Well, the villains are sort of zombie-like things that sort of eat individuality, taking other creature's intelligence and leaving them blank slates, using said intelligence to fuel their gestalt hive mind. My original idea was that when they dealt damage to another creature, they lost all their abilities unless the owner paid a marginal cost, but I abandoned that for reasons that I'm not too sure why. Now it's "Whenever a player casts a spell but not on their turn, for every spell cast on that turn after the first, do X" (not worded exactly), but that doesn't feel like it matches flavor wise :<

I kinda like where that first ability is going, since it matches the flavor well. Although I can't really think of an elegant way to do it. You probably want to mark the effect with a counter/counters of some kind.

Well, I'm trying to avoid using counters because I just have a vehement, knee-jerk hatred of them unless I'm using them for a set-wide mechanic, and I'm not, it's just for this one little sliver. I don't feel like using them just for an occasional mechanic on like, 1/5 of 1/5 of the cards on the set.

I think there are a couple things off with the design. One, the effect really isn't colorless. Two, it should probably be a sorcery. The drawback is also kinda fake since you can wait to cast it for when they don't have mana to take advantage of the ability.

Cascade is pretty cool though.

For five mana it's not really powerful though. Like, it's basically just making you skip your turn except that if you're going to win you can choose to give them the card. And you still get your upkeep draw and untap step and combat step.

Counterspell SEALS, now, those are the actual fuckers that just shouldn't exist.

Here's a better attempt. The player doesn't get extra cascade on the "cascade, cascade" part because Cascade happens when cast and therefore before Unintended Results enters the battlefield.

I mean i feel it's good as is, but when I talked to other people about it, they said that it would just be hard to implement in a fun way since you can't target individual creatures.

Would it be mechanically clear to use suspend like this? The long way is so wordy (i.e. "Return target other creature card from your graveyard to your hand and cast it as if it had Suspend 3--0").

If it doesn't have suspend it gains suspend. Don't need the number unless you're casting it
