Just not sure to run the Y-wings with BTL-A4, ion turrets and R2 astromechs or without the title and with twin laser turrets for the same price. Guess I will try both.

It was an enemy type in the RotS game, like Brute - which was clearly meant as an enemy descriptor not a literal description of the rank within the Jedi until Jedi Path decided "sure, Jedi Sniper and Brute sounds like a real thing!"

Would be a cool spec for a Sentinel in F&D though, get some Saber Throw, Intuitive Shot and Prescient Shot in there, maybe an improved Saber throw so you can hit multiple opponents.

I posted a few days ago about moving to a new area and everyone calling me a tourneyfag for playing really basic, noncompetitive builds because they're fucking clowns. The other day I found out that they're calling me 'Jewlob' because I ran a Palob list that they thought was unfair. Now I mad (also drunk) and I'm fixing to go to a tournament this week and fucking obliterate all of them.

I originally ran Palob w/ Opportunist, MC, and Blaster Turret + Torkil w/ TLT and Tactician, Y-Wing w/ TLT, and a Binayre with Cluster and glitter.

I'm going to add either Recon Spec or K-4 to Palob, trying to decide whether I should keep Opportunist and downgrade my Z to Hotshot or Feedback or something or swap Opportunist for Expert Handling for some crazy TL dropping BS and running the Z with homing missiles.

Help me ruin their gay little meta.
>>
>>44467479
The khyraxxz is pretty slick. I like it.

Don't ever bother with Gaz the Hunter. He's shit. But Talonbane is good. Give him Glitterstim, Engine Upgrade, and either Crackshot, Predator, Veteran Instincts, or Swarm Tactics if you want. Mine usually comes out to a cool 35pts. He's an alpha-striker, but don't expect him to be your ace in the hole who will carry you through to end game.

Cartel Maurauders are good, cheap ships. And worth the 20pts. Black Sun Aces are your go-to when you need something a bit more than that. 24pts buys you a Black Sun Ace with Crackshot. 26 adds Glitterstim on it.

Reposting from previous thread.

Have you guys ever used the "brace" talent from FFG's EotE/AoE books? Could someone use it to remove a setback dice from an enemy's cover? It's so vague (there not being any examples doesn't help) that I'm not really sure how to handle it.

Isn't aiming a better maneuver?

Aiming doesn't remove setback, it just gets you more Boost dice which doesn't necessarily mean the check will go better for you.

I have a PC who braces regularly, mostly to get rid of a setback from using his weapon with the Riot Shield - I've also allowed it to eat setback dice for being over-encumbered and the like.

A GM could add a few setback for any number of reasons, Brace is kind of a broad counter to that. Like "I want to shoot my rifle from this moving space car to the other moving space car, never mind that we're at enough speed we can move several km in a single combat round", that's probably calling for a setback or two.
>>
So as someone who owns neither an A-wing or a B-wing, what benefit does buying a rebel aces pack give me over buying the two individually?
>>
>>44467581
I think it's stated somewhere that most contemporary ballistics would be ineffective against any half decent armor and just bounce off like nothing, and that blisters are popular because they counter the use of most combat armor.

Also, bullets are probably able to be stopped mid flight via the force, making them ineffective against a force sensitive.
>>
>>44467582
On Wedge? Tough call. Predator is a good standby. If you can get outside of someone's arc, Outmaneuver makes him lethal as fuck. Veteran Instincts is a good way to secure him as top PS. Expert Handling isn't a bad option if you give him an R2 and don't want to go with an Engine Upgrade.

But lately? I've been loving Crackshot.

Heavy ass fog that's adding 3 setback, or any multiple instances of unsuitable conditions at once that are adding 2 or more setbacks, will benefit from multiple ranks of Brace more than aiming in combat scenarios. And Brace can be used on any check imposed by shit conditions. So somebody trying to fix stuff or heal somebody in a sandstorm would benefit from it while Aiming wouldn't be applicable.

