Show us your weird/impractical/janky bullshit, with an emphasis on edh best format.
Give us the kind of shit a shady wizard taught you in an alley.
Like this + islands.
I need to update this actually, rings of brighthearth let you do it without double sticking, and astral cornucopia's a better "artifact mana goes here" than chalice.
>>38766839
>>38766839
I seem to have a small collection of this bullshit
>>38766975
don't you need an extra mana for each iteration?
>>38766993
I don't know
>>38766993
Darksteel Citadel Untaps when due to the Scorpion.
>>38767058
yes but it costs one mana to make the citadel a dude and one mana to fire the catapult
>>38767024
If you can figure out what this actually does, props to you.
>>38767084
>>38767103
last one from me.
>>38766975
what the fuck is this doing
>>38767024
why does everyone want to cast sequential shahrazads? i fucking hate this shit, it's stupid. the combo is shahrazad + burning wish to make inception, or shahrazad + nefarious lich + donate + golden wish to make it so You are already dead.
>>38767117
tap darksteel citadel, activate Kharn's ability. it becomes a 0/0 creature, which kills it. Salvaging station will untap, which allows you to tap it to return darksteel citadel to the battlefield. activate acorn catapult and hit yourself with a squirrel or hit your opponent for one. You can then kill darksteel citadel, use dross scorpion to untap acorn catapult, and repeat the cycle endlessly. Then the combo falls apart because acorn catapult requires a mana, and you probably had to tap darksteel citadel to do that, so what now?
>>38767773
It seems someone needs a Disciple of the Vault
>>38767773
What if you put in an ashnod's altar? Or would state based effects kill it before you could sac it?
>>38767865
the citadel pops off before you can sac it. altar would work if you have more life than your opponent as you could shoot yourself in the face to amass enough squirrels and mana to then shoot your opponent for just as much.
>>38767773
Just replace acorn catapult with cosi ravager and deal infinite damage.
And instead of using Karn, Silver Golem use March of the Machines.
>>38767084
No one ever figures out what this does.
>>38768740
gets the deck how you want it using scry?
>>38768809
*legally* stacks your deck
You have to have an exact number of iterations and proof that it will end in the state you want. Hence the filename.
>>38768860
Explain? Surely you don't know the number of iterations so you'll just get disqualified for slow play like 4 horsemen
>>38769392
But I do. n(n-1)+m times. M is the iterations it takes for me to get to the first card. N is the number of cards in my deck.
Every scry only moves one card to the bottom, hold the card that's next in order till your each the top of the stacked cards, then scry them down 1, 2, ....k, new card, and then search for the next one.
>>38766839
I once had an EDH deck based on this combo. With the promo full-art Melek. It was shitty as fuck, but looking back, taking it apart was a big mistake.
I don't have an image but here's a quick way to end one on one games.
Atarka is your commander
Combine her with Xenagos god of revels, swing and win.
Why would you use Xen?
>Screaming Fury only costs 2R and gives haste
>Stonewood Invocation only costs 3G, has split second, AND gives shroud
>Phytoburst only costs 1G
>Scorchwalker only costs 1RR and is uncounterable
>>38767132
>i am spikyfag i dont know why people do fun stuffffff i just want to winnnnnn
This is how you look like right now, totally retarted.
>>38766940
I don't get it.
>>38774466
Me neither triple dubs bro, nothing makes sense. Not really sure what he is trying to accomplish there, I get more retard the longer I stare at that picture.
Worst thing is that he doesn't even try to explain it, he just assumes everybody does and start spitting shit "hurr durr I should update this"
>>38766956
200 emrakuls would be about $7000.
worth it.
>>38775004
That's your average price for a regular deck that barely wins tourneys.
If you want to win tourneys you need to add $55000 to that sum
something I've never got, is why is this like a big thing to have "combos"? Like, are you ever playing shit that ISN'T comboing with something?
maybe it's because I come from YGO, but it seems to me like Magic fans get so proud that they made three cards work together, but you have to make 40 cards work together on the regular in YGO, idk
>>38775214
Modern Jund.
Anyway, why is this all combo shit I thought this was a tech thread.
>>38775214
It is just the feel of pulling out a combo like this, nothing else. Of course there are combos in decks all over the place, but not as specific as these ones, and less impactful as well.
>>38775214
>Magic fans get so proud that they made three cards work together, but you have to make 40 cards work together on the regular in YGO, idk
When cards work together better then their individual pieces we call that synergy.
When cards work together to win you the game immediate that is a combo.
Now stop confusing synergy with combo.
>>38774466
>>38774807
It took me like a minute, at least fucking try, you guys.
So you have two Isochron Scepters with Twincast imprinted. And 4 mana worth of Everflowing chalices (4 mana in mana rocks in general will work here) You tap for 4 mana, twincast beacon of immortality targeting yourself, then also twincast turnabout (targeting yourself, untapping artifacts). Let turnabout resolve, untap your shit. Tap all the artifacts that just got untapped for mana and then twincast Death Wish and Turnabout. Rinse and repeat for a ton of death wishes and a ton of Beacons of immortality, however you want to do it.
