Pathfinder General /pfg/

All martial feats should be folded into class features for the fighter edition

If you are asking for build advice, please mention which third-party books are allowed. If you do not say anything, we will assume DSP/SoP is allowed.

You know, I think I may agree with this post. I'd never thought about it in those terms before, but I think that what you just described is a large part of what I like about d20.

The rules are sufficiently specific that it's not just GM storytime, and I can actually know what I am and am not capable of doing, rather than having to look to the GM to see if my roll of 15 on a d20 is going to be deemed high enough to successfully tie my shoes in the dark.
>>
>>43859490
That's pretty much why I like it too.

The rules are there to establish what you can and can't do. From there, you can know your limits and what you're capable of.
>>
>>43859095
>>43855654
Anon, the tiers for the classes have been discussed at length a long time ago. Before /pfg/ had a repository. It probably appears arbitrary to you because you weren't around here then or ignored it.
>>
>>43859341
Weeb!
>>
>>43858084
>Why are you in light armor as a paladin with Dexterity 10?

Actually, now that I think about it, it's mostly because I don't even really care about AC, with my current number of hit points (21 at level 2), self-healing to the tune of lay on hands 1d6+2, an ally to soak up damage I take with his temporary hit points, and the GM's relatively non-threatening encounters (no monster has had any on-hit riders yet, for instance). Should I ask the GM to dial up the challenge?
>>
>>43859842
Yes.

But also, 1/day Alter Self are pretty solid and +2 Str, +2 Wis, -2 Cha is a solid ability set for pretty much anyone

Seems dumb as hell to gate that behind a feat honestly, but I know a lot of DMs have said they really wouldn't bother to require the feat if someone wanted to play a variant tiefling.
>>
>>43859914
I don't think that the aasimars need to take a feat for their variants so I would say that tieflings don't need to either.
>>
Hey, looking for some advice, if you guys don't mind.

I'm running a campaign for some people (Reign of Winter), and the party makeup currently is a Ratfolk Psychic Detective (basically a Psychic Rogue), Dhampir Cruoromancer (Wizard with blood magic), and... a Paladin. It's the first time this dude is really playing, and he specified that he wants to do combat healing, which is according to various guides I've read mostly worthless. Any tips for making it more viable on a Pally?

Campaign will be starting at level 1. I'm not specifically banning any third party content, unless it's hilariously broken.
>>
>>43859914
>>43860052
Blood of Fiends, which updates and reprints all of these variants, has no mention of a feat at all.

Therefore...
>>
>>43860059
Lots of charisma
>>
>>43860328
I was thinking of recommending him that weird Aasimar variant that gets +4 Charisma (the one you normally have to roll on). There's also an event in the game that happens at the beginning and boosts an attribute score by 2. So he could start with 22 Charisma at character gen, and get that boosted up to 24 by the in-game event.

Point Buy is 20, for the record.
>>
What's everyone's feeling on Reserve feats?
>>
>>43860122
Yeah, Paizo have said that they have removed the feat in light of Aasimar not needing one of their own, so you can just pick a variant at character creation.

Not overpowered (often the opposite) but bad for the game anyway. A surprising number of classes get their main purpose for existing out of effects that are less than or too similar to single Reserve feats being used by a full caster. Classes supposed to appeal to players over already more-powerful full casters solely due to their unlimited resource.

It's okay for classes to be stronger than one another (inevitable even), but totally overshadowing other classes' entire reason for being chosen is when it's a problem.
>>
>>43860637
>>43860662
Yeah, those ones. But, are they okay in PF? I'm considering just including all of them in the house list of extra allowed stuff.

Next question: How would you make equivalents for psionics?

I've allowed them in my games in the past, to no ill effect.
To me the main feat missing in Pathfinder is Craft Contingent Spell, but that's just me. I think a major part of playing a mage is having several ongoing contingent effects.
>>
>>43860811
Well. This is a really cool concept.

Doesn't this basically just amount to giving the party Fast Healing 5, though? I can't imagine healing 5 HP a round, even on the entire party means anything for longer than a few levels.

-Psionic Reverberation-
Pick a 1st-level power. Whenever you manifest that power without any augmentation or metapsionics added, it is automatically augmented as if you put half of your manifester level into it.

