I've been looking for an easy to pickup and play system that's cyberpunk themed. Shadowrun is fun, but can get a little complicated when people want to do certain things. I've looked into the Cyberpunk 2066(I think) system, but it doesn't really interest me.
I was wondering what you guys like playing. General Cyberpunk system thread, I guess.

I've been getting into the idea of running Interface Zero 2.0 recently. If Savage Worlds is your cup of tea, I'd give it a look, as it has pretty much everything you'd want for a CP campaign.

If you're Swedish, I guess Rotsystem is pretty good in the easy pick up and play regard.

GURPS

Especially GURPS Bioware.

Synergy/Blue Planet v2/Plue Planet Revised.
If you like water.
Sadly, not recommended for stripping out the system for use in other settings due to the lifepath character creation.

>GURPS
Not sure if baiting, but GURPS requires you to read at least the 600 page core book, and possibly additional splatbooks, and pick out rules you think you'll need from enormous unsorted lists.

Fucking this.
Did a Cyberpunk game without IZ, it was incredible. Just use the Sci-Fi companion for 'ware and gear, use the gritty damage rules in the corebook, and you're golden.

Well, read it for content not system. GURPS is an awful system.

>GURPS.
This. every time.
People just keep saying this.
After a while this answer just seems to resemble those "NAT 1 / NAT 20" threads in a strange, perverse way.

All of you are wrong.

It's boring, the mechanics aren't engaging and do not capture the atmosphere as well as they claim. 2020 skates by on being the OG without really being memorable for any other reason.

Cyberpunk has the best name and is actually semi-cool? System doesn't seem to have aged well. Good for its time? But it hasn't been brought up by replies because it's actually mentioned in Op.
I'm not touching Cybergeneration. It's basically young X-men/Generation X but with NANOBOTS.

GURPS is fine at the moment, but... I've seen better, and it's one of those "pick modules/subsystems to use"/modular systems but with a gritty default system.
Setting/Source books are freaking fantastic for inspiration and game tips though.
... I can tell you what systems won't work well, like Eclipse Phase, but I doubt that'll help.

Here's a question: Do you want "pure" Gibson-esque Neuromancer style cyberpunk with cybernetics and stuff, do you want other things mixed in or are you good with any?

...to do jack shit.
