I found Takahashi's absurdist comedy to be pretty repetitive. After about five or six episodes of Urusei Yatsura, you've explored all the possible situations between Lum and Ataru, and she simply added an additional character from another planet and repeated the same gags over again. This week, it's an Ice Princess. Next week, it's a Fire Princess. After that, a competitor from Lum's own planet... and so on.

Ranma seemed to progress the same way to me, with the added curse that since I was already familiar with Urusei Yatsura, I'd already been exposed to all the gags, too - just arranged between different characters!

Now her horror stories, OTOH ...

Supposedly there was another Lupin VIII done that year that I cannot find any mention of anywhere.

There was also a parody anime called Lupin Shanshei, but at least there's a few pages of data on that show, just no uploads.

Has anyone actually seen these shows or am I about to drive myself crazy looking for them?
These are the only things I don't have in my Lupin collection.

*Another* one? I remember back around 1991 when the first one was left incomplete - supposedly because of copyright troubles - and a group of crazies called Pinesalad Productions released their own dub of it because it didn't have a soundtrack. Their stuff always made me laugh!

hey lads was wondering if you could help me with finding the best quality torrent available for Rurouni Kenshin. I'm not sure if there's a bluray release although I'd imagine there is since it's so well-known. The version I'm watching right now is a 1280x962, rip each episode about 90mb. Video quality is as in pic related.

Version I'm watching right now irritates me a bit because it's dual audio and I can't work out if the subs are translations of the Japanese or just transcribing the English audio - they're very similar.


This is my first time watching so if there are any other versions you'd recommend that might not even be the best quality I'd be interested in hearing about it, so far this show's really cosy even though it's stupid.