And no, you can't use Brace on cover.
>>
>>44467715
>>44467591

The setback die from Cover is basically Ranged Defense 1 - and extended to checks like Perception and Vigilance because there's a physical object between you and the target.
>>
>>44467670
For the A-Wing, it brings the points down a bit if you don't want to use a missile, adds a GREAT missile option, and has a title (2 copies) that lets A-Wings equip 2 EPTs.

For the B-Wing, it doesn't do that much. Some neat pilots, and 2 copies of a card that adds a crew slot.

That said, buying 1 of each normal expansion and 1 aces pack gives you a great pile of stuff, since aces has enough upgrades to cover the normal A/B.

>>
>>44467670

Some neat pilots, some extra upgrades, and a couple of mods and titles that really change up the game when it comes to your ships. A-Wings get a title that lets you take TWO EPTs and a torpedo mod that reduces the ship's cost if you don't want to take missiles, and B-Wings get an upgrade that lets them carry a Crew card.

Get both Aces and the individuals.

Aces has Kyle and Jan crew cards, some good pilots, the a-wing missile refit, proton rockets, Test Pilot title giving you two EPTs, and the b-wing crew mod.

The individual kits give you different pilots, fire control system in the B-Wing, and push the limit in the a-wing.

I never got the Palob+Opportunist love, it seems like your limited turret range+limiting to green moves makes the worst of the HWK's already crappy dial.

What all do you have for ships?
>>
>>44467542
So uncivilised...
>>
>>44467770
The K4 is nice so long as you're doing greens, and works well if you're getting stress from another combo (like opportunist). The Recce Spec is good if you feel like you need a mountain of focus, but Scum HWKs don't tend to need it as much.

The two Mangler-scyk idea is more to compliment the Khyraxxz, and make people rage when you kill them... With scyks. Otherwise, yeah Scyks are in a bad place.

With 15pts, you could always go Z-95 bannana pirate with an advanced homing missile, -or- a bugzapper array. Bugzappers make hilarious blockers.
>>
>>44467855
Palob + Opportunist actually works pretty well when you've got other ships also fueled off Opportunist. Kath with a K4 is a great example. Range 1 to 2 is easy to stay in, and someone like Kath can exploit the Opportunist while slow rolling around with green maneuvers and free target locks. People stop laughing at Palob and Kath when they watch their ace take 6 dice to the face.
>>
>>44467855
I've got a fuckton of everything, that's not the issue. I did consider Expert Handling for BR shenanigans
>>
>>44468007
You could also go Torkul Mux, and give someone else Predator (or a couple ships). Mux + Predator is a really dirty combo.
>>
>>44468007
I've been running Palob/Torkil with EH/EU respectively, I feel like they need the range control much of the time. As long as Palob has the title he should be fine.

So I've been thinking about running a Star Wars RPG for my group and I can't decide if I should stick with Saga, which I'm already familiar with, or dive into the FFG games. Looking over FFG's books I actually quite like the sound of the system, except those god damned dice. I doubt anyone in my group is going to be willing to buy them, so we're probably going to end up with just one set between us and the browser based die roller. Also I was kind of hoping the new system would solve the problem of feeling like I need to pour over a dozen different books to find all the content I want like with Saga, but the FFG game seem to suffer from the same problem with it being divided into the three core books.

Any opinions?
>>
>>44468128

Well, apparnelty Mobquet Medium Transport models actually appear in the background of some Firefly episodes, but in terms of role, something like a GX1 Short Hauler or a Nova Courier probably fits best. Or any number of CEC designs. CEC must make like 80% of their dosh on space trucks.
>>
>>44468243

Technically speaking, you only need one core book to run the game. It has all the basics you need in terms of appropriate equipment, ships and rules, etc. You can run all smugglers/scum, all Rebels or all Jedi out of a single core. And if you have a player who is a specific career they may benefit from looking through their associate splatbook, as you as a GM will benefit from the advice and elements specific to that class.

If you want to integrate all that stuff, then you actually want to look at multiple cores. But that really depends on the type of game you want to run.
>>
Having some trouble with Jedi Academy. I'm on the mission where you infiltrate Vader's Castle with Kyle. I got to the part where you and Kyle split up in the trash compactor; after flipping the switch and meeting back up, I can't figure out what to do. Dude, I'm so excite for my upcoming game of FFG Star wars. I've been collecting a shit ton of homebrew stuff for the campaign since despite owning the three core books (and a few addons) very little of what I am hoping to use is going to be included in the books time periods.

