If we buy one of the Ka’Kari, Retribution or Curoch, is that the original version or a copy?
Does the Library of the Dead refill, if so how fast, and does it follow you?

I'm getting pretty far on the PSG jump. Finished most of the origins perks and am currently working on Angels and Demons. Soon I'll get into equipment and companions. And than I'll be basically done!
>>
>>44639784
Once upon a time I was walking out in the snow when I saw a ring of flames.

Within was the most dazzling sight I had ever witnessed. I actually suffered a -1 to attack rolls and Perception checks just looking at her.

She was an angel, alight in flame and staring at me as if I had emerged from the very depths of Hell.

In that moment, I shrank before her in terror, and she understood. I was no god, like Mulcarn. It would be difficult, but I could be undone.

I was no god, like Mulcarn. It would take time, but I could be reasoned with.

I was no god, like Mulcarn. There would needs be incentive, but I could be made to kneel.

Even as I grew in power, she grew to keep me in check. Perhaps the most awe-inspiring thing about her, however, was this:

In my darkest hour, rather than watch my suffering - she saved me. She who had sought to contain the threat I presented fought in my name.

Sometimes, I still cannot understand why - but since that day I have appreciated her presence greatly.
>>
In the Civilization jump, do i need to take one of the win conditions or i can chose to be stuck in there for the entire duration of the jump (12.300 years)
>>
>>44640010
Once you achieve a win condition, you can leave whenever you wish.

Key word being CAN.
>>
>>44640070
Good, i really needed a place to try out some long term plans that the 10 year usual limit didn't allow to
>>
>>44639789
One of the few times I'd rather be a demon honestly.
>>
>>44640176
I don't blame you at all.

Though personally, as I kind of have angels as a running theme my preference would be to be an angel, but only to show up Panty and Stocking by doing my goddessblessed job properly, making the look like even dumber, incompetant, horrible people by comparison.
>>
>>44640098
I think it's generally advised to hold off on Civ jump for as long as possible. More then a couple powers grow with age/experience.

If I wanted to go to The Arrowverse (The Arrow, The Flash) would just picking it in DC Jump be necessary?

Used to be, sure, but these days there are a whole bunch of really long jumps around.
>>
>>44640219
I rolled it so i can't really hold it off, and from memory you can pick DCAU or comics in that jump, an arrow verse or dc cinematic jump would be wonderful. (you can probably pick it in that jump anyway, im sure no one would argue)
>>
>>44640219
DC is pretty much just the Comics and DCAU, anything else is too far out of it's intended scope.

So here's my stand, I didn't make it. JoJoAnon did before she left. It was called Steel Universe. However I renamed it Teenage Dream (Album from Katy Perry). Also renamed the abilities after lines from Fireworks by Katy Perry in the Teenage Dream Album.

Teenage Dream
Destructive Power: A-Rank
Speed: B-Rank
Range: A-Rank
Durability: D-Rank
Precision: D-Rank
Developmental Potential: 'A'

Ability: Ignite The Light
Teenage Dream can summon and ignite a huge variety of fireworks, including variants that have not been seen in the industry. The Stand-User can control:
-The size of the firework's explosion
-The exact coloration of the resulting flare
-The fuse time (time until it detonates)
- General size and shape.

Steel Universe Requiem
Ability: Hurricane Comes A Rainbow
The Stand-User could control Teenage Dream's fireworks before. But now they can add a whole new twist to each explosion. The Stand-User can add a variety of effects to each firework before they detonate. The effects will start off small, but that's why we have Developmental Potential Rank A - ALWAYS.

Did you want the giant dragon flare that Gandalf had stashed? You can create it. Do you want a massive firework that you can surf on across an ocean? Sure. Fireworks whose explosions mend wounds instead of scorching? Why not.Fireworks that explode and create a blast of ice? Can do.General Magical Firework Shenanigans? WHY. THE HELL. NOT.

Awakened Steel Universe
Ability: House Of Cards
The Stand-User can now transform anything within line-of-sight into a firework.

Jumpers do you have a waifu or companion from the Naruto jump?
>>
>>44640800
I keep meaning to ask.

The heck is an Awakened Stand? I only know of the requiems and you need an arrow for that.
>>
>>44641409
I took MC-KUN/CHAN, so I've got Naruto and Sasuke as companions. Or rather, Naruto and Satsuki. I used the 0CP version of the fanfic drawback to choose a world where Sasuke was female, to keep to the "teams are two boys and one girl" rule now that I was replacing Sakura. Also I kind of wanted to hook the two of them up, both because the pairing is obvious and because I wanted to mess with Hagoromo when it came time for him to hand out the final boss powerups. "Asura, Indra, I know I wanted you two to get along but I didn't mean like this".
>>
>>44641442
Awakened Stands are meant to be like what happened to Kira when he got nicked by the Arrow and got Killer Queen: Bites The Dust. It still requires the Arrow, it's just piercing yourself instead of the Stand.
>>
>>44641481
I'd accuse you of breaking Hinata's heart, but then again Hinata's a satelite character utterly defined by wanting Naruto so-eh, more power to you I guess.

>>44641442
Requiem is arrow piercing (and being logged into) your stand. It changes it into something else entirely. However if you're hit with the arrow again, your stand awakens. It gives you another ability to use.

Like >>44641491 said, the example is Killer Queen. When Kira was hit by the arrow, it allowed Killer Queen to awaken, which granted him a temporal bomb "Another One Bites The Dust", which when certain conditions are met the bomb seeks out the person who sets off the conditions. Blows them up, and resets time by a certain amount, and which case Kira then knows who triggered the bomb.

