It's just that my setting is more aesthetics-based and would be better off as a webcomic, only I cannot draw for shit and by the time I would have learned to draw at a satisfactory level it would have been years and what little spark I have left would be long gone.

Yeah, I'm going to shelve my current nano project and work on a more straightforward story. Doubt I'll hit the full 50k for the month so I'm toning it down to at least a thousand a day to keep things reasonable.

Next year I'll try it again with a ton more prepping. My prepping was fucking insufficient for my concept.

I'm doing five short books over NaNoWriMo, fuck the rules. I write what I want. Gonna be between 25,000 to 40,000 words written, roughly.

Have spent the last few days developing the internal politics of my world. So, honestly, pretty distracted considering I'm making a wargame. Not much progress.

If anyone's curious, I'm making a fast-paced dieselpunk-inspired wargame about trench warfare, notable features being simultaneous turns and "Infantry Death Simulator 2016"

Yeah I have a paper plus a lot of programming homework due next week. Thanksgiving break is the week after next but I'm going to see some old friends for most of it. I try this shit every year but November already has too much happening

Yes actually. I have too much work on my plate and periods where I can just sit and bang out eight thousand words are rare as hell.

That seems to be the biggest issue with most people. Setting it in December during Finals or the holidays would be easier for most people since they can bang stuff out during breaks in study sessions.

November is a tough month and it's worse than ever this year. Barely finding the time to write, some days I am too tired between class and work and my mind needs to cool down before I overheat and slam a hammer into the wall. Only have 8k.
