Bullying is for the weak willed. The ones who don't bully but instead give kindness to others freely are the true enlightened ones.
>>
Let's say I want to go with the theme of ultimate Pirate gang with just one rule in my Jumpchain:
>always Drop-In, for everyone in the party, always
where would I start? obviously after Pokemon.
>>
>>44329938
>Regalia
You just HAD to remind me, didn't you?

>>44330010
Picture of THAT guy doesn't help your case.

>>44330025
Well, the obvious option would be a marine jump - One Piece, Uncharted Waters, Carribean or CATastrophe if you stretch a bit.
>>
>>44330043
>Picture of THAT guy doesn't help your case.
Hey, he's the only buddha I have in my picture gallery. Didn't have much choice.
>>
>>44330043
Alright, time to figure out what Pokemon a pirate would start with that isn't a fucking flying type.
>>
>>44330128
Sharpedo.
>>
>>44330128
Sharpedo.
>>
>>44330128
sharkpedo, Carrrvana, mudkip with an eye patch.

>>44330128
Squirtle, obviously.

okay, let me rephrase that:
a pokemon that goes with a pirate and is LAND BASED

>>44330075
How is that the only Buddha you have on hand, you need best Buddha.
>>
>>44330128
Pachirisu. I had one once, when I went through one of the pokeymans games. Fucking vicious little bastard rapidly became my star player because it mugged the fuck out of everyone. I came through a helluva lot of fights with that thing carrying a rare candy it didn't start with.
>>
>>44330194
Squirtle, I say!
>>
Alright, here's a daily reminder.

Daily reminder that cloning someone who's power or such is all through hard work instead of natural will just give you their body BEFORE training unless their fuckin DNA or such changed because of it or metaphysical bullshit
>>
>>44330194
Infernape/Ambipom/some other monkey, Chatot, Blastoise(READY THE CANNONS), Meowth, Octillary, Probopass(compass), Gallade.

Now for the sillies. ARRRseus, GARRRchomp, TyranitARRR, MagmortARRR, DunspARRRce and WARRRtortle.

They spend most of their time on a ship/on islands

And you know what they do on those ships? Pillage other ships.
You know what Pokémon can tear through ships easily?

Motha. Fuckin. Sharpedo.
>>
>>44330194
I don't know the pokedex by heart, but I'd take a cat of some sort on my pirate ship, because FUCK RATS IN MY FUCKING FOOD
>>
>>44330290
Alright, here's a question.

HOw the fuck does taking DNA of a person who trained hard to get a six pack make it so that the clone has a sixpack too, unless you change the DNA or development of body through bullshit?
>>
Is there a jump with computers that can be mentally controlled by anyone with a mind? Like technopathy but the computer is the thing letting you do it.

Got that covered.
>>
>>44330347
I'm fairly certain that most settings where people can become ridiculously powerful through training follow Lamarkian rules of evolution.
>>
>>44330351
Light of Terra had a big computer thing you sit in to control the entire ship single handed, it's in the Enginseer track.

>>44330246
Don't forget that Pachirisu basically won the PWC 2014. Granted it was mostly because all the other viable Follow Me pokemon were either banned or so overused that everyone had hard counters for them, but still, that's got to count for something?
>>
>>44330367
ONLY IF YOU GOT SPECIAL GENETICS OR IT DEFINITELY WORKS THAT WAY, AS IN IT WAS SHOWN IN GAME OR ANIME THAT IT WORKS THAT WAY.

Most settings that do evil dopplenganger have it be a twin or made through magic or such
>>
>>44330416
I'm just making a joke on how it's usually portrayed man, that's all. Chill. Most settings that do that aren't written by people with enough understanding of genetics to even say "oh, yeah, it's Lamarkian".
>>
>>44330395
Would things like that be able to be found in the regular 40k jump or is it a one off super rare archeotech computer interface?

I went with a different companion but I'm willing to put in the hard work finding and reverse engineering it if I can do so.

>A mongoose
>Cat

Meowth is the best cat.
>>
>>44330457
That's a mongoose.
>>
>>44330482
did they ever explain why Meowth was able to talk like a human? like, WHY he was able to learn it, I know he taught himself.
>>
So am I the only guy who doesn't plan to pod Saitama or take him in any way?

I plan to take Boros. Save him. Most of his stuff seemed to be more natural than training, and so I could just take his soul and clone his body. Alternatively, help him regenerate and just store his body in cold storage or something, since without a mind or soul it doesn't count as living so it should fit in warehouse.

I liked Boros, he had nice design in anime and manga, he is essentially... like most Jumpers. in terms of goals and personality and what he did on the way(conquering universe)
>>
>>44330452
Pretty sure all the upgrades are one offs.
>>
>>44330504
I think they did in the older episodes like around kanto to johto I think.

>>44330492
>Zangoose, the Cat Ferret Pokémon. Zangoose usually walks on all fours, but stands on its hind legs when angry. It's very quick and can easily dodge most enemy attacks.
>Cat Ferret
>>44330517
they explained how he learned (he learned like a human child, by listening and repeating the sounds until they started making sense), but not why he was even capable of learning
>>
>>44330504
He just tried real hard.

He Saitama'd his way into learning langnuage. He kept trying constantly, day and night. He kept running on two legs and I forgot what else.
>>
>>44330513
Nuts. That's what I was afraid of. Any other computers you can just walk up to and control with your mind? There have to be some out there.
>>
>>44330504
He did it to impress a lady meowth. She had a humanfetish, so he forced himself to talk upright and talk like a human. However she rejected him for a Persian.
>>
>>44330532
He seemed to be smarter than average pokemon, or at least seemed to listen to instincts less. And it felt as if he just... well, he wanted to impress a girl and he wasn't the strongest, so he tried to do the other thing he could.

Also, I remember how he totally kicked that Persian's ass to win that Meowth girl's heart but she still went to the Persian. fuck that girl, Meowth won fair and square.

It probably was cause he was a Persian so he was stronger, so natural selection. Fuckin animals. Meowth is smarter
>>
>>44330565
Ah yes. Meowsy.