What do Jumpers think of Ise? Friend, foe, or walking target?

Not sure if I should instagib him.
>>

Personally friend, he can be fixed and he's not an asshole.

Foe if you want any canon girls.
Walking target if you're a magpie.
>>
>>44641725
He's just a dumb kid, no reason to really hate him. I did my best to whip him into shape, make him into a proper gentleman so that he'd be less annoying to deal with. I did punch him a few times, though, when I felt that he needed some operant conditioning. By the end of it, though, he was a much more pleasant person, he and Ddraig were working together properly, and his relationship with the girls was puerile power fantasy and more genuine relationship.

So, the three of us, Sada, Ayaka, and me, are all part of Amegakure, the village hidden in the rain. Which, if you don't know, is basically an industrialized dystopic hellhole.

Sada's a member of a disgraced sect of the Inuzuka clan, which sought to emulate and obtain the power of the tailed beasts. And yet, despite this... Sada's... well.
In addition to being a member of an offshoot of the Inuzuka clan, which is already pretty hotblooded, he also has the drawbacks Boiling Blood and THE CHOSEN ONE. Sada's just the best. He wants everyone to have a happy ending and is doing his darndest to save the Hidden Rain.
Sada's name means "Pure One" or "Good Fortune", depending on the language.
He's going to get his ass kicked.
Or he would, except... he's so idealistic, I can't help but want to protect him.
So I will.

Ayaka's the total opposite. A horrible bloodline cross between the Hyuga and Kaguya clans, she brings misfortune and death everywhere she goes, and is wanted dead and/or dissected by just about everyone. She's a crazy bloodknight who believes the world is KILL OR BE KILLED.
She takes positively sickening amounts of punishment and utilizes pressure points by slamming bone spikes into them. Yet still has a habit of overestimating herself. White hair, white eyes. She crazy.
Her name means "Colourful Flower" in Japanese.
Should I fix her...?

I'm not in Sasuka and Naruto's village.
So I made my own.

How bad of an idea is it to go to darksiders and become the rider of friendship?
>>
>>44640598
Firstly I feel the need to point out that Awakening/Requiem are mutually exclusive and permanent.
Okay, let's see:
>Jet Boy Jet Girl
Decent if a bit specific. Also is the last sentence on their base ability intended to be that they can make portals or move existing ones?
>Stereo Hearts
Basic ability is good, Awakened is a bit much in my view, Requiem has a major issue in that the Stand's range is measured from the user so the current version ends with the user as the center of a ball of tar.
>Bag of Hammers
Seems a bit overly limited in default state, probably drop the weight limit for a size limit and maybe include what's currently the Awakened ability as part of the normal Stand.
>Coffin Dance
Just plain doesn't feel like a Stand. Too many abilities with no thematic link. Requiem is plain ridiculously broken.
>Violet Stars Happy Hunting
A good Stand, though the specification about any energy it can absorb for the Awakened form is a bit odd since it can only do the two unless it goes for the other path. Requiem might be a bit strong but nothing too bad.
>Imaginary Places
Seems a bit too strong if only limit on what it can possess is other Stand Users. Also once more Awakening and Requiem are mutually exclusive, so the bit in the Requiem power about if also Awakened doesn't work.
>Time of the Season
A bit mundane, Awakened probably doesn't need the limits on what it can convey. Requiem is decent although the laser eyes are a bit much.
>Care of Cell 44
Range is an issue here, Stands generally cannot manifest effects too far outside their range so it wouldn't work too well here. Works decently otherwise so long as only the Stand can wring out the cloths and it has a limited amount of them.
>Benchwood Park
I'm honestly unsure how this is supposed to work.
>Walking in the Sun
How does manifestation of this work? The Requiem seems a bit odd, especially if the companion who's the original user can create a new one without reclaiming it after death.

Uh...

...actually? Not that damn bad an idea at all! Of the Darksiders games, War & Death tank the brunt of the plot anyway.

It would, however, be goddamn /hilarious/ in context. You must understand-the Riders used to be Nephilim, a species of angel-demon hybrids that conquered worlds until they rebelled, signed on as the Charred Council's enforcers and used the powers they were endowed with to slaughter their entire species.

So if you're the Rider of Friendship. You'd be known and feared throughout the realms for somehow assisting in the genocide of your own species...using the power of Friendship alongside things like Strife and Fury.
>>
>>44641717
Worth noting that both aren't something easily done. Bites the Dust was initiated by the Arrow, and Requiem we have the counterexample of Black Sabbath repeatedly stabbing Gold Experience with an Arrow showing that there's probably something more to Requiem than just hitting your Stand with the Arrow as well.

I'm wondering, jumpers, how do you guys do infrastructure? Do you have drones handle it? Do it yourself? Slaves?

I figure the best way would be to have a drone or two in your warehouse, have them replicate themselves in whatever jump you're in, then start dividing labor.
>>
Best place to pick up elemental powers? What can I do to overpower an avatar state avatar at their own game?
>>
>>44642522
Well mushoku tensei has some kickass elemental magic, pokemon have resistances, avatar, final fantasy in general.
>>
>>44642522
On a related note, if you took Dark Binding and gobbled up an avatar's soul/Raava, would you become the avatar?
>>
>>44642395
Drones, Nanoswarms, Automated facilities... all stored in the warehouse while I'm not using them. Space-expanders are so nice.
ACUs from SupCom are especially nice for setting up infrastructure.

