If you're starting over, start with Hook 5. It works a bit differently to Hook 4, both in the way you mod the textures and the way lighting works. Hook 5 will the way to go for this game moving forward.

As far as I know, both male and female textures for Hook 5 are already up on MG, along with a few for clothes and room level definitions.

Since he's getting more than enough money to pay his rent and bills every month just from the patreon, I'd imagine he's going to milk it for as long as he possibly can. These were made by that james_sunderland guy and hootie from modsgarden. You might say it's just because of cleverly placed lighting, but like all photoshoots, THAT is half of what it's all about. Even Hook 5 will look like shit in the hands of people who can't position their angles and light sources right.

For now, it's tough to say which one is 'better' overall aesthetically. Right now, the only thing dividing you people are pure personal taste. Nothing more.

I like poses that have sudden, deep and fast thrusts. Illusion games never had such a pose.

Regardless, Honey Select isn't that good. It delivers a quick neatly package fap toy, sure, but a fully modified TK17 that I tailored in every aspect from the models to rooms and poses coupled with just demo Hook 5 is still miles better.

The best Illusion has offered in terms of animation is the Poser sub-app. I was told that one can inject own animated poses crafted with Blender into the game, but the amount of modding knowledge, effort and finnickiness is on a level I can't deal with.

The one thing that game has over TK17, would be girls and women that have 'personalities', and change the way they talk depending on the way you have sex. All the times you interact with your girl in the game has different dialogue sets depending on her 'affinity' to the player(normal, friendly, slutty, enslaved, hate or 'broken').

Since the way your bitch respond to you depend on the way you have sex(and they change all the time, depending on what you do during sex), it crudely gives them a makeshift feeling of being 'alive'(or at least, as 'alive' as a bot programmed with less than 100 different lines), and you may end up getting attached to your creations. Of course, all of this will be void for those who can't read or understand runespeak, but you can count on Hongfire to release a translation in a week or two.

All in all, I can say the game is 'fun' for what it is and the varied ways that the girls can react. They have over six base personalities with over a dozen choices for 'likes' and 'dislikes' along with 'sexual tendencies', each of which have 6 variants of affinities. But for the true content creators, or simply people that are hard to please unless the specific fetishes are fulfilled, this thing is a fap-and-forget title.

Oh, and they recycled a lot of shit from Sexy Beach Premium Resort for the character creation, and everything else gets discarded instead of expanding on them. This is why I started believing that Illusion isn't a pure business entity; their frequently anti-business practices makes me believe that they are actually one of the hundreds of stand-in companies whose sole purpose is for the Yakuza to launder their money.

There are two eye scale mods in the garden that i have tried, and will do what you want, unfortunately these will make all your models eyes pop out of the head, and each eye for each model has to be reset.

I think that hook5 generally looks better than h4, but the lack of room definitions and textures of course hurts.

For me personally a big thing is that h5 is stable where as h4 used to crash all the time before I made the jump.