I think he listened to the radio or something like that.
>>
>>44330573
It's implied that all Pokemon are intelligent. Meowth translates for them, and often they say pretty long winded speeches.
>>
>>44330504
More or less Meowth is way more intelligent than average and had the immense willpower to just teach himself how to talk to try and win the heart of a lady meowth. It sorta backfired and they thought he was a weirdo, so he booked it out of town and joined Team Rocket.

He's seriously smart, most of the machines the trio of them use are largely built and maintained by Meowth.

He's just abnormally super intelligent/strong willed.
>>
I probably should have just said outright I'm looking for a pokemon that I can cuddle and still have them be useful on a pirate ship
>>
>>44330667
Gardevoir.
>>
Question for the Ninjanon involving Light Bringer.

So we know that Luxin GRAFTS (replacing body parts with Luxin) are bad mojo, but what about tattoos? Would those cause any intense amount of insanity or are we safe there?

>>44330694
but Gardevoir wouldn't be very easy to cuddle with, she's got that thing sticking out of her chest/back and isn't very soft looking.
>>
>>44330507
Boros is great. Saitama still has his work cut out for him, The Earth was predicted to be in trouble, it could mean someone else, way stronger.
>>
>>44330722
Only if you assume it wouldn't be soft looking.

And why can't you give em alt forms?

It's called the embrace pokemon, how could it be anything but perfect for cuddling?

what are the Noble Phantasms you chose for yourselves jumpers ? Im have some but I cant think of my EX without ripping someone off

>>44330911
It's not truly unique, but mine were a pair of claws that worked better the larger and more "monstrous" my opponent looked.

>tfw no NP to turn people into dragons
>>
>>44330946
im pretty sure that be at least an A rank to turn people into nasuverse dragons
>>
>>44330911
Not for myself but my servant does have a pair of original noble phantasms.

noble phantasm:marvelous manuscripts A rank Anti-Army Noble Phantasm, da Vinci
was the greatest mind of his time and still considered one of the most intelligent and
inventive people to ever live, and he most certainly turned his intellect towards
destruction, with his noble phantasm he brings forth the designs of all his war machines
into reality and sets them against his opponent -100 SP
Noble phantasm: complete comprehension B rank Anti-Unit (Self) Noble Phantasm da Vinci sought understanding above all else, and indeed he pushed the boundaries of human understanding So far that the limit of human understanding was his
comprehension, with this da Vinci gains understanding equal to the limits of human
understanding of everything he sees, -200 SP

"Abyssus Draconis: Thou Shalt a Serpent Become (汝は竜なり, Nanji wa Ryū Nari?)
An Anti-Army Noble Phantasm that transfigures a given target into a draconian being. Though said function appears to be associated with the Servant's cross-emblazoned surcoat, strictly speaking, the phenomenon is implemented through the Servant's unshakeable faith; the surcoat is merely a focus, and cannot independently activate as a Noble Phantasm.[2]"
>>
>>44331207
>An Anti-Army Noble Phantasm that transfigures a given target into a draconian being
And that's a bad thing?
>>
>>44331174
If you want my advice you're better off getting a bunch of The ridiculously broken c rank noble phantasms like rule breaker,The Queen's Glass game And God hand. hell Maybe make a version of God hand your EX. It's Probably the best defensive buff you're ever going to get.
>>
>>44331243
>Copying canon NPs
So sad to see people being so boring.
>>
>>44331243
what does the queens glass game do ?>>44331207
>>44331243
ahh thanks
>>
>>44331230
See, the thing is, that, plus another NP that allowed him to deal extra damage against Dragons, along with a NP that made him almost invincible, made him impossible to kill.
>>
Regarding Gilgamesh's Incan plane that was supposed to fly at speed of thought... Didn't Lancelot's Knight of the Honor enhance an existing plane good enough that it could outmanuever it and shoot it down?

That speed of thought is fuckin bullshit and hearsay and Gilgamesh's over exaggerating the size of his dick... and by that I mean the power and speed of the thing.
>>
>>44331297
http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/The_Queen's_Glass_Game

Basically if you're losing a fight you can start the fight over again until you Either run out of mana or Are the winner.
>>
>>44331316
If it's the speed of nerve impulses, it's really not that fast man. Like, we have jets today that could outpace it
>>
>>44331276
I mean I really like the knight of honour but I don't think I could make one like that but with my own personal spin on it or could I ?
>>
>>44331207
So are you stuck as a dragon after fighting this guy or something?
>>
>>44331230
When the newly-christened dragon is fighting someone whose entire legend is based on dunking dragons, and has a second Noble Phantasm whose primary feature is murdering dragons super good?

>>44331276
To be fair, he's suggesting it to someone who's having issues filling out his build and wants some trump cards to protect himself in a jump above his power level.
>>
>>44331276
The effects are the same,And I'm actually Pretty bad with Fate stuff,So I Needed a very solid benchmark,But I did give them entirely new writeups.
>>
>>44331333
so im getting my ass kicked and I can reset to a certain point so its at either the beginning of the fight and or attack ?
>>
>>44331276
I turned my reality marble, Paleblood Moon, into a Noble Phantasm. Normally it just gives better stats and hunter abilities but when I summon it Yharnam pops up along with its denizens.

Also I turn into Moon Presence and bumrush whoever it is with a shit ton of beasts and lasers.
>>
>>44331344
Maybe, who knows. All I know is that that Noble Phantasm is awesome holy fuck
>>
>>44331297
>>44331352
>>44331386
Yeah and God hand would be awesome for that, it no sells Literally anything whatsoever below its level,That's including things that would be more powerful but are not conceptual attacks, And gives you an extra life if you die.
>>
>>44330911
EX- rank Anti-Unit (Self) armor that reduces any external damage to a small fraction of its original value. Its true power comes when it is manifested on someone other than the Servant, it grants the wearer great power equal to a Servant with extremely high parameters.

So, gimmicky NP that I'm not entirely too sure deserves EX rank, but at least it fits the theme and the "myth" I created in my last two jumps.
>>
>>44331352
and I appreciate it all I have is aura a mudkip lawyer skills and effective supplexing manuvers
>>
>>44331336
It's actually well below the speed of sound. Nerve impulses top out around 120 m/s, speed of sound at sea level is 343 m/s. That Vimana is slow.
>>
>>44331316
Wasn't Gil saying it, it was the narration. http://pastebin.com/ecT7w9Fe

Also, it instantaneously breaks through the sound barrier. http://pastebin.com/FzJPgLjj
>>
>>44331391

Wait, you can turn Reality marble into a noble phantasm? How does it improve it in other cases?