Also, Shadow Clones of myself to produce stuff personally. Some stuff just needs that personal touch, right?
>>
>>44642229
Yeah, it's spelled out some in the Arrow's description. The sample Stands have both to serve as examples and allow some customization.

I personally do neither for my own Stands because Awakening is difficult to initiate and Requiem is a crapshoot in that it gives your Stand sapience. Sufficient willpower perks could probably reduce the risk of rampancy from Requiem but I don't feel like taking my chances.
>>
>>44642556
>Best settings for elemental powers
1.Avatar: TLA
2.Avatar: LOK
3.Bionicle
3.Inukami

>>44642556
No, Dark Binding works on souls and Raava's a spirit that grants the Avatar their powers.
>>
>>44642651
GRE didn't go berserk. Only reason why Chariot Requiem went berserk because it's user died right after being hit by the arrow. Same thing happened before with Notorious B.I.G. It's stand user died, and it became an independent stand.
>>
>>44642395
I got about 200 man sized drones that take care of building the initial infrastructure (to self replicate, resource gathering etc.) in almost every jump, they all run instances of the same semi-sapient AI and are coordinated by the main AI (the model is based on the E.V.E from anno 2070, but it's a bit improved)
>>44642574
>Nanoswarms
Where can i get me some knowledge to replicate those, i kind of need something like this
>>
>>44636029
So... I'll just post my preliminary build now?

Age: 20
Origin: Mage [50]
Loaction: Cenaria City
perks:
Talented, with upgrade [50] MAGIC!
Shrewd Politician [50] Lying! With MAGIC!
Wielder of Curoch [300] Okay. Pick up shiny sword?
Master of Assassination [100] Stabbity-stab. Also stealth MAGIC!
Ka’Karifer [600] Gotta go get a thing.
items:
Starting money [Free]
Sethi wine [50]
Mage Robes [Free]
Library [50] Need this, since I apparently can't buy magical training aside from stealth-based stuff?
Curoch [300] Shiny. Wonder if I can fuse this with my staff if I shift it into the form of a staff...
companions:
Orphan [50] -Oh, hey I have kleptomaniac kid. Sure.
drawbacks:
Damned [+600] So. Uh. Imma have to murder-stab a bitch? Can do. Possession's so hard to do when the mind is rend assunder, and the soul torn is flayed, and the body's stabbed with my shiny new sword.
I hate gods of evil. Or people pretending to be gods of evil.
So anyway, after apparently getting a nice, free White Ka'Kari... Guess it's time to clean house? Get rid of this 'God-King' and... basically all of Khalidor? Then go from there and uproot all the corruption and what not. Try and set this place up to be a *nice* place to live. Even if I have to burn everything down in a one-man crusade first.
...Propably gonna steal Retribution at some point through. Or well, 'borrow' without asking, copy it, then put it back. Gotta complete the set, after all.
I have no idea what I'm doing. Just gonna assume I'm in a hellhole and burning stuff/people for most of my time here. When not studying magic.

So, questions: Can I use multiple Ka'Kari? And/or swap them out? If so, I might need to look for the others...
>>
>>44642924
Why do I always forget picture?
>>
>>44642785
I said risk of rampancy, not guarantee. When we have two examples and one went completely batshit it's worth noting that attempts to reproduce that power up may cause issues too. It probably wasn't just Polnareff's body dying that kicked it off since everyone else could control their Stands perfectly fine when swapped around.
>>
>>44642924
May want to note that your companion is gone for good if you stab them with that shiny new sword.
>>
>>44642122
>we are friends so kill yourself please!
>>
>>44642909
GUNNM has some very good nanos. Iji too.
SimAnt can help you cram more stuff in there, and Worm has Miniaturization & Efficiency as one of it's Tinker powers which helps too.
>>
Anyone know if a Skullduggery Pleasant jump has ever been discussed?
>>
>>44643042
I think it has been mentioned before and noone wanted to try doing it because powerlevels or something.
>>
>>44642973
Well, yeah, so the idea is to just counter-telepath Khali, locate her actual body, and stab it.
If her possesion is a more permanent kind, abandoning her previous body to take my companion's... That's a bit more complicated to do, but actually quicker. Just need to focus a bit more on the telepathy and/or soul-flaying to rip her out, instead of having to locate a body.

...I don't have enough Night Angel knowledge to say for sure, but the wiki I read seems to imply it more of a remote control than a full mindswitch through.
>>
>>44643089
Isn't it a kids' series about a spooky scary skeleton who solves crime? The hell kind of powerlevels are there?
>>
>>44636029
This still needs a lot of work, on the basic jump completion level more drawbacks, complete lines of items for each origin instead of just slap dash with some origins getting artifacts while others get nothing or have to pay through the nose to get relatively mundane things like a forgery kit, and not randomly wanking your special sword to be capable of permakilling companions. Also just generally some more description and setting details are vital.
>>
>>44643276
You don't need to wank to permakill companions. You just do it and then don't let them revive.
>>
>>44643290
...since when do you "let" companions revive? My understanding from the pastebins and such is that it's a thing that automatically happens. Unless you mean calling in another companion to take up their slot before they finish reviving?
>>
>>44643331
It's up to you if you want your companions to come back. This is something that people were fine with back in the early days when companion rules were being lain out.
>>
>>44643290
Yes, but going "This thing can permakill your companions forever even if you don't want it to" is daft. Maybe until end of current jump if you really want to stretch it, but the current version is just trying to make his method of killing stuff special with little reason. There are hundreds of ways to die where resurrection should be impossible in the chain, none of them bypass companion respawn.
>>

>not randomly wanking your special sword to be capable of permakilling companions

This. There are far, far more powerful weapons in jumpchain that don't trigger the companion respawn mechanic. It makes no sense this thing can when the most broken things from Fate or Tenchi can't, in theory. I'm honestly surprised I didn't catch this thing on my first readthroughs.