Prerequisites: None (you're just a fucking idiot if you don't have that power)

You can take this feat multiple times, each time it applies to a different etc etc

Incredibly underwhelming in practice. The ones for arcane casters don't do much, although the ones for clerics are neat.

They won't break anything. All they do is give a caster a weak all-day slightly better Wizard Crossbow that happens to scale.

hmm, that's actually an interesting way of doing it, but runs into the problem of powers that augment /really/ well, like Euterpe's prophetic song (a 1st level power giving a +1 insight bonus to allies' attacks, that effectively, for every 4 points of augment, increases the insight bonus by 2 and applies the bonus to a new statistic (skills, then damage, then AC, then saves)).

You should also clarify what happens when you wild surge with it (both to pay for the base cost of the power, and to increase the ML of the power).

Pretty much. Everything's available online, free, and legally after all.

If your DM is limiting entire books (which have lots of content) instead of specific options that might be broken or something he doesn't want to deal with, it generally means something is very wrong.

Yeah, from dreamscarred.com I think. I asked a 3rd party dev back in the day what the most beneficial source to buy 3pp content was. He said that buying from a company's main site yields the highest profit, though the d20pfsrd yields the second highest (or the highest for people with no website). He also said Onebookshelf (RPGnow, drivethrurpg) actually takes the largest cut, and Paizo takes the smallest cut after the d20pfsrd. Not sure how true all of this is, but I am pretty sure he was right about buying directly from companies.
>>
>>43861524
>Monk/Kineticist
Why would you fuse the two shittiest classes in the game together? To wrongs don't make a right.
>>
>>43861498
See, that'd be a shame. The Guided Hand feat has a Mythic Upgrade feat of the same name that lets you apply your wisdom to Damage in place of strength.
>>
>>43861207
I don't really know, it's just a vague idea a DM would have to adjudicate.

That power you mentioned is crazy strong though, I'd never seen it before. With (ML-1)/2 augmentation, it would only be about Bard song level powerful, but the uses/day would obviously blow a Bard out of the water.
>>

Canadanon here.

I've been thinking the same thing.

Up til now, I've mostly just banned gunslingers and restricted tiers, but I don't want anything in that book at my table, either.

(I'm also the same anon who is looking at running a "No Paizo Classes" 3.p game, where everyone will have PoW/UP/SoP to choose from, and like, 2 or 3 Paizo classes with a PoW or SoP archetype. *Maybe* also stock alchemist).
>>
>>43861361
I don't think it's unreasonable to set those kinds of rules at a table with the intention of 'keep it simple guys'.
>>
Oh, no, everything I wanted to buy is not on sale. Muh mystic (or even subscription) and wilders ;_;
>>
>>43861592
We've got a redeemed succubus.

And in any case, the Evil subtype specifically states that something with it pings as Evil and responds as Evil, even if they AREN'T evil. Implying that they can have the Evil subtype and not be evil.
>>
>>43861361
>>43861399
So far the only things I see banned are gunslingers and the Eastern options only because it's out of place and doesn't make sense for the setting. I've noticed with all the Occult books Paizo is really trying to make it so Psychic stuff is pretty common in Golarion, so it's becoming less of an excuse of "It doesn't fit the setting"
>>
>>43861606
None of the classes or options are particularly complex.
>>
>>43861606
That's not banning books. Talking to your players and going "let's keep this game relatively simple" is one thing, but outright banning a book is terrible.

The only reason to play this game is the wealth of options available. There are significantly better games for every genre if you're not going to use it.
>>
>>43861513
Is shipping price included in the price lists/do you have a handy guide to know how much it'll cost to import stuff?
>>
>>43861606
In that case, you'd just say "Only basic classes" or "no archetypes", and so on. Book based segregation originates from not everyone having a copy and the difficulty of looking shit up when you did. There are often decent components, even in books that aren't very good.

Now we have google.
>>
>>43861650
there is no content in Mythic Adventures that doesn't interact with the mythic subsystem. not everyone wants to use the mythic subsystem (piece of fucking trash that it is), thus it's fair to just use Mythic Adventures as a shorthand for mythic player options.
>>
>>43861639
I mean... Many eastern options are easy to refluff. A "ninja" is basically just a slightly more supernatural rogue. A "samurai" is a type of swordsman. I personally will disallow certain types of fluff or characters, or work with my players to find something both of us want in the game, but try not to ban mechanics unless it's legitimately broken.