And how much better stats and hunter abilities did it give as a marble, before being a Noble Phantasm?
>>
>>44331391
I like that a lot that's pretty cool but isn't turning into the moon presence a bit much isn't that thing absolutely ludicris
>>
>>44331479
So what you're saying is that it's actually much faster than the speed of thought. Neat.
>>
>>44331504

>>44330227

>>
>>44331493
He might have eaten the umbilical cords at some point and turned it into an altform somehow. And it's really not that strong by itself. It's such a big deal in the game because it rules over the Nightmare.
>>
>>44331492
The stats thing came from the NP boost, the hunter abilities pretty much let me pull of Art of Quickening and the stuff Gehrman and his apprentice did. In order to not be too crazy I assume it's a rank up along with urges to murderize beasts.

>>44331493
The downsides of that RM is that I'm insane because I nommed the umbilical cords. I fanwank using the RM as the only time I can use my Old One altform because of personal preference really.
>>
>>44331541

So I'm sorta new to Fate. The Knight of Honor says it has maximum number of people 30. But... it affects objects and weapons. What exactly does that limit mean?

And what would happen if that ability was made into EX?

Also, holy fuck, Lancelot was a beast when you consider how his mad enhancement and Arondight upped his stats both.
>>
>>44331276
To be fair, some of them are really damn useful. If one fits what you want, why re-invent the wheel?
>>
>>44331641

>>44331276

>>
>>44331473
it's actually intended to fly at the speed of whatever Gilgamesh wants it to be. In Nasuverse the speed of sound is different.
>>
>>44331689
Faith the Vampire Slayer, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
>>
>>44331659
Berserkers have the worst base stats
That has not stopped them wrecking face.
>>
>>44331659
I think it would have a larger area of effect or you could take over other noble phantasms themselves till A++ rank
>>
>>44331424
>>44331556
Heracles' God Hand is great for single-strike attacks, but it's failing is sustained damage. Something like a FLEIJA bomb or a Burst Missile will deplete the 9 "lives" it gives you.

It takes a while for the lives to regenerate too, so any powerful strike that hits more than 9 times WILL kill you.

Oh! And really powerful attacks can deplete multiple lives. One hit from a NP Sword took 3 or 4 lives out in one go.
>>
>>44331724
Berserkers would probably be better off as sabers all things considered. Heracles wouldn't be insane and can use his NPs while Lancelot wouldn't be stuck raging after seiba.
>>
>>44331659
Assumedly it reflects the number of objects it can affect at one time. Either that or Nasu fucked up again.

It'd gain a boost in how it affects objects. not really too big a boost since it's already got two +s and EX is from A rank. You might make things C or C+ rank instead of Ds.
>>
>>44331762
I don't think Herc could be a Saber, the guy never used a sword. He'd be at his best as an Archer. He could be Lancer, but Archers have better stats.
>>
>>44331659
I believe it would have a stronger and larger area of effect at EX rank think like making an entire battleship carrier your noble phantasm or possibly subverting other np's completely for rank E to A+
>>
>>44331758
No with the first part,Those aren't conceptual
attacks are they Now.
>>44331776
Hey Can I get a ruling on this Please?

Also Val limited It to one life

and that sword was fucking Excalibur, so probably not a good benchmark.
>>
>>44331812
Get a ruling on what?
>>
>>44331812
God hand was limited to 1 life ?
>>
>>44331826
Is it very strong defense or " ignore Any attack not of equal or higher level"?
>>
>>44331850
It's ignore any attack equal or higher level for Noble Phantasms. Against everything else it's just a very good defense, hence why Rin could take a life from him with just a handful of magically charged gemstones exploding in his face.
>>
>>44331870
Okay I was under the impression it was ignore anything not a noble phantasm as well as ignore anything of a equal or higher level,And yes even I thought that was broken.
>>
>>44331826
what would Casa Di Logistilla be like at EX rank?
>>
>>44331870
Equal or lower level, my mistake.
>>
>>44332005
Maybe boost the Magic Resistance rank it gives to a higher level? Even at EX it's not going to be dispelling True Magic, so I don't really see how much it can improve. Blame Nasu for that.
>>
>>44331840
I think that you can only purchase a version with one life, because Jumpchain. Valeria could confirm that though.
>>
>>44332039
I mean it could dispel reality marbles at C rank what would the magic resistance be like if I had say D rank it would jump to B rank?
>>
>>44332099
Correct. Not giving out a dozen regenerating extra lives. The one you get from Godhand is only once per jump too.

>>44332105
EX Magic Resistance I suppose.
>>
>>44331790
>>44331776

...Oh god.

Knight of the Honor while piloting a Mecha or any of the Gurren Lagann mechs.

I assume it wouldn't work with LoT, too big. But the idea is amazing.

Shit is wack, yo.

So how does turning a Reality Marble into Noble Phantasm improve it? Assuming I don't do it through Knights of the Round but properly turning it into one.
>>
>>44332127
if I take it can I change the lead like visage it gives me I could just look normal right ?
>>
>>44332180
Oh, come on. The best part about it is how spooky it makes you look.
>>
>>44332168
Mecha like a Gundam or the Gurren Lagann are about the size limit you'll get with Knight of Honour at EX rank.

It's the same as stacking another purchase of a reality marble, since that's all you're doing. The reality marble offered by the jump is A++ level, so use that as a guide for how much it'd improve it.

>>44332180
If you want a canon Noble Phantasm, you get every part of it, including the nasty bits.

>>44332309

>>
>>44332241
Are you allowed to buy a reality marble with the servant supplement rather than the jump itself?
>>
>>44332352
C rank or so I'd say. It's only a tough chain to people without any Divinity and even those with Divinity can break it with enough raw physical strength, though that'd take Heracles with Mad Enhancement levels of strength too so it's still got a pretty high limit.

