It's manual so it can take up to a day... and you need a "name that makes sense" and a profile picture (can be anything).

I'm not a huge fan of the discord as there's very little new Oculus stuff and all the new stuff can be gotten through public tracker torrents anyway where as a lot of stuff shared can't. But it's ok for getting the old stuff once you've gotten permission.

Thanks for the info. I did notice the low percentage of Oculus files, but I was able to find some I hadn't seen torrents for. What's frustrated me about the torrents is many of the original seeders seem to quit early - I have several right now stuck between 95 and 100%, one is at 99.8% complete 8^P. Has anyoen got anything from avvr (www.avvr.jp)? They have breief samples for for free, but I've yet to see a full length video posted. I may have heard that they don't sell subscriptions to users outside of Japan, in which case we'll have to wait for the compassion of a Japanese anon.

Also, a bit of friendly info for everyone here:

1) SCALE FIXES: For people like me who have only been downloading CzechVR and WankzVR because they're the only ones with decent scale on GearVR, the good news is that both NAVR/RealteensVR and RealityLovers VR recently got new camera rigs which fix their scale issues. So every NAVR video from the Luna Star one onwards and every RealityLoversVR video from Antonia Sainz onwards is now properly scaled.

2) FINDING CONTENT: Pretty much every VR video you want is on Pornbay. I started using it after the original OPs on here randomly left. I think the old 'Doctor' guy is on there too. So it's definitely worth making an account there and checking it out! Only issue is it's torrents, not direct downloads. Also, yo need to seed after downloading. But it's worth it for free instant content imo.

If you're using cardboard and you don't have the space or your phone can't handle it, just convert it to a lower format. It will take a while, but you're not using your pc all the time. ffmpeg is pretty simple to use, unless you're allergic to CLI.

that website is so you can watch the preview video in browser and move the camera around with the mouse. you have to actually download and watch a video in whirligig. The newest version of whirligig only works in the newest version of Oculus runtime. You can use the DK2 with it, but you may have trouble getting it connect, just keep trying. when you have the runtime up and going, you need to go to the options and switch off the option that keeps it from allowing unregistered apps to run. after that, run whirligig and remember to place the video in the whirligig folder under media. when in whirligig you can use your mouse or xbox controller to look for the video then play it.

I use Trinus to stream the videos to my phone. Its free (for 5 min intervals. I bought it) and works pretty well with VR Player. Had to change the buffering options to get it to play nicely without grey flooding the screen on higher quality files. It'll probably play better on your phone if you have a high end phone, but my S4 won't even boot most of the files, so this is pretty useful.

I never did figure out how to stream videos using riftcat. I'd like to know since its a better program.

I bought this. It's definitely a good experience. It's sort of a cross between hypnosis and JOI. You lie there in "his" position and the scene unfolds around you.

Technically, the models look great when stationary, but I think they're still trying to master the movement a bit. You gotta overlook the walking animations because its one of the first things you see and it's a bit strange :D

Biggest "down side" to me is they plan to do more scenes but if you bought it now - you get the 4 scenes and that's all. So they're meant to be releasing a new scene using Shibby (ehypno, seems popular, I follow her at least!)... you'd need to pay more for that when its released.

But I guess on the flip side - its just DLC, am sure most of us are used to it by now.

Hope that helps. If you've got the cash, definitely go for it. No idea if there's a crack out there, I'm happy supporting the VIVE technology right now as it's so new and emerging.

What player are you using? Most of them have an option to set if you're using a vertical or horizontally stacked video.

I think it works with Oculus but on my Vive I recommend virtual desktop, supports most videos (except those early NA videos with the weird fisheye) and sometimes I use the desktop mode to watch pov vids or other 2d porn with a huge curved screen.

You don't need to convert; the only difference between "oculus" and "gear/smartphone" videos is the latter is just lower quality because those devices are weaker. Any worthwhile player will have an option to switch between LR and OU, like the other anon said. (Used to own a CV1, can confirm Virtual Desktop works; in fact that would be my recommendation for the Rift as well. Some prefer Whirligig though.)

Yes, It's being worked on right now. A VR player has just been made but it's limited. Can do 3D 180degree videos so far but there has only been days of work put into it.

Reddit/PSVRHack - this is where you can get all the information on using it so far.

You plug your PSVR into your PC the same as you would a PS4. It's not plug'n'play yet. You need to install drivers, make sure things are done right.

PSVR has head tracking without the camera, so pretty soon games and videos will work well with PSVR, I'm sure. PSMove trackers have, before, already been made and can replace the Vive controllers. So ya, it's down to gusmanb programming this, he seems to be doing all the work, I think.

Who knows, maybe official PSVR programs will be released soon so there's no need to hack it but I think this will be the only way for quite a while. This PSVR hacking is moving quite fast. Could be fully functional before Christmas.

You're gonna have to do some research. First of all, make sure your PC is fast enough to run VR. Then, your choice is between the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, the rest are all conceptual garbage for now and nothing real, unless you opt for getting a smartphone. Personally, I went with the Vive because I find its hardware specs to be a little better than the Rift (wider field of view, brighter screen, longer cable, etc), but it's not a perfect win and the Rift has some advantages, like being lighter and slightly more comfortable (unless you're wearing glasses). There's a free version of Whirligig that works similar to the Steam version, except you have to change the default speakers manually instead of setting up SteamVR to do it for you. There's also DeoVR that has more features than Whirligig and does a decent job, same sound issues though. Both require setting the Oculus software to allow third-party software.