I can get behind banning gunslingers. They're weak, and the PF gun rules are awful. I just have people refluff bows or magic when they use gun characters normally.
>>
>>43861524
I think a Barb/Kineticist would be a good hybrid class. Think about it.

Rage boosts your con, and Barbs have the highest HD.

Gather Power makes you the biggest target for your enemies. This is good for a class who WANTS to be beaten up within an inch of his life to strengthen his own bloodlust.

Basically, Barb/Kineticist Hybrids are Saiyans.
>>
>>43861606
But it's still simple. If you can't make a sheet that shows how your character works and explains things, then this is not the game for you.
>>
>>43861565
Not always true.

Soulknife with Reshape Mind Blade [Unarmed Strike] and Tashalatora (the feat that makes a psionic class's levels count as Monk levels for unarmed damage, flurry and AC bonus) is totally solid and it's a fusion of Soulknife/Monk. In D&D3.5. And also really fucking cool.
>>
>>43861606
Well, many would disagree with you.

A lot of the classes have shit for options if you say "core only".

If you tell me "core only" what you're really telling me is "in my campaign the only classes worth playing are the T1 spellcasters".

I will then proceed to shoehorn cleric, druid, wizard, or sorcerer into my concept, because the GM took away all the nice things from the classes that sorely needed them.
>>
what is the weirdest thing your character is willing to fuck?
>>
>>43859490

I don't get the thing at the end about how optimization is related to PC autonomy, it seems like that came out of nowhere. The point is that a mechanically stronger system makes it easier to know what your character is capable of. A higher success rate does give you greater autonomy in a way, and that's true for any system, but the real question is whether you have a success rate at all, whether the thing you want is doable.

I agree with you both though, light systems are good for a lot of things and I totally get it when people prefer them, but heavy systems make it much easier for the players to surprise the GM, which as a GM I like. I don't want my players to feel like they're in a story that's already been written, or even a story that they are writing, I want them to feel like they are in a world, I want them to be fully in-character and I want them to fully apply their wits towards surviving and accomplishing things.

The occult classes are shit and none of them except maybe the Medium and Spiritualists are good for hyrbid classes.

Monk/Spiritualist
Sorc/Medium (Replace bloodline with a spirit ancestor of the sorc)

I also have a list of hybrids I'm still waiting for:

Druid/Monk (Wildshaper Martial Artist that uses style feats like Tiger and Crane. No animal companion.)

Barb/Alche (No bombs. No poison use. No full access to Infusions. Just Mutagens. Has access to both Rage Powers and Discoveries when under the influence of his rage mutagen. Big Guy.webm)

Gunslinger/Alche (A gunslinger who didn't make a masterwork rifle at 1st level. Instead, he made a custom-made potions, poisons and bombs launcher that can be upgradeable per level.)

Cleric/Magus (A divine caster with spellstrike and spellcombat)

Rogue/Magus (Spellstrike has been changed to only activate during a sneak attack. Can access both magus and rogue talents)

Summoner/Druid (You slap evolution points to your animal companion until it becomes a full-fledged chimera dragon abomination)

Take 3.5 Changelings, give them a +2 on Bluff and Sense Motive, the humans' Skilled trait, and +2 to any stat. Now you've got something that's about the power level of a decent PF race.
>>
>>43862055
Heh, I figured it would vary from people to people.
In my case, I like the actual digital books of every RPG manly because the SRDs are just that, referencial rules. They don't teach you how to play or anything like that.

Not everyone, specially outsiders know what "a rogue" is. Giving them something to correlate, images to aggregate along with the rules seems to easy them out.

The SRDs sites always have that "academic" feel to them, I don't know, hehe.

>>43862160

My first step with new players was always to ask them to describe the fantasy action hero they want to play. Then I think about builds for a while and eventually describe what each build can do and how they're different in broad terms back to the player and ask which sounds cooler or more like the character in their head (ex, "very skilled with (weapon), or, not actually that skilled but good at fighting dirty?"). Then eventually I hand them a character sheet and teach them how to play RPGs.

