I have always like Magnus. He is a tragic figur. He fucked everything up by being too clever. Also, Horus was nice and dandy.

Primarchs were a tragic mistake. Despite most of them being "perfect", there were serious problems with their psyche and it was just a matter of time for them to begin manifesting themselves. Since they were essentially godlike beings right from their birth, the process of growing up into adulthood normally through learning from one's mistakes and experience and becoming a balanced human being was practically impossible. This lead to the problem of them being superficially perfect in every way yet being very fragile mentally. if they snapped, they snapped hard and the fall was quick and total. The same goes for normal astartes too since they are turned into supermen in their preteens.

The Khan is my favorite, unlike other primarchs he neither followed blindly nor was he a rebellious man child.
He went to Prospero to find the truth, to get the answers and to hear both sides of the story, and only then did he decide on his course of action.
Tied in second place are Alpharious/Omegon and Angron(mostly because of kharn and the betrayer book)