If you learn your True Name you can gain a bunch of power and bullshit hax. Ans there are a few people who can stand up to people who know their Name even without knowing their.

Really though, I don't think it would be too hard. Even if you gave someone the option to learn their true name, just make it appropriately expensive and cap their power growth at a certain point (there is an actual example of a Named character growing in power over several books) until Post-Spark. And the only one who grows to absurd heights quickly is Darquesse and that's because she's the protagonists villain-sue superpowered evil side[/spoilers]. Argeddion took something like a century to grow to a similar level.

I'm not sure if I forgot that the routes were mutually exclusive or if it was ever mentioned. I'm just going to leave in the path I'll take.
http://pastebin.com/uC6MPUSp

Explanations, I guess:
Jet Boy Jet Girl is specific because I looked at one thing I could do and didn't want happening to me and built around that. It can move existing portals because I can already make some, and I'll probably have at least one more ability to do so before my jumping ends. I'd say it's more like a magnet than a hammer.

>Stereo Hearts
I'm changing the requiem ability to allow the tar to recede or only cover specific areas, and going with that.

>Bag Of Hammers
Doing exactly as you said.

>Coffin Dance
Reduced to a singular effect, rooting those who are stuck on a nail to a location.

>Violet Stars Happy Hunting
Removing Requiem solves stuff for this.

>Imaginary Places
I removed the mental effect entirely. Bodily possession only.

>Time of the Season
Going with Requiem for this and removing the laser eyes. Not sure how to make it less mundane, but Hol Horse had a gun that could control bullets, so I don't feel too bad about that.

>Care of Cell 44
The amount of cloths were limited and only the stand could wring out the cloths. Specifying that. Not sure whether the range is too much or too little. I honestly don't know what to make of most stats, such I winged the lot.

>Beechwood Park
Sound is just a form of kinetic energy transmitted through the air. This stand takes a written word that is supposed to translate into sound, turns it into a field of kinetic energy as if the loudest person possible were shouting them. Books to barriers. This energy is shaped by the stand into a shield, and then I lost it. Requiem is because it's unfair to permanently destroy someone's mind for a shield.

>Walking in the Sun
Forgot to think about the manifestation. Fixing that.

As a person who's been around for a while, this is a thing. It's not a 'you have to have people die' sort of thing (save for those perks or drawbacks which demand you put someone on the chopping block, but those WILL be very clearly marked usually), but we HAVE had people rule for their own personal chains whether a companion permadies or not.

Some people still do it to this day so they have additional risk/complications in their chain. Some people don't, content that their companions are safe or to have an endless supply of resources/disposable troops. Go with what you prefer.

>>
>>44643685
At the least ones from Quicksilvers original jumps and any jump that says so in the moving on section. The rest of them are up to you to wank.

Though the upgraded capstones from Gunnerkrigg specifically do not have their downsides go away.
>>
>>44643592
Oh snap, I almost forgot to ask you something! You're the Macross jumpmaker right?

Exactly what are the Protodevlin? Jump says they're some kinda space vampire, but what I read on the wiki makes them sound more like energy beings trapped in a fleshbag, like fabulous C'tan but less about absolute power in the materium and more about binging on life energy.

Are there any unique upsides to posessing Anima Spiritia for a Protodevlin in particular? And-not relevant to the era I rolled, but who would you bet on in a battle between an "unstabilised" Protodevlin who's well-fed and the Vajra hivemind?
>>
>>44643418
On Time of the Season I meant bit mundane about the base form. The Requiem does a decent job of turning it into something more than clarivoyance with a couple side tricks. As for Cell 44's range you'll probably be wanting A if it's intended to distribute the cloths around prefight, maybe have it be an item Stand (great range in exchange for being bound into a physical medium). Beechwood Park is interesting, reminiscent of Echoes but notably different.
>>
>>44643685
Depends.
>>

>>
>>44643734
Speaking of Gunnerkrigg-while you're in Your Own Little World is it easier to perform normally "impossible" feats? Because there was that recent chapter when the robots and the ship specifically sabotaged Zimmy to exploit her ether-based reality warping to create an environment where the ship could build a body to woo the giant crustacean lady
>>
>>44643734
That's always annoyed me. I want the upgraded shapeshifting perk, but I know I'd get stuck as a flaming dildo or something.

Not to mention how utterly useless the Zimmy based one is.
>>
>>44643803
No, King in Your Head is required to try and pull that kind of stuff. Especially since it is a toned down version of zimmy's powers.
>>
Dude, Mark Hamill just kills it in The Flash.
>>
>>44643827
Gunnerkrigg court has some serious power variation, not taking. Those perks puts you out of thr big leagues and even with them a fight against coyote is madness. Coyote has specifically been shown to be both very physically capable and very conceptually capable. Zimmy is pretty much actually a god but with the fact that her fears are real is an issue keeps her in check. Kat has literally done the impossible by reading things that explicitly do not make sense. The protaganist Annie? She makes fire. Not a lot of it either, and she hasn't shown any type of fancy pyrokinesis.

The powers drawbacks are all them going to far and getting out of yout control, and are thus a way of handing you a lot of power but without unbalancing the chain if you can avoid the big leagues in Gunnerkrigg court.

Also, all of them can be mediated by perks from other jumps.

