How do I make face shadows not look like complete shit in hook5?
For that matter how do I make faces not look like shit?

This infantile baby face wasn't my intention, but if I try to make the face a bit round/puffy it starts to look like a kid with Down's.

I'm using the garage.dds cubemap and a spotlight from the front.

At the same time, DAZ-style renders are getting faster and faster. I've been following DAZ closely in the last 3 years and doing my own renders.
At first Luxrender was the holy grail, but it took 30-120 minutes to render a simple scene with a single character and literally a day for anything more complex.
A while ago they implemented IRAY, which gives similar quality in 5-10 minutes of render time.

Of course it's still very far from realtime, but things are improving fast.

Unreal Engine 4 can also do some pretty damn impressive stuff. I played around with importing DAZ Studio characters into UE4 for my own little porn game I wrote in 2 weeks (it was shit and I abandoned it) and it looked better than hook5 thanks to the higher detail DAZ models. And the environment was far better than anything in Klub, UE4 can render some near photorealistic rooms. All at 60 fps.

The technology is already there to do create some beautiful porn games, but unfortunately these small studios that make porn games don't have the money, skill and resources to pull it off.

When the mods conflict, the mesurement 7,6,5 etc dont show up and when you go into freemode, you actually see that mods are not working.

I dont see anything missing in the game and the game does not crash, basically the height sliders dont work and you dont see the measurements on the slider which is the only indicator you need to see that the mod does not work..

I tried the cheatengine once, and it was tedious loading it up every time. Plus, I wanted bigger dudes, not STUPENDOUSLY gigantic people. The mini-giant mod works better because even though you get huge people, if you make the girl even smaller you can get even more of a size difference.

I tried this by referring to link you gave me. I saved your png image, created a TXF file with“RGB_888” “Opaque” . I did not know what naming convention use. I just gave the name Teeth to a folder, put the png and txf files in it and tried and ofcourse it did not show up. Can anyone guide me as to what naming convention i would use?

Erm not really.

The reason SFM is dominant it is because it's much easier to learn than blender and such, it's very noob friendly.

It is also more easily run on toasters pc (SFM is actually very light considering it's very old engine).

Also nude models in SFM are available to everyone, while nude models for blender require you to have some porting/modelling skill yourself, or know someone that can actually do it for you.

While on SFM u just hop on sfmlab, download a model and copy/paste it into the sfm directory, and you are ready to load it up in the software.

I firmly disagree with this....I experienced first hand on my very new 9 months old gaming laptop (alienware) that SFM ran very poorly... It was lagging and it did give the graphics desired.... I have the GTX980M.... and still it did not co-operate. I then read in one of the steam forums that SFM is designed to run smoothly on high end desktops and not laptops...donno, may be i am doing something wrong..if you say SFM runs smoothly on ur machine...are u on a laptop or desktop?

Well, it's not that you are dumb.
It is most likely that you didn't put much effort into it. While it is a very simple to start off software, it still has a learning curve. Once you spend those hours into it , it's so simple you have no idea lol. (im talking about running it, loading stuff etc... posing and animating stuff is a completely different subject)


btw if you are having bad perfomance on SFM with a new PC/laptop , I can only see 2 reasons:

1) something really bad must be going on with your pc or SFM really does run crap on laptops (seems strange to me tho)
2) you probably needed to lower the timeline in SFM, once you lower the timeline it should run even on the shittiest pc.

I am running SFM on a PC, it runs almost perfectly. But It's a 2010 machine, so kinda crappy actually.
I have less FPS problem in SFM than TK17 with hook4/5
