Sorry if this OP isn't very... 'community'-centric.

I was spoilt as far as choices go. They would make a very attractive JAV-style compilation image. There are actually a LOT of good posts in last thread, and I'm really tempted to put Schway's two sluts as leads, but he's already had his demoness making up the entire OP before. Still can't resist though, which is why I put his white elf as part of the logo this time.

There are several graphic designs elements I attempted to utilize in this OP, which relates to the way the catalog mode is viewed, and some other marketing/advertising-centric shit I'm testing out.

Psychonauts one is bloated as fuck. Takes years to load the game. NC is probably best and only needs 4x version.

There are three bits:

1) The first game is where you try to find mods and keep all the mods from breaking each other and destroying your install.

2) The second game is the eternal larger fight against the engine to display what you want displayed when it just wants to show MikuMikuDance.

3) Then instead of taking photos of posed plastic dolls, you can take screenshots of posed shiny CG dolls.

It'd probably be faster to just pose dolls directly, and maybe use your hands for humping motions, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying all those dolls and outfits would be.

TK17, like most executables written for x86 back in the day, is limited to 2gb RAM usaget. The 4gb patch fixes this for 64 bit systems.

Well, screenshots are just a part of the thing, but there's a bit more.

You can edit and create models.

You can use Pose Edit to both make static poses for screenshots and make looping animations or interactive animations to watch or capture in videos.

You can use the Sequencer to glue together poses, camera angles, toys and imported 3D objects, sounds and dialogue to make short film sequences.

You can use Freemode to just pick models and poses to watch or capture, but this mode is a bit random, then there is Quickmode which also allows you to pick models and poses but this one allows for a bit more control. There is an element of minigame in it, the characters will speak using the voice that was set to them on the character creator and react to the poses based on their personality and preferences, not very complex but nice. There is an arousal bar that allows the characters to reach orgasm. Using these modes with First Person POV (and VR if possible) makes for a pretty good sex minigame.

There is also a Story Mode, but I never used it because it doesn't work for Shemales so fuck it.

Mods are cool but quite troublesome to manage and is a constant juggle to make things work without bugging out things or breaking the whole game, you can create your own textures relatively easily and if you know a bit more about modding you can even make your own mods.

What's the max filesize on /t/?

Is there something up with how screenshots are saved?

Only way I can get them to appear in the screenshot folder is by deleting them in the in-game media viewer and then restoring them from the trashcan.

If I don't do it this way then the screenshots folder is empty. Search by file name finds nothing. Once I restore the picture from the trash then it appears in the screenshot folder like it should have been all along.

Anybody help with this? It feels like a really stupid work around.

For me in-game screenshots simply stopped appearing after I started using some particular version of hook5. I used to be able to press PrntScreen and have them appear in the binaries folder in .BMP format but now it just doesn't work. The other screenshot option fills the images with vertical lines.

Nowadays I have to keep photoshop open and paste the printscreen to a new file if I want to make a screenshot. If anyone has a better idea or a in-game printscreen fix, I'm all ears.

Simple screenshots don't do it for me anymore. Need to create an entire pose set that starts with a couple of 'behavioral' animations like writing and bending over at the copy machine and shit, to 'establish' an identity of a model while looking at the camera. Makes them feel less like a virtual fleshlight.

You should start using this tool (EMFS), this will allow you create a person TXX file, with a custom body, face and Model.

If you don't use EMFS, any custom body TXX file will permanently change one of the three body slots across all characters.

The problem with veryslow pack is that there is no variety. All the models look the same anime like. The only upside is no clipping but at the cost of all the models looking the same and using pretty much tbe same body mod. Same goes for models from dimisd, ddman2 and diversity.

So if you are fine with your models looking the same and have pretty much more or less the same body shape, go for veryslow.

Reduce file sizes, and/or only keep your essentials in the game folders. A bulky Activemod folder and lots of .txx files slow things down and increase load times. I can continue if you still have trouble; there are a few other options.

That fix is a little tricky. In my experience, the quality difference with skin is more noticeable than clothes. I'm not too much of a grafix guy, so I don't mind cutting corners for performance. Taking 4X skins down to 1X size, or using the low rez version of a room, for example.

The game has become temperamental from being fucked with so much, so honestly any tiny issue could still slow your Customizer response down. Another performance fixer could be streamlining your addon scripts, but I'm not familiar with doing it using your merged .txx setup.

It works roughly the same from what little I've played, just adds that 4th model to the selection as well as expanded toy actions. I have a legit 3DSV2 installed on an old laptop, I only use it to rip stuff from GE these days.

Granted, that install has next to nothing in its folders, so obviously I can't vouch for how it plays loaded up with dirty garden mods.

Bad news guys, looks like MG is down permanently. The host received word that the whole CP thing was still haunting them due to the cache, and the site was simply too much of a headache for them to go the legal route, so they dumped the entire contents. Welcome to Obama's internet.

Hopefully something will take its place, but the site as we knew it, content and all, is gone. Hopefully enough people saved shit from there that we can rebuild it, or one of the admins had siteripped or backed everything up.

I'm on Mint Linux, and for some silly reason the "Compress" command in the right-click window doesn't have .rar in it. I tried .zip and it froze, so I looked for .rar and it wasn't there. No, I keep a dual-boot of Win8.1 specifically for TK17, solely because I can't get Hook working in Mint. The game itself runs fine, and some guy on Modsgarden said he got Hook working in Ubuntu. I never tried H5 in Mint because even in Windows H5 doesn't run on my laptop. I used the same Windows8.1 installer on both laptop and desktop, the same DirectX redistributable, the same runtime package, the same TK17 installer, and the same Hook5 files, but for some reason I still get that "DirectX 8 or higher" error message on my laptop but not on my desktop. The desktop only has 2gb of ram at the moment, though, so it only runs Hook5 at 0 FPS and crashes when trying to run Hook4. It's an old shitbox (Optiplex 755) and it was free so I'm amazed that it even runs H5 at all. Cheap ram is on the way in the mail, so I might be able to start tinkering with Hook5 soon, but I'm not holding my breath. That Win8.1 dual-boot is probably here to stay, but if I ever get Hook4 running in Mint I'm wiping it.

The way I got it, it depends finding the right d3d8.dll from hook for your GPU. Say for hook 5, the base one didn't work for me but the .dll from leaked one did. H4 was a trial and error mess.

Oh, no. I don't connect anything with Windows on it to the internet. All of my online fuckery happens through Mint or SuperX. My laptop's just as old, to be honest, but I've upped it to 8gb ram (which the Optiplex will also be any day now). That's actually the reason I'm experimenting with this old desktop: I'm tired of having to reboot to go from fucking around on TK17 to fucking around on the internet. Of course it will be harder to take the desktop into the bathroom, but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Level defs can now be adjusted in game via new interface. Lighting can be adjusted instantly. The only reason to open a leveldef file now is to add spot/omni templates, they can be positioned and adjusted by hand.