>>44332376
As much as I'd rather otherwise, there's not really any other option unless you're solely sticking to what's shown in canon. I sincerely wish I didn't have to try to balance Nasu's fucked up mess of a system, but he's inconsistent and rarely gives the full story, so I have no choice.

>>44332413
It'd be gone after one use like in canon I believe. Not really sure why you're so set on getting it instead of just making something of the same rank as Vasavi Shakti.

Yes. You can buy both in the same build too if you have the points to spare.

It's like stacking a strength perk. Increases the effect you get overall. Course, by how much depends on whether you run with straight linear stacking or diminishing returns.
>>
>>44332637
You get one marble and then buff it's power, I think. You don't get three different marbles because they are based on you, so they're all the same thing.
>>
>>44332671
Yes, I know. Not sure what you're current complaint is, considering all I've told you is that Godhand works like it does in canon, barring the extra lives thing to fit with jumpchain's usual treatment of that thing.

>>
>>44332790
Pistol.
>>
>>44332713
The wiki is of the nasuverse, which can barely keep itself straight. The wiki often contradicts itself or relies on quotes from Nasu, who has shown to many times be a contradictory bastard. You're best bet is either asking someone familiar with the parts of the series that apply or just reading it yourself. The wiki can be helpful, but it's often out of date, especially towards non translated stuff, and can be outright incorrect at times.

Unless you think Rin, an ordinary (If skilled) modern human magus, is capable of firing blasts equal to an A+ Noble Phantasm (Like Balmung and just a step below Excalibur itself) then the defense must apply only to Noble Phantasms and not to non-Np attacks such as bombs or magic. It'd certainly still be a great defence against them, but it won't conceptually no sell that sort of thing.

How much bullshit can I pull off wit three marbles? Would it THEN be possible to scale up some of my weaker abilities? Or maybe utilize several signature abilities at once instead of switching? Or Being empowered, super tengen toppa gurren lagann style?

Or maybe actually summoning all of these people for one action each. Taking it further past just borrowing abilities and borrowing THE- wait. That's a thing already, one guy had his army...

While obviously for Jumpchain there really should be exceptions for big enough booms, if simply because of all the settings that don't have conceptual attacks but do have planet-busters+, wasn't the charge Rin used for that a huge part of the magical energy she'd been stockpiling in gems for most of her life at that point? Nothing. Jack the Ripper is just as "strong" as Francis Drake, who is stronger than Gilgamesh, but definitely weaker than Okita Souji. Stats don't mean shit in Grand Order. If anything, the last chapter suggests that Servants with a "directive" are always stronger than those who don't. Francis Drake had a "dream" that she lived for, and hence she was stronger. If you tried to reenact the Iskander/Gilgamesh battle under Grand Order terms, Iskander wins 9/10 times.

The new system hard locks servants of a class against another, so Lancers will rape Archers no matter what in a power triangle, etc. etc. This is canon, and acknowledged by Servants in game.

The running joke is that the 6 Class Fafnir is actually one of the strongest creatures in existence, and people are still waiting for Ruler Fafnir to show up. The Demons themselves are hybrids of multiple classes due to their inherent abilities. Grand Order is basically Fate: Grand Wack

I guess you could probably scale up a few abilities you have. The bigger they have to scale the less number of powers you can effect I guess. You could probably get a few more signature abilities too. Not sure what you mean by the STTGL fusion thing but I'm leaning towards no from the sound of it. Metavore is good for survival, especially a pirate based survival. Not to mention there are perks to make dirt look good, which evercleansed would interrupt.

On the other hand, have you ever not slept for three days and realized you forgot to brush your teeth because you're so used to doing it when you wake up and go to bed? Imagine that with a No Need To Sleep perk.

Bear in mind that you get Bodymod after Pokemon. That is, in your case, after you've been running around for 10 years getting a lot of excercise being a "pirate", starting from a fairly early age at that. Strength 1 and Endurance 2 are quite likely a downgrade and obsolete, respectively.

Apparently even though they are on different scales that you can hurt Herc with an A rank normal attack (with strength), An A rank magic attack like Caster had or an A rank noble phantasm.... because if it just went by one scale that would be too easy and make too much sense
>>
>>44335240
but I'm going to be a pirate captain/thief, not a utility body.
how's this statblock in that case?
Strength 1, Endurance 4, Speed 4, Dexterity 4, Appeal 1, Shape 0, Sense 0
>>
So I've rolled the third grail wars and I'm fairly early in jump who are the servants you'd suggest pitting against in the war ? I don't want to make it easy but I'm not suicidal either
>>
>>44335254
You can keep anything you want from your base form, IIRC.

>>44335256
Hence the recommendation to ditch the Strength/Endurance ranks and put them in something more useful. High Sense ranks are great, for instance, and Winged can have utility in early jumps if you don't have an easy source of flight (or for "lost powers, keep bodymod" drawbacks). Genderswap can be surprisingly useful too, since it explicitly mentions gender-specific perk effects swapping, depending on whether you consider standard shapeshifting perks to allow perk effect swapping/overwrite the swap from Genderswap.
>>
>>44335332
Like said, it's not how I'd go with it.

When I approach bodymod I look at it like this: what can I get here that I can't train or purchase elsewhere.

You can train strength, endurance, speed, and dexterity. You can't train yourself to see in multiple spectrums or hear crazy frequencies. Same thing goes for metavore and evercleansed.

Granted, everyone has their own method for choosing perks and jumping, but scarcity is always something to keep in mind. If it's a one of a kind option, might not be a bad idea to pick it up.

