Well I am back.
I have the School Girl set ready.
Just in case the Mod is jumpy. This is a set of ADULT WOMEN

You know the Nam set still has seeders and the WWII set has about a 4mb/s download speed.
I made a screencap of that WWII thread right after I put it up.
500 seeders in 48 hours. Incredible.
I am forever ripping more stuff but would have to poke around in the archive to jar my memory.
I don't think there is anything left on the war front. I looked at smaller conflicts like the the civil war in Rhodesia

In this image - an 1860s photo of Ishiyamadera in Shiga just south of Otsu, the larger hall is one of the oldest surviving wooden buildings in Japan and it's where the Tale of the Genji was originally written. There's a marvelous garden there too with ancient trees, and if you downloaded my torrent, the pic of the paeony garden with the rockface was taken here.

I was almost a year in Kyoto and visited a lot of Kansai, but didn't see anything else. Just looking at gardens, temples, archaeological sites, museums, exhibitions, art galleries ... wow! what a heritage

I will take a minute to get you caught up.
This is the 5th thread of /imagesets/. The first three were not porn related.
Mostly war and military sets but several social/cultural collections also.
I didn't keep everything from those threads but I kept the more popular sets.
Image related. All of these are quality sets.
On a personal note the Architecture set has a sub-folder on Japan.
Some really nice HR stuff in it. 50/50 traditional and modern.
The Space folder is nice and the Russland folder is epic.
It depicts Imperial Russia before the revolution IN COLOR and Hi Res
Google Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky.

thanks for your replies. The Russian pics - they're those handcoloured set of fascinating images of buildings and countryside - I did come across them maybe five years ago and copied a few for my archives. They're exactly the thing I like.

The post immediately above your, anon, gives a link through to archive.loveisover and I did have a look at that thread and download a couple of image torrents including the architecture one. So The garden pic for this post is one from the Japanese section of that Daisen-in garden which was one of the top zen gardens in Kyoto but because of their photography nazis, it's impossible to take photos. So I was delighted to gain a couple for my records.

Do anons have collections of their own photos? Seashell collections? Persian rugs? Their flower arrangements, coins, stamps ... I dunno, it's just military stuff doesn't really tickle me too much, and pawn - well there's no risk of shortage.

The Prokudin-Gorsky collection was not colorized. Gorskii created his negatives by using a camera that exposed one oblong B/W glass plate three times in rapid succession through three different color filters: blue, green, and red. As for my personal photos well I am old as fuck and 90% of mine are from the pre digital age.
Although I did make a nice set about 4 years ago of the Alps in Österreich (Austria).

Also there is another set you find interesting. The Vintage America folder. It came from the LOC as well.
1930's-early 40's in the USA in color. Resolution is only 1024x721 or so but the photos are memorable.
I will post a couple from that set as well.
There is also a collection made by the Wright Brothers as they were developing their Flying Machine.
Depicting their efforts over the 3 years at Kitty Hawk. All in Hi Res.
