You gotta have a little bit of know-how, but it is quite possible. An acquaintance of mine ran a really successful conversion of The Dancing Hut of Baba Yaga for 5e.

You know what, I never really understood that. To me, the module is the module. The module calls for orcs? I use orcs, stats as needed.

There is no official conversion process. But for the most part I really don't think any is needed.

I mean, it is nice when all the stats are right there in the module, THAC0 to saving throws. But I just never felt it was needed.

I've run a couple of 3e modules now, and would not hesitate to do a 2e module if I saw one I liked. Your biggest challenge is going to be deciding the difficulty of the tests your players make. After that...probably deciding what saving throw to use and what trap effects will be (2e had a bunch of save or die stuff). But it is all stuff you can decide on the fly.

Just have some monster stat lines handy.