Regarding UP, it's now irrelevant (for me). I already imported it. But the problem does get in the way of me getting your other stuff.

Problem:
1. The exchange rate is currently terrible.
2. The only way to get your stuff is to import it, and the import distributors charge a lot of money
3. The shipping costs direct from you guys are outrageously high, and if you guys use Fedex/UPS/DHL, They'll ding me with a $20 processing fee to cross the border, too.

Proposed Solutions (seriously, any of the below would be fantastic).
1. Canadian print distribution.
2. Canada-accessible PoD (Amazon or Lulu could work).
3. B&W Printer-friendly PDFs, so I can print and bind (by hand) them damn things myself in B&W, without having to reverse-engineer your PDFs and rip out the page backgrounds to make do it.

They are pretty close. Since he is an adventurer, he's been given a little leeway when it comes to Hellknight duty. His service to the city (Korvosa) has gotten him some attention so he can pretty much do as he wants within the Hellknight code but is excused from daily service. He just needs to check in with her every week for reports and debriefing. He's shot up the ranks as the campaign has gone on, so really he's just a rank or two below her and may be getting his own patrol of Hellknights, so they'll be equal rank then.

Usually they meet at the Hellhouse in the city or at his home with the party, but maybe she might suggest they go on a patrol route (at night) of her choosing together which conveniently ends near a restaurant she's fond of.

I do all digital sheets, myself, but I use hardcopy books all the time.

I store all my sheets on google docs, and when I GM I require my players to do the same.

I have a friend who tried insisting I use a paper sheet. I warned him it was a bad idea, but complied.

After the third time I had to rebuild my character because it was lost or thrown out he stopped demanding I do it in paper. In my experience, that's a good plan. Character romance works best when the player doesn't feel threatened or put on the spot. The scenario you posted puts the player in a "something might happen, but something might not happen" sort of deal, which is less overwhelming.

It's not that strong confident waifus/husbandos aren't a good thing, just that people are already gunshy about romance because of Thatguy stories.

You'd be surprised at how much of the AP is totally salvageable if you have a DM that goes into it aware of what's wrong with the AP.

Switch some pronouns, change a token here and there, maybe throw in some extra creatures for an encounter and voila, you've got something good - great, in fact, since WotR is the AP where you become the biggest baddest heroes out of any of them.

Like redeeming a fiend, it's a unique process each time. Arueshalae can gain the good subtype instead of evil if she becomes fully redeemed by doing enough good stuff.
Ascending to divinity is also different in each case. Lamashtu stole her divine power from whatshisface, that other god, whereas Nocticula's plan seems to be to gain power by murdering a zillion demon lords.

>Soldier with PTSD and a drinking problem ends up hooking up with the bartender girl who helps get him sober. Then he starts learning about the Old Ones and ruins everyone's everything and scares her away. He goes back to the bottle to deal with it.

>Kobold Paladin of Saint Cuthbert dies slaying female black dragon and end up sharing a body. He transfers her soul into a phylactery but she then possesses a halfling slave girl the Paladin freed because the girl wanted to be 'strong' for him. They end up in a weird 'parole officer/obsessive stalker girlfriend' relationship

Unless you're going to redesign and reprint all of the bestiaries and adventures so nothing is ever past L20.

Let's say your character is all in on one specific item, be it your weapon, your shield, your casting catalyst, whatever, you need the item to function in combat, right?
What do you do if you lose it?
What if you get disarmed or captured or something like that?
What kind of backup plans do you guys have for your characters?

The demon will torment people because it's fun.

It will also get bored. Lose interest in what it's doing. Not make many plans to make your life worse.

Devils don't get bored. They don't have the imagination. They'll fuck you over again and again purely to meet a quota and then dispassionately torture you forever.

You could have a demon just killing people and causing lots of collateral damage, but every devil is working towards a spiky boot stomping on a human face, forever. No free will, no creativity. Just painful, boring stasis for every living thing until the end of time.

Tidings from Bossman: Amurrica Edition.

"So, most of our softcover books are available via Amazon.ca - and they're Prime eligible:

The international costs we charge are because we often get screwed over by the costs if we don't... and I haven't been smart enough to figure out how to get Table Rate shipping to work to breakdown low-weight (say, Opened Mind or minis) vs high-weight (say, Ultimate Psionics) to work properly for international shipping.