I'm basically running the Phantom Menace, except instead of Jin and Kenobi, they've sent up 4 Jedi, who then encounter an astromech and a Mandalorian warrior when they run off.

Cannot wait to see how they fuck up the timeline, considering we're all fans and know the movies, books, and games pretty well.

I just need the star wars themes to play in the background while we play.

Anyone have any tips to build an enemy Jedi capable of providing a decent challenge to two jedi?

>>44468474

Well, I mean, it makes a lot of sense, as CEC has a decent strategy - they make deliberately modular ships which are rugged and have lots of room to customize. If you don't care for how one model in particular turns out, you can check out a different model. There's a couple of designers over the years who have designs which are useful or popular, though that doesn't mean that like 50% of freighter/transport classes in FFG aren't CEC models.

And then they turn that money into the big deal ships like Corvettes and Gozantis, and Starbolt Assault Carriers.

Man, the plot of The Crystal Star makes no sense. Why did they need the weird "Howlrunnder strapped to a big ass cargo pod" ship to get Dyzm free? They already got him on board Leia's cruiser in the start, and managed to sneak out enough plague bugs to destabilize the whole region in a pandemic!

Why NOT just spread from there? Sure it would be a slower spread than taking an entire shipping container of Droch bugs out in one go, but that's surely all they needed.

Such a simple use of the Force that carries with it a huge amount of emotional weight. It's just picking up a ship and moving it, but to our apprentice, it seems like the impossible, and the score is done perfectly for the scene with Based John Williams.

Shit like this is why Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars movie. I still feel myself tearing up a little when I watch this scene, even after analyzing its every element, it still conveys its power so effectively.

Are the FFG RPG starter sets any good? I've been thinking about picking up the F&D or EoE starter sets as an intro to the respective games. Can the real games cross over normally, or is it like the 40k FFG games where there is a power curve between them?
>>
>>44467737
Brace doesn't work on cover, at all. 1 section, 3rd question. https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/108101-ffg-developer-answered-questions/

The idea of brace is that you're preparing yourself or positioning yourself in a way that helps against poor environmental conditions. Negating Defense from Cover is more covered by Precise Aim, and trying to negate Setbacks when doing Perception/Vigilance checks through objects is more covered by stuff like the Multi-Optic Sight attachment.
>>
>>44469334

Nope, no power curve. A 100 XP character in EotE is a 100 XP character in AoR is a 100 XP character in F&D.

FS tend to get pretty brutal at high XP levels due to force powers and lightsabers, but for everyone else there's shit like rolling 5 yellow to fly the ship or autofire/blast weapons.
>>
>>44469148
I can't believe you don't know that push escapes choke.

>>
>>44469334
They cross over fine, Force Users will only outclass everyone else if they're in a relatively high XP range (300+) and they're min/max-ing. But even then, a min/max-ing EotE/AoR character will still outclass a min/max-ing FaD character until way high XP levels (probably closer to 600xp).

And you don't really need to buy more than one Beginner Game unless you HAVE to have the different adventures or included tokens/maps. If you only care about one of the adventures, or don't care about them at all, just grab the Beginner Game that seems most interesting and save the rest of your money for dice/supplements if you decide to get a Core book.

Possibly upgrades? Although it's more down to personal playstyle.

In truth both Imperial or Rebels can be played either way.
For rebels some variety of B-Wing swarm used to be very solid, although it's getting replaced for massed TLT Y-Wing swarms these days.
Imperials obviously have their multitude of TIE Swarm lists.

>>
>>44469493
Yes.

Both are equally important, really. Luckily most upgrades come with ships you want, and are worth having... Unless it's from another faction, but half the fun of this game is how each faction plays differently, and how it takes so little to play more than one faction.

