Rising Tensions needs a mechanical buff - three of the conflicted kingdoms offer a free 20% bonus for allying, which can be boosted further with Empowerment.

This could be balanced by making Seille less wonky - as it stands, Rising Tensions lets you conquer it with 10% power. If you have Sabotage, then it's completely Overwhelm fodder.

I like all three but prefer to keep them seperate. Fantasy combined with modern or sci-fi is accpetable to me though.
I prefer open-ended but it's not a huge deal for me.
Companions are good, daughters are good, waifus are sometimes good, straight-up harems are substantially less good.
I remain ambivalent on the subject of description. Don't go extreme in either way I guess?

Mixes of settings mostly or multiple setting options. Open ended cyoa, rather than limited ones. Companions aren't that much of a factor for me, though harems are fun. Lastly short and straight to the point, I don't like reading through a great deal of text for each option, I like more information but after a point it just makes the cyoa take too much time.

Genre isn't that important to me, but I'd personally like to see anything other than fantasy because it's getting really, really stale. I'm the type that likes to daydream a bit about the choices in cyoas, so definitely open-ended world, though I'd like to see someone attempt a StarDust or Battlemage scale cyoa with completely open ended choices, i.e. no numbers, just pure plot, which is why I got hyped for Paris/Ea/MomoAnon

With a great deal of help from a certain anon, the skill system has been greatly revamped.

I have added customizable racial abilities to the races, and I have a feeling there will have to be some fine tuning.

Some racial stats have been changed slightly.

Changed the lore, made each faction's background cast themselves in a sympathetic light, or at least others in a less positive light.

RT is one of the most popular blessings because it gives a lot of power. The only downside is that its specific in its terms. Seille was intended to be an easy kingdom because its small, unstable, doesn't have a lot of resources and in serious debt. Bluntly put, it's the africa of kingdom crusher and it needs improvement or you're just stuck with a burden.

1) It's not made clear about whether the demesne/intrigue costs use both resources or just one. Using just one seems balanced but I think it needs clarifying.

I removed Empowerment since nobody took it. And allying in itself means you need to use diplomacy and share, fluffwise at least. That is a big downside.

Rising Tensions was a blessing to counter-act the benefit of allying. And it's really popular, for 2 reasons: it's mechanically strong and the kingdoms you benefit from are top tier in popular (Roza, Nocturne, Seille) mostly.

Ultimately lore and a good structure make a CYOA rememberable and stick around for more than not at all. Though companions and other things have their places as well. Besides being a big CYOA on it's own The Isles has what I think the most interesting companion written for any CYOA. That being The Twisted. Kingdom crusher for being generally well written and Battle Mage for being one of the more interesting altogether. Harem Master while controversial is still rememberable for waifufaggotry.

Though I'm a sucker for a good low fantasy setting. To me space settings follow the three paths of mecha, bugs, or old alien guff and it makes them all terribly shit.

First things first; I move some of my remaining force from Nocturne to Ecclesia and Roza to further secure my holdings.

Then, I keep a healthy respect for the leaders of Eden and Arcania (Eden especially), if possible playing their assorted plots against each other.

Finally, I do my best, using my resources to actually be a good and fair (if uncompromising) ruler - it gets me good PR that way.

And I chose the kingdoms for the conflict, Eden's alluded-to ancient knowledge that might become a problem, and Arcania's miscellaneous magic trinkets.

I don't know if multiple religions/cults exist, but if they do, maybe you could write about them and put them in separate categories. Maybe each could be similar to a real world religion and off the rockers in one or two details? Is there a paladin/light/good guy faction of humans we can join? Do the others have their own communities and civilizations or are they faceless beings?

He's the writer of the web serials, Worm, Pact, and Twig. Worm's done, and is an amazing read. Pact is supposed to be good, too, but I haven't read any of it. I haven't heard anything on Twig, but I suspect it's good, too, especially if it's to the same standards as the other two.

They're all set in different worlds: Worm is in an Earth-like deterministic setting, whereas Pact is set in a more standard high fantasy setting. Wildbow's a pretty good writer.