Ultimate Psionics costs me 19.04 USD actual cost to ship via USPS due to its weight, plus the packaging which tacks on another $1+, plus the drop off time/cost.

So, I have to base the shipping rate on worst case since I haven't figured out how to make it work better (after spending hours trying to figure it out and giving up).

Thanks!"

Are you talking in a design sense or a story sense?
Because there are a million plots you can do with a succubus.
>>
>>43863115
Mostly design, and very slightly story.
I'll admit you can get creative with them, but cute shippy stuff doesn't leave them much wriggle room.
>>
>>43862864

Don't show them a terrible devil.
Show them the terrible ramifications of a devil.
Have a devil ruin their day, foil their plan, cause suffering to people they care about, etc, without ever having met them. Put them in a positions to trace the roots of calamity back to its source and have them constantly discover diabolic involvement.

Then they meet a devil in person. And he's everything they thought he would be, he's merciless but fair, he's predictable, he can be reasoned with. If they cause him any trouble, their lives will be much worse; if they accept his terms and yield to his reasonable compromises, their lives will be much easier.

And if they do that, if they simply act in their own best interests around the devil and live with his terms, make sure that they eventually see how their actions or inactions lead to calamity for others.

That's how it works. I'd rather have a devil in the room with me than a demon, sure, but I'm much, much more scared of a devil in Abu Dabi than I am of a demon in the same place.

I'm gonna level with you, I literally cannot picture Ana naked. I've tried. I have attempted to frame it in my mind and all of my mental images of her have armor.

Comedy aside, though, Aisling & Ana's romantic life was a plot point. Of course I had thoughts about it. Sometimes characters just grab me for it; I've ruminated on Rusty, Goldie, Morgan, & Anka ("Sign of the Bucket"), on Lief the Heretic, Endeca, Deirdre, & Kyria ("Orion's Belt"), and I was gonna keep listing but fuck that.

TL;DR sometimes shit doesn't occur to me.

Golden Lion is a bit too niche, I think.
Like, I can see how fucking good it is, on paper.
But I've played an Initiator for 4 campaigns now, and there really hasn't ever been more than 2 martials in the party, and the highest amount of additional combatants we've had due to NPC aid was like 5 or 6.
I understand what it's meant for, and it still works well when there aren't a lot of people to work with, but I always catch myself thinking "Why'd I keep this one, should've swapped it instead of Scarlet Throne, I'm barely using it" type thoughts.

Fuck changelings.

Mimiquin

Tall, slender, faceless and segmented, mimiquins resemble dress-shop mannequins in their natural forms as they move eerily about.

=Type= Humanoid (Shapechanger)
=Size= Medium
=Speed= 30ft
=Languages= Common

==Copy Shape (Su)==
2 + half its character level times per day, a mimiquin may use this ability to gain an infinite-duration application of Alter Self, including the normal effects such as movement methods, sight methods and +10 to Disguise checks. It reverts to natural form if it ever goes unconscious.

The mimiquin unfortunately retains the relative softness of its natural form underneath, so it does not gain any natural armor from this or meaningfully effective natural attacks. Additionally, the mimiquin cannot use this ability to hide injuries, as even clothes produced this way are actually parts of its body.

It also assigns +2 to one attribute of its choice, and -2 to another attribute of its choice as racial adjustments, decided each time this ability is used, as well as a +3 bonus to Bluff checks. These adjustments end as soon as the form is lost.

==Copy Action (Su)==
Once per day as a standard action, a mimiquin can attempt a Perception check opposed by a DC of 10 + the number of hit dice of a creature it can see whose last action it also saw. That last action of the creature's is now recorded exactly as it was performed in the mimiquin's mind and can be replicated by the mimiquin one time, down to every bonus and even d20 rolls the creature made as part of the action - as long as it has the correct or analogous materials to those used by the original creature on-hand.

This single-use copied action can be saved indefinitely, but copying another action before using the last one will simply replace it.