Now, all that aside your build works for what you want to do. As stated, I don't think its the most economical use of bodymod and the points therein, but you gotta jump your chain.
>>
>>44335382
From what I remember last time I asked Val about the third war, for the most part you decide the Servants, barring three exceptions. The first is the Edelfelt Sister's Servants, they summon a Dual Saber team meaning they get Arturia and one other Saber Servant, Unfair I know, but that's Ore Scales for you. The second is the Einzbern's Berserker, which is Angra Mainyu. You need to make the Tohsaka and Matou families each have a master in the one too. Aside from that it's all OC stuff.
>>
>>44335468
Wait artoria gets summoned in this war I thought it was just the 4th and 5th ? And I replaced berserker

-Year 22 DLC 3: Something red, thick, and one-eyed on my mind
Worlds Visited: Burnscour [Sisters of Battle, Human Guard - Coriolanus Vestra] (+400), Grace [Chimmy, Lex, Falco, Kroot - Magos Vathek] (+400), Undred Undred Teeth (+400) [Noble, Ko'El, Magnus, Gotsu, Tau - The Burning Princess]
Foes: Magos Vathek, The Burning Princess, Coriolanus Vestra
Psychic Powers: Psychic Awakening (-100), Veteran of the Psychic Wars [Biomancy](-300), Psychic Supremacy (-500)
Ship Upgrades: Pharmacia (-100), Gravity Sails (-200)
Reward: Hexagrammatic Wards against Hostile Magic

This was getting to be the worst shower I'd ever taken. There was no water, I was dressed, my mind was undergoing a cessation of existence while I desperately tried to claw my eyes out, only to find that it didn't help if I couldn't locate my eyes.

A blindfold came down over my head, shielding my mind from the worst of the shower. There was relief, at first. They needed me sane or with eyeballs. I wasn't sure either was going to be useful.
>"Perhaps rather than shielding you from the more overwhelming effects of my home, it simply conceals the distractions and allows you to see things as they truly are?"
>I'll take your word for it, Mr. Red.
I try my hardest not to care where we are, but I can't help but notice the magic everywhere. The sky is a terrific color, so I look there instead of at Magnus. He could wipe me out with a thought, so there wasn't much point in caring if he wiped me out at all. It'd either happen or it wouldn't.
>"Hmm. I had expected you to be..."
He looked me over. My whiskers twitched.
>"...taller. No matter. Welcome to my realm, mortal. You will be of some use to me."
He takes the opportunity to tell me a story to which I only half-listen. Another treasure hunt. Some perilous monsters to face. Wolves are scum. I don't get a choice in the matter. There will be prizes.

Nothing new. My life was a scavenger hunt from which there can be no escape.

When I arrived late to the Council meeting, many were upset with me. I lived in the same building, so it was to be expected. When Magnus arrived shortly after, the assembled Councilors were silenced. Except for Chimmy, who had to be manually silenced. I will admit a bit of joy at seeing him so easily taken down. None of them knew who the 20 foot, bright red cyclops brimming with warp energy was, but I doubt they'd be less afraid if they had. The meeting, initially a discussion on how to finally deal with the few remaining Imperial Guard now that the Tarellians were taken off-world by the Tau, was changed to "Make the giant red man go away", with the solution being "give him what he wants".

There were three planets to investigate, and time was limited. It was decided that Magnus would coordinate three teams using his immeasurable psychic power, offering support where he could. The Sisters would head to Burnscour, where a Rogue Trader had unwittingly acquired one of the cogitators containing some of the information we needed. They would be accompanied by other human troops, pretending to be on a mission for the Imperium, willing to trade a fair bit of currency for the ancient device. Chimmy would lead a team including Lexington as tech support and Falco for scouting, alongside a mix of human and Kroot troops, to Grace. The planet was full of hostile cannibals we were hoping to buy off with food from the mushroom mines, and maybe rescue. The location of the final target was deep in Ork territory, the 'Undred 'Undred Teeth expanse. I would go with Gotsu and Ko'el for support. We'd bring as many Tau warriors as we could. We'd arrange for some Tarellian, Kroot, and Ork mercenaries as well.

Magnus would let us know where to set down, and lead our forces in a futile battle against the Orks.

Note that it's a single marble with a particularly strong effect, not three different marbles. To put it in rough equivalences you might have an UBW that's got a wider purview or far better manufacturing than the base version, but you can't slap on Depletion Garden into it as well.
>>
>>44336380
There's a short list of things to get /jc/ talking about something consistently. Nasuverse's claim to fame is that since the setting itself is bullshit that hates it's own rules, everything has to be approved by the Jumpmakers. Which gets people talking about the weird related aspects, like how to beat the unstoppable monsters in the setting.

>>44336413
Worm and Light of Terra also have nigh-unstoppable monsters and weird rules.

Basically, those three are the ones that make a jumper go "Oh shit" and demand more thought and attention to solving things than the rest.
>>
>>44336476
What hype? It won't be made into a jump for another year, and most people can't even read the moonrunes to figure out the lore for their life. Even the free translators working on it are slowing/stopping.
>>
>>44330911
The one I came up with during my Adventurer build was The Opened Way. It's the spear which I used as my primary weapon throughout the Jump, and it gained the power to break through any obstacle. Barriers, walls, armor, bone, even partying weapons... Only A-Ranked or better defenses won't be destroyed instantly, and even they'll be at a penalty.

I guess technically it's just a fancy version of Gáe Buidhe, but I liked my spin on it.

>>44336491

>>
>>44336519
With all the discussion done on the three, if somebody just made a pastebin of all the information, most of the recurring questions wouldn't even happen. We've hashed out these three jumps so much that in reality they demand less thought than some obscure jump where the hazards haven't been discussed or remain unclear.

>>
>>44336696
You should do that, then. It won't help for the stuff requiring Jumpmaker approval, like NPs and the extent of RMs, and somebody did make a basic worm FAQ.

I'd honestly still have people discussing jumps than the shitstorms, even if it's conversations I've read a thousand times.

The trip would severely weaken our forces for over a month, cost massive amounts of resources, slow progress on the Light of Terra, leave me tied to a Daemon Prince, and probably drag my fledgling planet into the path of a WAAAGH! I would be tempted to leave Magnus behind on Tusk, were I confident he wouldn't just kill us all with sorcery the second I took any action toward it.
>"I would."
I sighed. We'd loaded up over the course of a week. The Litany of Litany's Litany being my favored vessel, I had dibs. It reminded me of times when I thought I'd never have to deal with psykers and brainwashing space commies. I thought back to the Sisters of Battle. Any time I probed their minds with my telepathy, their love for the greater good was so obviously implanted I was offended. I'd removed it several times. It came back like a cancer, the temporary remission leaving them listless and lost. Had the Sisters had anything other than faith to guide them? Had they any life in them before the Emperor? I'd eventually saw fit to leave their minds alone. They could at least be useful, even if they couldn't be themselves. Magnus smirked.
>"Have you really not figured it out? In over ten years of dealing with these xenos?"
>Figured what out, oh Daemon Prince of Tzeentch?
He didn't look like he cared about the sarcasm.
>"I have the answer you seek, and I shall reward it to you. If you are alive when I claim the wealth of Krystallian and do not seek to hamper my path."
Well, that was bad news.