>>44469589
No. Lots of ships, a.k.a. Swarms, are good in their own right. Few, heavily upgraded ships, a.k.a. Aces, also have their merit. For example, Soontir Fel and Vader can be amazing. So can a Tie Fighter swarm led by Howlrunner. 4 B-Wings with Fire Control Systems -or- Advanced Sensors is a powerful list, and so is a souped up Han Solo with Corran Horn.

Basically, there is no "better" way to build ships in general. Just some ships lend themselves to upgrades and expensive, but good pilots (i.e. Interceptors), while other ships lend themselves well to swarms (Tie Fighters, Z-95s). And some ships can be used as either.

>>
>>44469911

>I lament that TFA was extremely lacking in that respect.

I sadly agree. I would have love some more simple scenes. Poe having some more time with Finn for bromance, Rey learning a bit more or empathising with Finn a bit more, some more time with Han, probably feeling how worn out he is on the whole "life" thing...

I did like the scene when Finn sees Poe for the first time after the crash, seeing him alive. I mean, that held a little weight of its own delivered purely by the characters.

>>44469921

A fic? Just read Truce of Bakura, where Luke gets over it and Leia has to get over the fact that Darth Vader's her father. I mean, Luke had a hard enough time dealing with that knowledge, Leia learns on Endor that Luke is her brother and also how Vader is her dad. She needs some time to process things as well.

Pretty much this. I'm actually gay for Poe. And Finn's fun too, but it wasn't until some /swg/ anon's started complaining about Rey that I had the time to reflect on her and ended up deciding that I like her too.

As she stands for me now, episode VIII's going to have to make her backstory especially awful, like a Sheev's secret clone or Kylo Ren's twin sister kinda nonsense, for me to dislike her.
>>

>Pretty much this. I'm actually gay for Poe. And Finn's fun too, but it wasn't until some /swg/ anon's started complaining about Rey that I had the time to reflect on her and ended up deciding that I like her too.

I can accept that she can fight, i can accept that she can fly smallcraft,

but her flying the falcon through the star destroyer was a bit much. Imagine a regular person who can drive a car jumping into a semi truck and just being perfect at driving it through traffic.

That's only two dimensions to worry about.

I can't imagine how hard it would be to accurately fly the falcon through narrow spaces considering you cannot see the left side of the thing and there are no wing mirrors. Only lando or han, with their shitload of experience could do it reasonably.
>>
>>44470057
It wasn't vital, it was just awesome. There wasn't enough ships as it is, and for all the scenes to remove or cut short the TIE battle isn't high on the list.

Nothing more needed to be developed between the two characters though.

>Imagine a regular person who can drive a car jumping into a semi truck and just being perfect at driving it through traffic.

Which would be bad if you were actually a normal person, and not a latent psychic space wizard. Like, I think kind of the point is that you go "Huh, Rey's really good at this", and the movie is supposed to build to kind of an understated conclusion that she's quite powerful. She's the classic talent no training character.

Which will hopefully make some scenes in VIII interesting if Luke takes any cues from his teacher about "unlearn what you have learned" and all that.
>>
>>44470169
Finn likes Poe because:
1) The guy is Resistance, and Finn has realized that means the morally superior faction
2) Poe is a badass who got him out of the First Order alive
3) Poe is a major badass who saved him from the First Order again
4) Poe vouched for him to get into the Resistance

That's much more than Han and Luke had together by Empire.
>>
>>44470057

It was a rather pointless action scene. They could have instead used their combined abilities to figure out a more subtle escape. It'd be a difficult rewrite considering the setup, but action for the sake of action is excessive. It was kind of annoying how a single fighter could cause problems for a ship that large.

>>44470141

Yeah, Han and the freighter seemed a bit much. I would have loved axing the squiddly chase scene, though, despite how satisfying it was watching the thing get pulled apart across the Falcon's cockpit.

>>44470185

>MIDI-CHLORIANS, SON

Though I'm starting to think she has experience, it's just locked away in her memory. Kylo manages to pull the memory of the island in the sea from her head, info that is highly pertinent to the final scene where she sees Luke, so she hasn't been pulled out of a vacuum. If she has an affiliation with Luke, maybe she has one with Han and the Falcon as well?

