The Desert. A hot and dry environment where few can survive without the right tools and traits. This is where the Slimes have evolved, near the most important resource a denizen of the Desert needs. An Oasis, filled with Water.

The Slimes are able to reproduce by using the water from the Oasis, and biological materials. Currently, the local cactus species is being used as the biological focus.

The heat of the desert is disliked by the Slimes, and is barely tolerated. This will have to be fixed soon, else we may not be able to leave our oasis.

Tge pic in the OP is used to choose the race and location of the civ, and the bonuses/penalties are usually kept in mind by the CM (Civ Master)

Actions usually use 1d100 rolls, and the CM could be strict or more lenient with how hard/easy certain actions are, 1's are usually complete failures, 100's are usually success beyond measure.

The CM chooses what actions are available, and has to remember the one most important rule to any game, and that is:

Have fun.

Summary: we have a shield against the sun, some knowledge of the surrounding area, a scary cave that we need to master, the possibility of hydrothermal vents, and the need to either farm cacti or seek another source of biomass (such as the aforementioned vents).