The end result is one of those silly combos that lets you "take your whole collection" and put it in your hand, in this case. At the end of this, presumably you can just float mana to just keep twincasting turnabout and net mana per cycle, get infinite mana, then cast your whole collection. As the dude mentions, something like astral cornucopia is theoretically better for this, since you can get colored mana.
>>38775214
it's just people trying to find obscure/ridiculous combos for fun
>>38772864
Cards I don't own. Well aside from phytoburst and scorchwalker. ut haste is part of it.
Or really whatever you feel like, like Act of Treason.
>>38775593
I think the other two are like 10c each on tcgplayer, mayn.
>>38775663
Oh, I didn't know they existed, then I'll have to drop by my lcs and see if they have them.
Mephidross vampire and Triskellion
>>38772864
>bloodrush
>uncounterable
get rekt
>>38775709
>Epic Proportions
>Explosive Growth
>Ogre's Cleaver
>Thriss, Nantuko Primus
>WIldheart Invoker
Are all also pretty effective in Atarka and like <25c each. Apparently people aren't scrambling to get their mitts on +5/+X shit.
>>38775905
The only downside is that I'm about to scrap the deck to make a Yasova deck, or at least I was...
>>38776105
Hey, that's awesome. I have a Yasova on my desk but I'm a little too Johnny and I can't think of anything really cool to do with it.
Do you have any rad synergies yet?
>>38776224
Sadly no, right now I'm working on getting an idea of what I want to do with it. I might put niv mizzet/curiosity in there though just for funsies.
>>38778274
>*clap clap clap clap* ANOTHER!
>>38778274
That is brilliant
>>38778831
Not really, it is pretty retarted, and you are retarted as well for saying its brilliant.
>>38778881
whoops sorry mr. fun police.
>>38775049
We're not using Zimbabwe dollars.
>>38775214
I play (in competitive scenes) to win. I guess Yugioh players just like to dick around.
>>38779223
Nope, those are american hamgurger dollars, believe it or not.
>>38779341
They like to dick around with each other's dicks amirite? LELELELELEL YGO FANS GETTING BTFO
>>38779355
Name one Legacy deck that costs more than 50,000 fucking dollars to be playable.
you guys almost makes me feel like sharing my awesome secret techniques. Almost.
>>38778274
I think I would go buy someone some drinks if they pulled that off without anybody knowing in advancebut when they start drinking their drinks is the perfect time to put out my 20 cheatyface
>>38780637
How many involve jacking it into an opponents deckbox? That's my only technique. My LGS keeps hiring exorcists.
>>38781013
Jerking off into opponent's deckbox should be banned already, it keeps winning GPs and PTs
>>38781050
It's why Turtenwald drags his draws along the table. He got the ol' sticky semen GL.
Screw it, dump time.
>>38781855
Wait, Sundial bypasses the auto-lose at end of extra turn from FF?
>>38781968
>>38781971
The "lose the game" clause procs during the end step, no end step, no problem.
>>38781968
I ALWAYS THOUGHT PESTERMITE WAS JUST IN SOME CAVE
FUCK I NEVER LOOKED AT THAT CARD CLOSELY.
>>38782015
I just noticed FF's errata. Makes sense, then.
>>38781876
If Decree was an Instant, at least your opponents can't prep against it.
>>38782084
Regarding Modern. You know how Bloom titan gained popularity rather quickly and people finally realized how good the deck was? Do you think there are any sleeper combo decks that's just waiting to go mainstream? I wanna buy into a weird but good combo deck.
>>38782179
doesn't work you mong.
>>38782203
>>38782213
It does during your combat step.
Attack with elder, untap it, tap to untap maze + land, repeat.
>>38782240
Although mana doesn't carry over between phases.
>>38767084
I think...stack a bunch of scry 2, and lets you stack your deck?
>>38782332
I should specify, the Mirror Gallery is an alternative for Pandemonium
>>38782364
>>38782349
>>38782332
>>38782309
>>38782288
>>38782259
Loving the mono-red combos. They're probably the most fun because red has the most trouble tutoring for what it wants.
>>38782451
Just add a sac outlet
>>38782749
Just add sac outlet
>>38782907
I love Stormfront Riders. I've used it to bounce itself and a creature I needed off before a board wipe, or used it to create tokens when I needed them.
Not the most effective card, but I'm a casual pleb.
>>38782661
I don't get this one.
>>38783033
Use Cryptic Gateway.
>>38783048
>>38783044
Opalescence makes Dance of the Many a creature, Dance of the Many targets itself to put a copy of itself into play, repeat for infinite 2/2s with echo.
>>38783050
Thanks.
>>38767084
But what about the mana for the untap effect? I see absolutely no relationship between the mana cost, though I understand the scry element.
>>38767084
Infinite scrying? I mean your deck can be stacked very slowly with it.
>>38782799
>48
Fall of the Human Spirit.

>>38783302
out of 144
>>38783302

>>38766839
real backalley shit is proxing up a cube you fedora wearing faglord.
>>38782587
Have this deck, though a lot of the time I actually don't bother with Dovescape, just fuckbillion counters and card draw with infinite hand size until Guile's swing to win.