Honestly, it's actually a trait a lot of protagonists in anime have - they have loads of raw power which gets them through early conflicts but when they meet powerful enemies who are also well trained, then you have your typical "we must go train" plot point.

No, i'm referring to "I used to bullseye womp rats in my t-16 back home, they're not larger than a few meters"

She doesn't have Force training, so her using the Jedi mind trick was bullshit, but she's established as a badass mechanic, knows how to fly well enough that getting in a superior ship gives her advantages over TIE Fighters (fuck your shields, they're still just eyeballs), and knows how to scrap in a fight using melee weapons.

But yeah, the mind trick was complete bullshit. I'd have shrugged it off if Han had been telling her a story about Luke doing something like that while at the bar, but that came outta nowhere. Probably from a cut scene, but that shit won't fly until the director's cut.

That is only implied. The force wasn't really well defined at that point. Entering a zen state and "let go, luke" was always what i imagined.

Training is largely just a pointless thing. One Punch Man deconstructs that. In all anime, the protagonist is going to win no matter what.

Training just lets them write more filler material.
>>
>>44470419

Book has him entering a daze, barely even remembering making the shot. He, at that point, managed to become an extension of the Force, but hadn't learned to truly master it.

Except you know, Lando flew through the the radius of the Death Star twice, and had to maneuver through narrow passages far longer than Rey ever did. Not to mention he raced a goddamned explosion the second time, all while acting as a general for the Rebel Fleet, and leader of the fighter squadrons.

Plus he's a smooth pimp, suave debonaire, was quickly forgiven for backstabbing his friend(s), govenor of a goddamned mining city, and probably banged Solo's girlfriend at some point during his carbonite freeze. I'm not saying Lando's a Mary Sue, but Lando's a Mary Sue.

Yeah, I think honestly there's some cut or ancillary stuff which should have been in it. Like, she's obviously familiar with legends, and supposedly Max Von Sydow was like, part of a "Church of the Force" group who talks about the Jedi and Force and stuff, and Kylo did just give her a demonstration of Force Mind Shit 101.

It's like you have all the pieces, but the movie doesn't fit them together. It's like not showing your work in maths.

Turns out having to focus on day-to-day survival gives you a strong will to succeed.

Meanwhile Luke had a defeatist attitude about pulling his xwing out of a swamp, and thus couldn't do it.

Also I don't think there's any information on how exactly a mind trick works, if it's just plant an idea and they go with it, the step by step thing doesn't work.
>>
>>44470504

Depends on the context.

In X-Wing, regular ones look like a good, solid hit, though a little pricey. Not pricey for what they can do, but just a little pricey as a torp.

Advanced necessitate you getting up close and personal, but if you've got a Focus Token or abilities that affect Focus results in some way, it's damned powerful. Also even pricier.

If you are willing to spend those points and support investing in a powerful hit like that, you can probably make out well with it, but over reliance seems like a bad idea.

Maybe that's not how a mind trick works, since Kylo Ren reaches into their mind to make them say what he needs to know, but that's what Qui Gon, Obi Wan, Luke and every other fucking Jedi does.

The first time I saw it I had this Like/Dislike thing with Poe. He just didn't seem "right".
Watching it the second time I definitely liked him. He's a wise-ass and all but when you look at what he says it really seems like he knows he's a natural but also knows how to do things the hard way. When he was flying with Finn as well as in group he took what ever limited input the others gave him and also gave them a sort of "this is how you do it" explanation for things. He struck me (and this is with what we were given) as a good Teacher as well as walking the walk.

In X-Wing, meh. They require some setup, and hit for only 4 dice (admittedly with a boost). And they cost 4pts. There are better options now, like Ion Torpedoes if you want to pay that much, or Plasma Torpedoes.

In Epic games however? Absolutely! A good volley of Torps from a trio of X-Wings can do some serious hurt to a huge ship! B-Wing groups are rightfully feared by huge ships, because they can pack a fuck-ton of firepower and/or strip you of energy through mass Ion.

Let's get a break from all the TFA talk.
Tell us about your best/coolest/most fun Star Wars character you played. System doesn't matter as long as it's a flavor of Star Wars.