The thing is that Devils are all about order. In the worst of ways. They're about maddening bureaucracy, hate things that don't go down the way their grandpappy did, and will constantly try to screw you over. That's why Devils make contracts - they hold you to the letter and fuck you around - and why you can't transform into a Devil the way you can a Demon - you gotta die, be cleansed and sentenced, and then whatever's left has to work its way up the ladder. They're basically all lawyers and politicians; soulless monsters unloved by common man.

Demons, on the other hand, are about doing what they want. They don't conform to outside standards: they have their own image of the world, and that's what they act on. If they make a deal with you, they'll live up the spirit and will hunt you down for trying to lawyer your way out. They'll fuck off if you can prove yourself, and will share secrets if you earn them, and will gladly sponsor your ascension into something more than a frail mortal if it seems like its worth their time. They act because they choose to, and that's a hell of a lot easier to sympathize with.

How about that. Some of it is available on Amazon.ca.

You guys have a lot of psionic supplements: What's not in ultimate psionics, that I'd need another product for, aside from the bestiary?

And I wasn't saying you guys are overcharging for shipping. I get that shipping internationally can be a bitch in beaurocracy and fees, even if I am only 30 minutes from the border.

Hence my thought that locally sourced printing or on demand or print-friendly PDFs would make that much easier.

Devils get a warrant, have your puppy put down for public safety reasons, reposes all your stuff and have your house condemned. All through the local authorities, so you never even know who's really behind it.

Devils are every amoral yet illegal injustice ever inflicted on society. They're beyond mortal ideas of being "rich and powerful", they manipulate societies to shackle everyone with their rules, and their rules are misery where fighting back is illegal.

The story is potentially salvageable with enough DM work.

The mechanics are not.
>>
>>43863591
I disagree. The demon is an engine of destruction, it doesn't care about you or anything else except it's immediate satisfaction, usually gained by causing pain or suffering.

The Devil on the other hand is a reasonable fellow. He may be evil, but is he any more evil than those bureaucrats and politicians you mentioned? Their people, but their necessary for society to work. The Devil is necessary, but that doesn't mean he is unkind.

When your down on your luck, the Devil is happy to lend a helping hand. All you have to do is sign on the dotted line and all your problems go away. Then you can focus on getting out of the contract which just needs one or two little favors, harmless really. A lie there, a dishonest deal there, you'll be in the free and clear.

Even when you're succeeding, though, the Devil is happy to serve. You've earned it after all. Your position of power deserves some respect and the Devil just wants to make sure you have everything you need and a friend to watch your back. You can trust him to stick to his word and be loyal, it's what he's made of after all. When everyone is out for themselves you can count on the Devil to be your ally. He'll be with you will the very end and be happy to welcome you to your new home.

Devils aren't Evil, they're Fair. That's what makes them so likable and dangerous.

They are children of the void, and above all else, their purpose is to cause ruin. I don't think Devils are more likable for lying about everything and being dicks, I think Demons are more likable because they're more legitimate and honest. If you like them, it's because you like them, and if you hate them, it's because you hate them. With a Devil, everything it does and every way you interact with it is suspect and insincere.

Revised:
==Copy Action (Su)==
Once per day as a standard action, a mimiquin can attempt a Perception check opposed by a DC of 13 + the number of hit dice of a creature it can see whose last action it also saw. That last action of the creature's is now recorded exactly as it was performed in the mimiquin's mind and can be replicated by the mimiquin one time, down to every bonus and even d20 rolls the creature made as part of the action - as long as it has the correct or analogous materials to those used by the original creature on-hand. >>
>>43863841
I think of that as a more informed view of things. We know that Devils are going to screw you over every chance they get but when it comes to face-to-face interaction with them, a Devil is far more charming and convincing than a skull headed Daemon would be. The Daemon wants to kill you but the Devil has something not only that you need but want and he wants to give it to you. We all know not to take it, but that's because we've all read the books and know there's a hook in that bait. To the average person in the setting, they aren't that well informed.

The Devil is LAWFUL Evil, that's why Thrune is so much on their dick. Asmodeus doesn't teach Evil for it's own sake, it's just the natural order of the universe. That's a tempting thing to people who fear disorder and want a stable life. The average person is more than willing to put up with a little harsh rulership if it guarantees that he'll be safe from war and all those other things that want to harm him and his family.