I was uncertain, at this point, how badly Jumpchan had fucked me by leaving me in this universe. I was certain that it had been years since I last thought of her. It was a small victory over her, somehow. Spending so long without her really mattering to me. It probably only occurred to me now because Magnus was intent on using me in a similar way. Taking me to new worlds filled with new enemies, empowering me as a reward for my efforts. I sighed.

Head to Metal Gear and complete the Motherbase scenario. Just be sure to never dive into the water yourself.

Alternatively, buy the "miniaturization book" from RWBY and use what you learn there to be able to micro-ize your ships for easy storage. Just remember that what you miniaturize still retains it's full mass.

Or, get some shrinking tech/magic/magitec and just zap your vessels smaller. Putting them in bottles is, of course, optional.

Where I was tired, Gotsu was full of energy. The trip would take a little over a week, but it didn't seem to matter to her. She cleaned her guns, asked questions of everyone she encountered, flirted with the crew. The Tau had reverse-engineered some chemical bath Captain Grigobretz used to survive his time trapped in the captain's seat, and my companions and I had first dibs. She was young and vibrant and had long since gone through menopause. Species seemed irrelevant to her, though that might be because she was a Digimon trapped in human form. Gotsu would dance with a Kroot as soon as a Human, and I'd more than once heard her complain about not getting much further than dancing.

Ko'el, for his part, was hard to find. He'd been amongst the first of his people to try a Tau variant for the rejuvenating chemicals, and they overshot the mark a little. He was now about as physically old as when I'd first met him, half a Tau-lifetime ago. He'd mentioned something about a Knife Ceremony before this little adventure, and something about the cutting of flesh. I'd turned it down very quickly after hearing that, and he seemed quite upset about it. The Shas'O spent the trip working closely with some Earth Caste on his battlesuit. I asked one of the Fire Caste on-board what that was about, and she explained that it translated to something along the lines of a group battle-marriage.

Attempts to set the two of them up were getting nowhere.

Magnus spent his time in meditation, ignoring most of the goings on. He communicated instructions across the vast void of space as easily as breathing, and things were not going well on Burnscour. Rituals to appease forces beyond my understanding and re-binding the skeins of fate were common interruptions. Also, when Magnus and the Staff of Karloth Vorlais were within forty feet of each other, it would start floating toward him, and he'd knock it back toward me. The stick was little more than a backscratcher to the giant.

Getting to 'Undred 'Undred Teeth wasn't all that much of a challenge, surprisingly. Magnus had been planning this from the Warp for at least 20 years, and had his servants in the Materium pay mercenaries to clear a path to Tusk. They mostly drew fire, but he felt the need to report some minor victories. Pride in his strategies, maybe?

The landing wasn't half as easy. I'd seen half a dozen landing craft from the various mercenary armies shot out of the sky by Orks in crude fighter-crafts kept aloft more by their own imaginations than aerodynamics. Our defensive fighters took their aim and bits of metal sailed through the sky around us. Magnus and my team were separated by a few miles, and the location of the cogitator was a couple dozen miles in the other direction. I sat in the seat of a Light Recce Vehicle found onboard the Light of Terra. The Dust Rats themselves had restored it to working order, at my request. The plan for the ground forces was similar to the plan for arriving. Clear the path using a distraction and let Magnus guide us to the cogitator's hiding place. The craft landing nearly knocked over Shas'O Ko'el's Battlesuit.

It was less than a second after the doors open that I noticed it. The pillar of flame rising high into the air, right where Magnus was directing us to go. The powerful psychic emanations that surrounded those flames. I used my own telepathy to ask Magnus what was going on. A powerful psyker was wreaking havoc on the world, in search of the same treasures we were, and she'd found the cogitator already. The current mission was to retrieve it from her. Fuck.

He also informed me that the other missions were similarly affected. Magnus had wanted to wait a little longer to retrieve the cogitators, but his master had decided to speed up the timetable by giving him competition. Double fuck. Magnus assured me that my companions were currently fine, and that if I failed he would not be able to keep it that way.

The ground we strode across to reach "The Burning Princess" was scorched black, and I had to use binoculars to even see fungal life. Ko'el's Battlesuit rolled steadily along behind the LRV as we approached, I drove while Gotsu manned the guns.
>"I have decided on my human name."
I looked back at her, more annoyed than curious.
>"I want 'Roberta' to be written on my tombstone"
>You're not going to die. We're going to kill a witch and steal her hand-me-down computer.
>"I'm going to die eventually. I might live to see 200, but that's what's going on my tombstone."
>Why?
>"You have to have a name on a to-"
>No, why Roberta?
>"Because it shortens to Boba and we're kick-ass space bounty hunters now."
I mulled that over in my head for a few minutes before Shas'O Ko'el informed us that his scanners had picked something up. A slightly cooler area existed slightly off center of the swirling pillar of flames ahead of us. Those same flames had blocked us from noticing a trukk full of orks approaching from the opposite direction. It charged into the flames, with the loud orkish guns blasting away at it. They were ash before they knew it.

I pointed the Staff at the pillar, and it receded slightly. I ordered Shas'O to fire into the slightly colder spot, and his railgun blew a small hole through the flames. I saw her, for a second, and she saw me in turn. I could swear that I saw her laughing before the hole closed up. The whole of the flame-pillar moved toward us, lashing out where the staff wasn't pointing. I turned the LRV around and we made a break for it. It was a snap decision on my part not to return to the landing craft, but head toward the battle Magnus was raging with the Orks. Maybe Magnus could help, or maybe a soldier might get through and hit her. Roberta fired randomly through the flames with the multilaser on the vehicle's back. It failed for the same reason the Ork assault failed, but she might get lucky where they hadn't.

I decided to look for the video of things, and it looks like dying.