Mine's probably pic related from a old WEG d6 Star Wars game. A Chadra-Fan mechanic that loved to tinker with absolutely everything and could act as a second-rate slicer if needed. I found it very refreshing to not play a combat character as all i played before Squeak were DnD heavy hitters. Sure the first sessions were a bit touch-and-go (and when i think back severely cringeworthy) but I feel like playing Squeak made me rethink my approach to RP and combat, plus made me think outside the box when push came to shove.

My favorite moment playing him was when i jury-rigged up a slapdash remote control system for three TIE fighters we had "acquired" and later used them as a official escort detail to get the hell out of dodge from a full Imperial planetary lockdown.

Because they're naive and thought it was no longer a threat after the concordance, believing that they could control what remained of the Imperial high command after they got rekt at Jakku.

The First Order is the military junta that reorganized the empires forces under younger, more ambitious leaders. The New Republic didn't want another war so soon, so it assumed the rumors of a "Starkiller base" to be fear-mongering by war hawks who wanted to wipe out the empire, Leia being one of these old guard.

I have played in unfortunately few SW games, but I'd have to say that my favorite would be Old Republic era, was a wookiee crime lord.

Game opened with him escaping from an assassination attempt from a rival, along the way picked up some last-minute passengers in the form of some jedi and a batshit crazy (male) twilek gunslinger. I don't fully recall exactly what they were doing, but they needed a ship, I had a ship, so I became the party taxi, more or less. I was also worryingly close to being the party's moral compass, which is an interesting thing when you're, you know, a crime lord.

Trying to dredge up some memories of what exactly was going on, I think the first thing I was involved in was heading to Ilum so the jedi could get crystals and make their first lightsabers and stuff. From there, it's mostly a blur, I recall one of the jedi got framed for murdering their wife (was a conehead, they're apparently allowed to shag), then whoops everyone's master is actually a dark jedi, which resulted in two of them following their masters while the super paladin jedi joined me and the twilek in getting the fuck out of there.

There was also a rather memorable event during the surprise darkside where me and the twilek are holding out against some sith troopers, and he's all "don't tell [paladin jedi] about this" before he turns and force lightnings the fuck out of the troopers, letting us get to our ship. Apparently the cheeky bugger had been getting force training on the sly from a holocron we had.

The Empire assraped the galaxy, the Empire lostHARD at Jakku and was forced into the far Outer Rim.
The Republic was more concerned with rebuilding and ensuring they could never be corrupted from within again.

Leia's warnings were treated as conspiracy theories from a shellshocked queen of a dead world and extinct people.

But Rey will inevitably fall to the Dark Side in Episode VIII, anon. The whole first act of TFA emphasized how she stayed living on that horrible desert planet despite her suffering just in the hope that her parents would come back and she could see them again.

When Luke reveals that he's her father, and left her there so he could go off and meditate on the edge of inhabited space, she's going to go nuts. And since she's already strong with the force and not properly trained, she'll be wearing a black cape and killing innocents in no time at all.

>People are shitting on TFW, not realizing that Rey's memories of her Jedi training are awakened when she touches Obi-wan's light saber.
> Not realizing that she had her mind wiped at 5 with "you want to stay on Jakku and wait for your family"
>Not realizing Han is protecting her from the Star Wars
>Ben actualizes her power probing her mind, which is how she can brute force his power and a mind trick
>She barely wins a fight with a apprentice who has been shot with a nearly lethal attack
>Movie establishes the force is stronger in her than in Ben, who runs to the dark side to achieve greater power
Rey's past is a bit murky but she got some unknown amount of training before being left on Jakku, but it was removed from her memory. She is at a level of "can hold her own" with piloting, when Finn is the one who miraculously has gunner skills with no training taking out anyone.

Honest question here. Is shooting things with a turret that hard? With a targeting computer, it should be a pretty easy thing. And maybe Finn's player invested in Gunnery at chargen.

As has been pointed out repeatedly, not that you give a shit because muh mary sue:

If anything, Rey has more demonstrated martial capability than Ren. She's been shown to know what she's doing in a fight, while all Ren's been shown to do with his saber is stab noncombatants and trash inanimate objects. Luke never got any formal saber training to be able to pass on, and who the fuck knows what's up with snoke, but he doesn't really look like a glowbat waver to be able to offer any training.