Okay, so there used to be these guys called the Protoculture, your typical precursor race style thing. They conquered the galaxy using their armies, among which were the Zentraedi, the genetically altered descendants of prehistoric humans that they abducted. They really liked the Zentraedi, considered them their favorite weapon, so they put a lot of work into improving them. But their energy demands got too high when the Protoculture added all the cool features they wanted to their new "Evil Series" of Zentraedi, so they gave them biotech reactors draining energy from another dimension. Some sort of energy parasite wound up infecting the Evil Series, fusing with them to become the Protodeviln. The Protodeviln then rampaged across the galaxy and nearly ate everyone, but were finally stopped by the Zentraedi. That's what the Zentraedi fleet was doing when they discovered Earth, they were looking for any remnants of the Protodeviln's "Supervision Army" that they used to conquer planets.

Anyway, the other questions. Anima Spiritia is the same sort of life force that the Protodeviln feed on, just so intense that they choke on it. A Protodeviln that can harness it properly is actually very strong as a result, but getting there is near impossible. Sivyl manage it during the finale of Macross 7, feeding off of Basara's Anima Spiritia to shield him from Gepelnitch's aura while they were trying to convert him to a stable form. There are also some attacks in the SRW games that Macross 7 is in that have Sivyl consume Basara's Spiritia to fire really strong energy blasts.

As for who would win between unstable Protodeviln and the Vajra? That's a tough one. I want to say Protodeviln, just because of Gepelnitch's Spiritia Black Hole aura. Dude could theoretically all life in the galaxy if unchecked. Vajra are tough, but they're more on the level of threatening multiple star systems than every star system at once.
>>
>>44643952
This. Coyote makes a hobby of screwing over the other local supernatural powerhouses basically whenever he feels bored. He literally steals the moon and shrinks it effortlessly just to prove a point to Annie. His true form is something more reminiscent of ASA than anything like a coyote.

>>44643735
Well, they ARE space vampires. Some looked human due to possessing people, others looked monstrous due to possessing 'Evil' creatures. For the purpose of the jump, you decide which one it is and you're given that as a form. No possession, just body right there. Having Anima Spiritia as a Protodeviln will usually mean you're a stronger variant. Not like the "now I can break battleships by thinking it" kind, but I mean... come on. It's life energy. How the hell is that not an upgrade anyway? You'll probably find some abilities that needed life force getting a decent boost.

What? What does this have to do with anything? I've read the comic, I know what the characters can do, ans I know it says in the jumps that the drawbacks are you abusing the abilities, but...that's not true.

Tall Tales That Grew True makes it so you can't even lie properly because you believe everything you say.

King in Your Head means you can't even control when your power activates. Remember what that did to Zimmy? I mean, we can use perks to keep from going insane, but still.

The reasoning behind the drawbacks still stands, though I do agree they could be worded better it takes time for me to go through and fix jumps.

Since they are so much better than anything else in the jump even if I hiked the CP cost they still would be the thing everyone guns for.

At the very least you can avoid taking them because the drawbacks are not for you. That is actually why I had them as additions to the perks, so that noone would be forced to take them.
>>
>>44644190
I don't think anyone's ever taken any of 'em actually. Permanent drawbacks dissuade a lot of people. Hell a lot of people still avoid vampires despite there being a perk that greatly diminished their weaknesses and a few combos that can remove it with time.

>>
>>44645017
Kirby has Dream Power, that's a pretty good anti-corruption perk. There's also Re-Birth from Cardfight Vanguard, which means that attempts to corrupt actually just siphon the attacker's energy. Now combine it with Turning The Tables from Animorphs, which makes any attempts to control or corrupt you reflected at the person who initiated it. Anyone who tries to corrupt you gets corrupted right back, and since you're draining their energy it's much more likely to succeed. Plus, they'll probably be responding to your lack of corruption by trying even harder, which strengthens your counterattack and drains even more of their energy. It makes for some delicious irony.

To be fair, I can think of at least 3 Jumps that have that issue, just off the top of my head, and all of them I've worked on.
I don't know enough about any of the other jumps or settings to tell, but I can guess a few of them have only one or two events that take place in a relatively short amount of time that constitute the 'plot'
(Like JoJo)

In other news...
Pic semi-related, Unfortunately I've hit a snag with Kid Radd Re-make so I'm unable to work on Mucha Lucha as much.
It is still comin' along, though
>>
What would you say the effects of Historical Accuracy (Xena/Hercules) would be on jumps set in the future? Could I still use it to get rid of anachronisms, even though that history doesn't exist yet? You know, just bring things more in line with each other, smooth out the setting details to make more sense. I wouldn't be changing the overall plot, just altering details to something that doesn't make me go "but how does that work?". Does that sound reasonable, so long as I'm not getting any concrete benefit out of it?
>>
>>44645240
You could actually do that with just Re-Birth, I believe, no need for combos. This is just for the fun of counter-mind controlling people.
>>
>>44645306
I think so. Like, if people somehow have guns in a medieval setting maybe they have some other form of long-ranged weaponry that gives them an overwhelming advantage against the plebian masses, like wizard staffs (this hypothetical setting is magical). So history doesn't change per se, it just makes more sense.
>>
>>44645299

It does the second part even in-jump, if you'll see the descriptions from the Movement-based magic.
However, Monster magic does indeed target a person's soul outside of the jump. Anything SOUL-related works about as well outside of the jump, including possessing a powerful SOUL(as humans do)
>>

>>44645451
No, I was talking more about TOME, Cave Story and Undertale.
TOME has essentially a year of 'plot', with most of it affection a single social group and then culminating in a massive game-changin event at the end of the first year.
Cave Story's plot seems to take place over the course of at most, a day or two.
Undertale's main plot and conflict takes place in the matter of hours, Possibly even simply 5 hours out of 10 years.