The Catalyst basically says Shepard will die in the process, but that their thoughts and memories would take control.

Meanwhile King of The Reapers Shepard basically says that human Shepard died for it to be born.

>KoR Shepard - "Through his death, I was created. Through my birth, his thoughts are freed. They guide me now, give me reason, direction."

They also have a tendency to refer to human Shepard as a separate person, or at least refuses to use terms that imply they were human Shepard beyond 'person I was'.

For example the vey next line is

> Kor Shepard - "Just as he gave direction to the ones who followed him, the ones who helped him achieve his purpose."

Although technically Shepard is already a cyborg zombie before the control ending.

Still the evidence suggests it's probably dying. Although if it isn't you probably won't have time to take everything with you (even if you can find a way to store it).

Meanwhile if you can your probably the kind of late game jumper that could just get copy of the Reaper data, and then make your own.

I get the feeling that this question got answered several times already but, imported companions from stasis pods need the stasis pod after you spent CP to import them?
>>
>>44338943
Yes.
>>
>>44338943
Depends on your run. Some people say that after an import they're officially a Companion and thus no longer need the Pod, others disagree, both sides call each other faggots.

Do what you feel comfortable doing.
>>
>>44338943
Podded companions always need pods. Importing doesn't change that, confirmed by the creator of the whole thing too. If you choose not to, keep it to yourself or you'll get yelled at.
>>
>>44338974
>creator of the whole thing
Oh please, since when have people taken his words into account for anything?
>>
>>44339049
We all know you just post this every time out of some butthurt at something that happened a year ago and the rest of us probably don't remember. It's kinda sad and pathetic and you should really stop.
>>
>>44339080
It's just one of those anons who still has a hateboner over QS trying to keep /jc/ in what he envisioned.

Probably still has a hateboner for Red messing with his Reborn.
>>
>>44339103
I personally am not on your side because I cannot be and also support us having jumps made by other people, because as he said himself, that was outside of what he really wanted. But I will put my feelings and your attempt at factionalism aside to focus on that other anon's post.

He's obviously not someone mad at QS. This guy has been doing this for many, many months, every time any decision by QS comes up. And you would have to be an idiot not to see that he's being extremely sarcastic, and is obviously angry at the thread over some sleight towards his waifu in the past. Instead of letting that go though, they keep bringing it up because they cannot get over anything, no matter how little other people care.

Progress report!

>I just looked into LEGO Dimensions lately and this thing is ridiculous. What in the name of Jump-chan is going on here?
>AoE III Scenario Part 2: Ice is basically done, now to write up Steel from my notes
>Speaking of LEGO, Ninjago update is stalling due to the Elemental Master description table. Should I just ignore the element descriptions for now and do the rest first?
>I hear some folks were confused as to whether or not I was really picking up Eldar jump. To which I respond - a) do you like psychic cat familiars and b) would you like to help? I'm not sure how to price the wargear myself, so ideas on that front (and help with Drawbacks) would be appreciated.

Pic unrelated.

The pillar of fire wasn't fast, by any means. You could tell that the center was moving at little more than human walking speed, no matter how much the outside chased us. If it weren't for the giant signal fire and the fact that we had a planet full of orks to work with, I'd be worried about being unable to lay down a decent rate of fire. None of it seemed to be getting through the flames, however. Or maybe orkish accuracy hadn't changed since my time at Mektown.

Shas'O shot another round from his railgun through the flames, and it opened a new window. A split second view of nothing. A second and third shot went through, pulling the flames out and revealing the small bubble in the pillar that she was hiding in, but not her. I wasn't sure how she wasn't burning the oxygen out of the thing, and it bugged me. Roberta was aiming low but in the end, there was just too much in between to accurately target the Burning Princess.
>"Switch me"
Roberta jumped into the passenger seat and took the wheel. As I awkwardly climbed into the gunner's seat, she shoved the Staff into my hand and started grabbing the Mandrakeskin Cloak from beneath the seat.
>What are you planning?
>"Today's been all about slight of hand, hasn't it?"
>I'm like 90% sure this is real fire.
She threw the Cloak around herself and ordered Shas'O to return to where we'd originally found the Burning Princess. We hadn't made it very far, but it would take her at least fifteen minutes to catch up with him. An ork troop started chasing him, but Roberta jumped into their path and I laid down as much fire as a multilaser could. When they started chasing us, Roberta turned the LRV into the flames. Maybe it was my desperation to live, but when I raised the Staff to ward off the flames, it worked. The psychically fueled flames dissipated around us until we got into the Princess' bubble.
>"DUCK"
Roberta pulled the wheel hard to the right and the whole vehicle flipped.

> I just looked into LEGO Dimensions lately and this thing is ridiculous. What in the name of Jump-chan is going on here?

Only the dead can know peace from this evil.

> now to write up Steel from my notes

10/10, it's okay

> Should I just ignore the element descriptions for now and do the rest first?

Get everything written up that can be, worry about doubling back later. Better to get the bones laid out before you add flesh (b/c skeletons are cool).

> do you like psychic cat familiars

Yes.

> I'm not sure how to price the wargear myself, so ideas on that front (and help with Drawbacks) would be appreciated.

The wargear is pretty difficult, but you'd probably want to divide it among the different paths/professions for discounts. Maybe include some cool non-combat items for the civies.

As for drawbacks, Eldrad's perpetual dickery is suited for jumpers because he is a dick. And maybe one where you have to fight off mon-keigh or Ork suitors who keep falling in love with you.

Small bursts of flame tore through the vehicle as I made myself as small a ball as possible, curled around the Staff out of fear and sheer confusion. Roberta herself disappearing into the shadows that a flipped over LRV creates using the cloak. I continued to hold onto the Staff for dear life, fearing it slipping into the hands of the immensely powerful psychic in front of me while still trying to use it to block the incoming flames. It wasn't even trying to leave. Most of the flames fizzled out, and those that got through were severely weakened. This didn't make any sense at all.

The Tau armor I had on was strong enough to resist most of the damage that came through, and I was close enough to try to shut her down with my telepathy. I reached into her mind as best I could and tried to force her to lower the flames, and it worked. I could feel them as she felt them, and her face turned steely. She wasn't laughing anymore. And then the Staff of Karloth Vorlais started to slip from my hand. That momentary panic was all it took for her to free herself from my power. The flames rose to new heights.

