Word Bearers are cool as shit cuz if World Eaters are STR stat, Death Guard are CON stat, Thousand Sons are WIS/INT, Slaanesh are DEX, then Word Bearers are CHA. They are the evilest legion just because of the fact that their charisma stat allows them to recruit all manner of cultists/heretics/daemons and manipulate the shit out of everyone else.

Thousand Sons are cool cuz of them HH novels, egyptian theme (TS>>>Necrons), Tzeentch best Chaos god if we had to pick one, and Magnus did nothing wrong. And of course cuz magic>>>>everything else.

Blood Gorgons was pretty nice, but they didn't feel too Chaos-y to me. Could have been a particularly barbaric Space Marine chapter.

My favorite piece of his was that short story with the Genestealers on the not!China planet. The inquisitor was really fun and felt more emotional in that one, and we got plenty of the badass sniper and the lady he should have brought into his retinue I mean come on. In the actual book with the inquisitor, it felt...Victorian. Annoyingly so. The planets were colonial Africa or Iraq, the characters were male witty boxers or ladies in dresses...and the story itself felt like kind of a let down, especially once you learn who the big bad used to be. Honestly his worst work in my opinion.

The Word Bearers as a result have gotten not only the most shit done out of any Chaos Legion, but any Space Marine group period.

Because they have the coolest story/aesthetic. Also, probably the only two traitor legions that would have been a major credit to the Imperium in the long run had they not fallen. Horus was just Emps 2.0 (shit update desu), Fulgrim was too self-obsessed to be useful, Lorgar was literally fanatically retarded, Angron was incapable of functioning outside of wartime, and Mort/Kurze/Pert were so edgy they probably would have an hero'd with all their issues.

Pre Heresy Lorgar was the weakest of Primarchs, but in turn was also the most diplomatic. Post Heresy Lorgar fucked shit up.