Granted, I'll say there are definitely things to do within the decade time period as the worlds themselves are probably extremely interesting even outside of the main plot, but I can see why something like Tenacious D wouldn't work unless you had guitar duels regularly deciding people's fates.
But then we might as well just get working on a Gitaroo Man jump

I'm not retaining Realpolitik to get any sort of tangible benefit to negotiation (in fact, having actually competent politicians would often hinder me) I'm retaining it so that I don't facepalm every five minutes.
>>
>>44645559
Well, it's not necessarily benefitting him. More the world itself, since some won't be running on the say-so of an author from another universe and ontological inertia. Hell, in worlds that were originally idealistic it could easily turn into an actual drawback worthy of gaining CP.
>>
So I'm thinking of doing a chain where I become as (literally) divine as I can. How many jumps let you become a god? So far I have Smite and Supernatural.
>>
>>44645702
God of War, Binbougami Ga and Okami come to mind, as well as Wakfu(though that's an optional thing at the end that requires you to do some Bullshit)
>>
>>44645702
Okami ,percy jackson, lords of light
>>
>>44645702
Percy Jackson lets you go Demigod, which might not be what you're looking for but it's close enough.
MCU lets you be an Asgardian, which may or may not count...
Lord of Light and Ashura's Wrath may or may not count as well depending on what you consider the gods there on the divinity scale
>>
>>44644818
Is red your favorite colour?
>>
>>44645702
God of War, Okami, Captain Planet, Golden Sky Stories (albeit a very minor one), Binbougami Ga, Percy Jackson (well, demigod), Asura's Wrath, arguably Dresden Files if you take the right employer with Job Offer, probably others but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
>>
>>44645559
If it were that he's making them all bow down to him or something it would be giving him an advantage. With his example it can easily be argued that it gives him no advantage besides the setting being more bearable.
>>
>>44645702
God of war, darksiders, wakfu, percy jackson, binbougami, fate jumps, lord of light, journey to the west, smite, asura's wrath, xena & hercules.

All of the above give some form of divinity. Either immediately or over time.

Asura's Wrath (iffy due to technology, but you do benefit from worship), Lord of Light(also INCREDIBLY iffy, it's just a name thing, likely not the true 'Divine'), Populous (due to benefiting from worship like AW), Okami, Percy Jackson, Bomberman, Primal Rage, Girl-chan in Paradise, Supernatural, Mushoku Tensei, Warriors Orochi, Fate/Extra (while the other Fate jump could work, /Extra is the only one you can get EX Divinity in), God of War, Xena/Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Binbougami ga (due to if you absorb enough fortune energy you become a minor god) and Smite...

..I-I don't keep track because of options I took, you know. I'm just letting you know because you asked.

>>44645797
It actually is!

you can acquire it in a number of ways. One of which requires you to be a dragon, complete a prestige class and eat your own hoard.
>>
>>44646134
in some systems it's the same thing.

Aren't a lot of demons just the gods of a different religion than the book you're reading? I seem to recall that several of the Bible's major demons can by traced back to 'god of those pagans we crushed a few years ago' or 'god of the pagans we are fighting right now.'

As creator of VtR I made sure to state that the weaknesses go away. Not all creators do put that in, so it's up to the creator to spell it out or not.

I personally go with the rule if it's not spelled out that say silver allergy to werewolves goes away after the Jump ends. Then it doesn't go away, when you're in that alt-form. Or if you choose to combine them, when you add that altform to the rest instead having it seperate.
>>
>>44646134

Implying demon gods don't exist
>>
>>44646102
For a complete noob to D&D what sort of immunities come from that? What does it take to get divine rank 0?
>>
>>44646382
At Divine Rank 0, the Deity template grants immunity to unwanted transformation, effects that would reduce your abilities, or mental influence. Those immunities don't work against anything with a higher Divine Rank, though, so it's not useful against other gods. As for gaining Divine Rank 0, there are a few prestige classes that grant it, I'd have to look them up to tell you which ones.

Jared Leto is a totally different Joker. He's more like the Joker from Frank Miller's Batman Returns. Which is the running theme of the DCCU, take a bit of Frank Miller's run and tweak it.

I do think the tattoos all over his face are silly. However it would be something the Joker would do. He's very definition of Chaotic Evil. You never know exactly what he'll do next. In one of his Graphic Novels he takes a henchman under his wing, then in the last scene Joker stabs him for no reason. For heaven's sake the Joker has cut off his face before and crudely stapled it back on.

A long time. There's 10 levels of Dragon. There's only one 10th level Dragon, his name is Borys the Dwarfslayer. He was chosen by his fellow SKs, and they sped his evolution up. He's the gatekeeper for their master, the immortal spirit Rajaat.

Each step costs thousands of lives, decades if not centuries of gathering the supplies. Then every other level you go insane for a few centuries, the pain is so intense that you lose your higher brain functions for awhile.

A lot of the SKs have stopped or slowed their evolution because of this reason. The one SK that thought to become the next Dragon, was gang banged by his colleagues. He "survived" as a Dracolich, and sought to be the true god on Athas. Needless to say it didn't end too well for him.

I have an explicit line to never fight a god if I can help it. It just seems outside of my station, it's not right to me.