The staff stopped trying to leave my hand. She was just spreading herself too thin. So thin that the staff treated her more like a warpstorm than a person. Unable to focus. Why would she do that? And then I remembered where we were. The strength of the flames was the only thing keeping the orks out.

Roberta popped out from underneath the vehicle and nearly got her face melted for the trouble. She was invisible as soon as she saw the fire coming, and I was grateful for the cold. A hand grabbed mine and began to pull me through the wall of fire that surrounded us. The Staff kept us mere centimeters from destruction as we raced to escape the Witch. There was no air to breathe and I could smell burning hair. We didn't stop running until the flames no longer danced around our feet, and then a little more. Roberta took off the Cloak.

Wait.

So if you train your body up in Pokemon jump, before bodymod, you keep the trained up strength and such of the trained up body for any thing involving drawback where you are stuck with bodymod like LoT?

That is... Huh. But you can buy the captain America like body perk in pokemon trainer jump... So doesn't that fuck this up?
>>
Would Darksiders make a good early-chain jump, maybe 2nd or 3rd?
It seems like the Nephilim perks give a lot of power and survivability right off the bat, especially the capstone, in addition to the background memories which would probably be invaluable since as a rider you'd probably have milllena's worth of experience when the 10 years starts.
>>
>>44339688
>But you can buy the captain America like body perk in pokemon trainer jump
And? That just wouldn't apply. At most you're restricted to peak human, or whatever you bought in Body Mod (particularly in Sense).
>>
>>44339594
She let go of my hand I noticed my arms. My ears are half melted. My tail is nearly gone. I have no hair that isn't melted into the fibers of my armor. And the flames were too hot for me to feel any of it. I go into shock fairly quickly after the adrenaline runs out.

Magnus is in my mind fairly quickly after that.
>"Your friends are smarter than you. Smarter than the witch. They doubled back for the cogitator, knowing it was to big for her to carry alone, while you distracted her. Fortunately for you, Mortal, I feel no shame in rewarding you your prize early. Your healing hands are a form of biomancy, the art of controlling the flesh of the living, and I shall enhance them well enough that you should save yourself. And should you choose, others. The key to the minds of those girls you and the corpse value so highly is in the use of both your psychic powers."

I awoke in the captain's quarters of the Litany, mended but bald. Shas'O Ko'el and Roberta were staring at me as I rose.
>Ko'el, I think we've earned the right to get Tau Married. Get me the knife.
I'm dressed as soon as the ritual is over, new knife marks on our foreheads I quickly force them into scars. I carry the knife in my belt, and swagger to the ship's bridge, forcibly growing hair on the way.

We land on a desolate world not soon after. I'm informed that my companions will be waiting on me when I return, after choosing what I want from the bounty of the Righteous Path. We load gems and gold onto the ship. There are few remaining parts of the ship as well, and we load nearly the whole thing onto the Litany. Some external fins and a pharmacia. I'm almost disappointed. Magnus is soon nowhere to be found amid the piles of treasure. I'm more glad to be rid of him than curious over what he wanted.

I was almost at peace, actually. There's so much familiar about Biomancy. Adjusting the rods and cones of my eyes to see so many cool colors was calming. Especially weird greeny-purples.

Physically there is an off chance, mentally there's no way in hell You'd remain who you were with several millennia of memories as a Nephilim
>>
>>44339817
The Sisters problem became obvious, looking at their minds and bodies as one. The Tau were never very good psychics, and barely showed up in my telepathic scans. They were excellent with technology, though. The implants in the Sororitas brains kept them in check. I had to disconnect them with subtlety, but I found I could do that from across the room. The medical skills I picked up from that Ratskin ritual helped astoundingly. The Sisters of Battle are again left listless and lost for the better part of a year, until they find something to have faith in again.

Unfortunately, it was me.
>>
>>44339742
Considering in the game you play as one of the horsemen of the apocalypse and still have a very real chance of dying, probably a bad idea, even ignoring the philosophical death you'd suffer if you went anything other than drop-in.
>>
>>44339903
>>44339872

Yeah.

When you start jumping, especially with pokemon trainer, and take stuff other than drop in... You kinda have the origin/personality issues. Especially if you as player are young, since you could potentially have less memories than the origin and that personality might be dominant.

It is easier as you keep jumping since when you start having hundred years worth of memories, they usually slam dunk through memories and personality of origin.

Mainly because you don't get em over time but rather all at once
>>
>>44339742
you're going to hit the transformers problem, and to do it that early on, you're likely going to just become somebody rather alien as a result. depending on the memories is the worst part of it all.
>>
>>44339957
Yup.

It would be just as if the nephalim suddenly got like... Two decades more of memories. It is essentially just his personality going "huh. That happened. Neat." You lack the proper presence to make it work
>>
>>44339956
>they usually slam dunk through memories and personality of origin.
Weren't Origin memories and personalities supposed to always be at least as strong as pre-jump ones?
>>
>>44339982
It's only strong in the sense that even if you have hundreds of years of memories, you'll still receive enough awareness that you have an identity in this world you're entering. So for a jumper that's already accumulated hundreds upon thousands of years worth of memories, they still have a sort of "oh, this is who I am here" moment.

But this is the reverse situation, where you're going in, and suddenly it's not so much "this is who I am" but rather "this was who I always was". The hit of that many memories all at once far outweighs whatever memories the jumper has already built up, especially if they're going in at jump 2 or 3.

If the jumper already had a substantial amount of memories to balance that out it might be ok, but this isn't the case here. Presumably, you'd suddenly be flooded with millenia' worth of memories....ones where companions and family doesn't exist since you're Nephilim.
>>
>>44339982
I think so, but even so at the end of the jump you can suppress the origins memories and influence. Considering you were still part you part them for ten years there's probably still some level of contamination, but it'd be a lot more manageable.
>>
>>44339966
>>44339957
doesn't the Pokemon jump say that you're still you regardless of the background you pick though? And everything except the actual information (decision making responses, emotional responses, etc.) disappears after the 10 years, right?
