I THINK I'm gunna be involved in a Shotgun Diaries short campaign, but I'm still not super sure.
I kind of want to run all of the above systems but I'm fairly sure I don't have the right players to make them work. So now I'm wondering if I could possibly make a GURPS-based Warlords Battlecry campaign work. Which is to say, I'm trying to put aside my massive distaste of GURPS and actually read the books and see how well I could adapt it to what I have in mind.

Something dedicated and involved, with a long arc campaign that takes itself seriously. This means that it will be at least a bit gritty, because you things aren't puppy dogs and sunshine in worlds populated by monsters and filled with constant battle.

Silly bullshit that people hardly pay attention to because they're too busy joking around the entire time (when I get the chance to play anything at all).

This. I want to play a serious setting with some drama, but so far I we have been playing very lightly. Which is fine, but after a while it can get tiresome.

When I see posts like this, I can't help but wonder if the games I run would be acceptable to people outside of my play group. There's a lot of drama and gritty survival, but we also poke fun at a lot of stuff.Setting is basically Fallout meets Morrowind with more Lovecraftian elements and a dash of Firefly, but Dieselpunk.