Unfortunately, FFXIV decided to take a look and completely screw me over. See, the Ascians are fun in that they have the power of the Echo in a very specific manner; they can body hop and move to another person after they get killed. So in order to kill them, you have to either absorb them as fuel to permakill them, blast them with enough Aether to WIPE THEM OUT or trap them in White Auracite before you shatter it. So long story short, you have to basically blow up their soul. Which didn't sit well with me WHATSOEVER. The Ascians, being the dicks they are, caught up on this pretty quickly and taunted me. Boasting how if I didn't destroy them there, Zodiark would be summoned.

I couldn't do it. I just could not destroy a soul. I couldn't go through with it.

Zodiark got summoned. It was fight the god or everything gets even worse than before, with Tempering and all kinds of forced worship all around. I had to cross a line there, and I didn't like a single bit of it. I really want to say I didn't have a choice. That I was forced into it.

But we all know it's a lie, and that it was my own actions that led me to that point.

I don't have much of a code, not trying to be edgy or anything...I just don't have "this is a thing that I won't do" that I've broken as much
No rape, no carelessly stealing/murdering from someone who hasn't earned it(My only regret in Hotline Miami was not doing more damage to the mob), nothing of the sort.

There is ONE thing that I always prided myself on that sort of went away with God of War, though.
I'd considered myself kind of a free spirit, following only my whims, my stomach, and my heart. maaaybe my dick but that's not important for this bit
I became the big oppressing force guy, even a little bit, by siding with Olympus in God of War.
Even if I was some free spirited god of parties on par with Dionysus, I was still at least in some way responsible for asshole gods being alive, well, and in charge...Mostly by murdering Kratos.

I let him live.

I took that drawback that gives Hephaestus all your appearance perks, while rendering you into some kind of horrible troglodyte. Then I spent the entire jump in the form of a Jabberwock (Thanks, Through The Looking Glass!). So I was some kind of absolutely hideous spine of a dragon thing with swords for teeth and claws.
I spent most of the jump hitting on people.

But the best part was when Kratos went full murderhobo. Because murdering a god would grant him their power. And, eventually, he got to Hephaestus.
... so, upon his death, all at once, Kratos was suddenly engulfed in a torrent of sparkles and light, as Literally Every Cute Perk was forced into his soul, transforming him into the universe's most adorable loli.

I laughed like a madwoman for the rest of the jump, my joy punctuated only by Kratos's high-pitched screams of unfathomable hatred.

I let him live.

The difficulties will depend on how you do it. If you're just going to drop them off on a rock somewhere and let them figure it out, ehhh, all you need is numbers.

If you want to recreate their culture, or have a hand in it, then you'd need some place for them to mature and socialize before you set them off wherever.

As for numbers, you could do a generation or two of vat borne and then transition to more ordinary procreation after that. I imagine studying science in Macross would be of some benefit here.

I give each Earth I visit a gift.

I remove the god damned Giant Panda.

They don't want to breed - THEY'RE TRYING TO RENDER THEMSELVES EXTINCT FOR CHRIST'S SAKE BY BEING A SPECIES OF BUMBLING RETARDS. WHY DO WE KEEP THEM ALIVE.
>>
>>44650254
I make small pockets of cyptozooligical animals: jackalopes, chupacabras, etc. Nothing world ending, but smart enough to justify the whole No One Has Evidence Of Them bit and physically powerful enough to handle themselves.

There's a big argument among ecologists on whether or not we should preserve species that are dying out naturally, without it being caused by us. Some feel that unnaturally preserving these species is just as bad as interfering with nature by killing species off, while others feel that humans should be caretakers and preserve as many species as possible.
>>
>>44650013
I hatched a group of Charmanders in Dark Souls.
>>
>>44650298
Even if we were to preserve species that would die off without us, the pandas are a gigantic moneysink that could save so many so much worthier species.
>>
>>44650359
But they're cute.

I kind of wish the damn things would just be seen as a lost cause already, too.
>>
>>44650013
A few times. I like to just create monsters myself normally, but some species are just awesome and need to be in more places.

Cloning of an initial population is... a bit of an undertaking to produce the numbers for a viable genepool.
After that, I sometimes help 'em set up personally, sometimes just set them loose with a few central buildings containing automated teaching facilities, records, and artifacts of the original civilization.
Always drop 'em in an appropriate out-of-the-way location to grow before encountering the universe natives.
>>
>>44650359
Pandas are mainly used as poster children. You put up a picture of a cute panda and say WE NEED MONEY TO SAVE ANIMALS, and unless you're a fund specifically only for pandas, you take the cash you get and use it to fund many kinds of animal preservation projects, and not pandas. They're just for making the public care.

Though yeah, I don't particularly care for pandas either. If we had to we could probably put up some other really cute thing. I vote red pandas. They're cuter and not as suicidal, and also they're called pandas too.

Honestly you want them to rebound, you'll have to curb China's growth. That's main reason why they're dying out because there's billion plus Chinese, and they need resources. The Panda is a very specialized bear, not unlike the Polar Bear. If it's to succeed or fail as a species, it should do so on it's own. Instead being forced into extinction, by a species that doesn't know how to curb their growth. It wouldn't be a problem if there was multiple planets, which the growth could be spread across. However so far we just have the one planet. Or most settings just have the one planet. So it's like the Earth/World's is your house. You decide that you were gonna move 3 families of 4.5 people each in a two bedroom house, but never take out the trash and wonder why your dogs are suffering.
>>
So if I want to splice a bunch of different species/superpowered people together and use it to turn myself into a mary-suish amalgam with all of their strengths and none of their weaknesses, what perks/abilities/tech do I need?
>>
>>44650579
Those wasps inject their larvae into various insects. Then the larvae eats the insect alive from the inside, and uses it's carcass as a caccoon to emerge as an adult. Very xenomorph like.

from the wiki, as an explanation as to why death is permanent:
>This is also one of the only things that can destroy a ka'kari. This is demonstrated when Garuwashi duels Kylar and cuts him through his ka'kari. It would also permanently kill him as the ka'kari explains to Kylar that Jorsin didnt want ANYONE to get up after being killed, and wanted a way to control even the owner of the black ka'kari.
I may rework the item so it doesn't have that power, but afaik, this thing causes revivals to fail

hero water is special water possessed by the village hidden in the waterfall. It can massively boost your abilities for a short period(before it kills you). This village is also the home of Fuu jinchuriki of the 7 tails.

