Im assuming crimes, especially murder, would be punished pretty severely since the world quickly gets filled up.

Assuming OP means disease isn't an issue, every teenager on earth will be pregnant multiple times before they reach adulthood - no danger to the immortal baby and the parents.

If you are truly immortal then the scope of certain crimes changes drastically. Assault becomes a minor crime while anything with long lasting mental effects becomes drastically worse.

Also since people can't die some extremely cruel measures would end up being taken for permanent punishments for those that would normally be executed.