A man will willingly live under the boot of tyranny because it will make him safe if he follows orders and obeys. Demons and Devils want to kill you but the Devil just wants to be in charge of you, a more insidious form of evil that a lot of people are willing to accept in exchange for what they want.

Again, most people don't know that bit. And as has been described in multiple sources about Devils, many of the people who sign those contracts don't think that will happen to them. They either think they can get out of the contract before that, and a lot of the deals suggest they can, or they are so full of themselves they think they'll end up as a Devil themselves and keep their power in Hell.

No Devil offers a contract with the line 'and go to Hell forever'. You're underestimating a Devil's wordplay and salesmanship. All he has to do is offer them the chance to become a Devil themselves when they die.
Of course, that means they become a Lemure for hundreds of years of torment, but someone didn't read the fine print.

People in the real world are constantly signing their lives away to banks, credit card companies, student loans and scams. Devils are a hundred times more convincing than any of them.

I see it as CE being an alignment that is obviously Evil and destructive. LE masks it's Evil with legitimacy and that make sit more insidious.

And frankly, I know a lot more GM who will let a player be LE in a non-evil game than CE.

CE is pretty much murder monster.

My pdf says 69 pages. 21 NPCs. Each NPC has a statblock for 3 different levels (5, 10, 15).

They all have backgrounds, personalities, a description, and a "as an ally" and "as an enemy" section.

I would take screenshots, but I am heading out and each entry is about 3 pages.

I just had a great idea for a devilish cleric.
He's an elderly farmer who's convinced that shortcuts and laziness are why people fail, and he's determined to become a devil through doing jobs for he'll until he dies.
>Now y'all know why my friends are so powerful? None of you young'uns today know the value of hard work, they think that they'll talk their way to devilhood.

Psionics Augmented: Wilders was me. Offers a pair of archetypes - the Voidheart (a reverse Wilder) & Surging Muse (surging aura get) - three five-level prestige classes to refine elements of the Wilder class, new feats including [Surge] feats that offer alternate uses for wild surge, and new powers with a new kind of augment. These Surge Augments get tacked on for free if you Wild Surge while using the power, giving Wilders an edge with them that other psionicists don't get.

We're intending on back-porting Surge Augments to existing powers, we just haven't had the chance yet.

When you get a subscription you get the in-progress releases and the final PDF. So, for instance, the PoW: E subscription includes Harbinger, Mystic, Zealot, Supplemental, and then finally Path of War: Expanded. Its lets you play with the content as it comes out and gives an overall discount on its acquisition.

wilders: new inverse void-wilder, surging muse (wilder that grants its AC bonus to others instead; better surging aura; instead of surge blast, gets to add Charisma to allies' attacks as force damage), lots of wilder and/or metapsionic feats, a handful of normal psionic feats, a handful of prestige classes for wilders, about a dozen new cool powers.

seventh path: archetypes for the psionic classes (two for psywar) that relate to spirits/ghostness/haunting, a new psion devotion (conduit) to go with the new psionic discipline (athanatism), some prestige class archetypes that work with a bunch of new powers (enough to make up a psionic discipline); a handful of extra powers for most base class power lists.

Monster. Of. Legend.

Not the BEST, but since you're not looking for epic spellcasting, being only level 18 might be fine, let's look at what it can give. Find a monstrous humanoid base race and go to town (fluff as angelic as necessary):

>COST: +7 LA
>+5 to your natural armor
>Change from monstrous humanoid to native outsider
>5th level cleric casting. Useful for a bit of utility I guess (neat if you want to enter into Battle Templar)
>Constant Spell Turning that never goes away. Reflect all targeted spells back to the casters. At level 25, casters and caster monsters are /definitely/ going to be a threat and common enemy.
>+4 to your save DCs. All of them.
>+10 Str, +6 Dex, +10 Con, +2 Int, +2 Wis, +4 Cha

So basically, you're getting a massive bonus to save DCs, stats to help even out the loss of two levels and 5 levels of epic attack bonus, instant entry into Battle Templar (getting you 15th level cleric casting and 18th level initiating), and immunity to all the most dangerous spells.

The last of which is just hilarious I may be playing a monster of legend in one of my games and it's great

>>43865486
>I have no mouth, and I must Perform (Song)