The reibi (zero tails) is a malevolent entity similar to the tailed beasts(though not truly one of them) that is fueled by so called dark chakra(that comes from all of the worlds evil)
Both the hero water and the reibi were in movies. So was chakra armor for that matter(the armor originating in the land of snow)

Anyone have an idea on how fast XMen Quicksilver moves? Just wondering how to recreate the kitchen scene with Quicksilver.
>>
>>44652959
Well bullets seem to be moving at a very slow pace. So I think somewhere around Mach 3 to 4 would be good start. In comics Quicksilver could push past Mach 10. He does it to kill other speedsters that think they're better, by literally going faster than them, dragging them along the ground face first.
>>
I need to be able to either:

A: Somehow make it so I can't lose items.

Or B: Somehow be able to make perfect, functioning replicas of any item so it doesn't matter if I lose them.

How should I do this?
>>
>>44653259
So, you think it's doable with time magic and the ability to move at mach 5.5?
>>

>A: Somehow make it so I can't lose items.

A: Any CP item can't be lost. For everything else, Replicators, industrial magic, etc.

B: Minecraft's Cheat Mode. Works on anything you own, totally perfect duplicate.

>>
>>44653955
you mean wildbow stupidly advanced science right?
>>
>>44653834
Was it obvious?

>>44653911
First, you need to capture an Endbringer intact to reverse engineer.

...I'm not saying it's IMPOSSIBLE, but it's a pretty important first step.
>>
>>44653911
Your best bet is to take the Reverse Engineering shard and then study any of Hero's stuff that you can get your hands on. His Tinker specialty was reproducing the "primary tools" that the Entities themselves made use of, so he'd be the place to start with figuring out how to make Endbringer tech.
>>
>>44653999
It would really seem easier than killing them.
>>
>>44653911
As much as you could reverse engineer a Shard.

...Which actually would be a lot easier, seeing as it won't fight back.
>>
>>44653900
No, given how much actual cosmic weight comes with being a Magi.
>>
So I was wondering, is the best way to get TARDIS-tech to just reverse-engineer whatever an actual TARDIS uses to be bigger on the inside?
>>
>>44653517
>Maximum FISS
What's the general consensus on training FISS and other speed and strength perks up?

Do you think you could train and continue to increase your strength and speed past FISS level 5?
>>
>>44653514
much as I love d&d magic, it's time stop is substandard
>>
>>44654150
Assuming you could? I guess its possible.

You'd need some pretty special equipment, though. Multi-tonne plates will need to be created for lifting. You'll need lots of room to train speed. You might be able to offset that with having a room or something to increase gravity in, but then you have to worry about containment.
>>
>>44654227
Given that there are plenty of heroes that lift more than most jumpers, you could probably pick up training equipment in either Marvel or DC.
>>

>>

>>44654006

Its a jump about super cops and practical application/understanding of powers.
>>
>>44654227
Dude.

Killer Instinct. Combo Gym. Scales to your strength level.

Squirrel & Hedgehog. Training Course. Can scale it to you.
>>
>>44654367
But that brings up the question of whether or not they have enough of a mind that a real telepath could interact with them.

Also, Hero's a hero and ridiculously overpowered. Problem is that he's a Cauldron member, like the other triumvirate goobers. So bringing him back puts you on the spotlight for those jerks, and your complementary immunity to precognition could make you stick out like a sore thumb eventually. Depending on your power level, this can be the worst possible scenario besides Scion deciding you don't deserve to live, or the easiest way of solving the setting.
>>
>>44654484
>Its a jump about super cops and practical application/understanding of powers.

>>
>>44654559
But is Thor a peak Asgardians or a super-Asgardian?
>>
>>44654514
Actually not preachy at all. It's realistic depiction of superheroics - to the point where you have a drill sergeant telling a shooty-power Heroine this little line.

"See where you're aiming? In combat imagine that going literally everywhere else, and plan accordingly."
>>
>>44654512

>Keep in mind that wavelengths are reference specifically by Scion in relation to Jack and Jack's secondary power. They're also mentioned frequently in the context of Scion - ripples and waves. Finally, it's also suggested that they didn't even really realize he had a focus at all - he was broad in what he could do.

>Do you see how these ideas connect?

>Eden was the scholar, Scion the soldier. They had the same tools, but empathized different ones. So picture Eden taking the primary tools that Scion had and giving them to a tinker so the human could use human ingenuity to explore those tools. Naturally it would be paced out by needing to design and tinker and find materials, using those materials in a sorta kludgy way (ie. have to carry the items, pull triggers, type stuff in), and would have some limitations she tacked on. Except she broke down before she could tailor the restriction part, leading to a vial giving some Scion Lite tools to an otherwise unrestricted tinker, who then joined/helped form an organization that gave him endless materials. That's Hero.

And Cauldron actually thought letting him die was a thing that should happen.

Fucking hell.