From there, Ren was gutshot prior to the fight, took a hit from Finn, and was winning until he pushed Rey to draw on the force with his offer of training.

Alright /swg/ I got a question, Want to run a EoE game and my planned plot involves the players stealing a experimental Imperial ship to replace there own. Only problem is I can't really think of a good Imperial ship that fits the bill. I was planning on making one from scratch, but I figured I'll ask here if anyone can think of an Imperial ship that could service.
>>
>>44467033
Funny thing is, Luke is the ultimate Mary Sue. Only gets light Jedi training as an adult, still ends up beating two highly experienced Sith. Can speak multiple languages even though he grew up on a farm and has only interacted with moisture. Can somehow magically fly an X-Wing. Is expert robot fixer. Is able to feel no emotions at all when his effective parents are burnt to the bone in front of him. Is Aryan as fuck. Just casually grappling hooks across bottomless pits while dodging lasers with a teenage princess swooning in his arms - and even better for a farmboy, it's his sister.

His only flaw is... caring too much.

Reading comprehension. I never said they didn't, but any time one Force user pushes another it just turns into a push/pull fest and the lightsaber fighting usually either dissolves and gives way to frantic scrambling, or they realise after a couple seconds that no-one's getting anywhere, stop that shit and reactivate their lightsabers.

Would you trust one of these to beat Kylo?
>>
>>44472352
After about 18 years of fending for themselves and fighting other scavengers, yes. More than I'd trust a whiny farmboy to beat 2 Sith with about 160 years of experience between them after a few years of carrying around a Smurf on his back in a swamp.
>>
>>44472352
With how hard Kylo hesitated to kill a grown man, he probably wouldn't even have the stones to go for a youngling, so any of them, as long as they've been given a proper saber instead of a training one.
>>
would a jedi/sith be able to bend the path of a blaster shot or can they only deflect it with their sabers?
also can a jedi/sith bend the blade of a lightsaber?
>>
>>44472352
I know you have a hate boner for Rey, but it's also obvious she's a powerful fucking Force user that's the descendant of someone important. So yes, that + Luke's personal special snowflake training would make her already a reasonable Force user after she'd gotten her buried memories back. It's fucking Star Wars you grognard, crazier shit has happened. Remember the whole saga with Obi Wan fucking perfectly emulating a bounty hunter? Why aren't you busy bitching about how out of character that was, how Gary Stu Obi Wan is even without his force powers and how that technology is never used again?
>>
>>44472396
>More than I'd trust a whiny farmboy to beat 2 Sith with about 160 years of experience
You keep saying that, but Luke doesn't really defeat either of them. He beats Vader in a lightsaber duel, but Vader was going easy on him because he really didn't want to kill his son just to keep Sheev happy.

I hope for your sake you're trolling and you aren't stupid enough to believe the shit you post.
>>
>>44472552
>Why aren't you busy bitching about how out of character that was, how Gary Stu Obi Wan is even without his force powers and how that technology is never used again?
Because no one bothers to white knight Ben.
>>
>>44472574
Well then by that logic, Rey doesn't defeat Ben. She just fights back. Luke, however, goes into a room with two Sith and comes out as the only survivor despite spending 95% of his life fixing farming implements and having his dinner made for him by his aunty.
>>

Damn, this would make the new trilogy GOAT. After her fall she's taken as an apprentice by Snoke, who dismiss Ren as the tryhard trash he is. Abandoned, he discovers the truth about his grandfather's change of heart, breaks down and realize his mistake, going on a quest to find redemption and return to the path of light.

Extra points if the Jedi he finds to guide him is Kyle Katarn

The troopers were constantly shuttling back and forth between Jakku and the star destroyer, as opposed to the sandtroopers who I assumed had been stationed on tattooine for some time. All the troopers were dirty after the initial jakku battle, but they immediately go and polish up before they need to submit their "blaster" to cpt. Phasma for "inspection".

Even Finn was cleaned up by the time he saved poe.
