Currently watching this, chapter 4.
I'm kind of lost, i feel like i'm missing chapters or something.
It's not that i don't understand things, but more like the show take things for granted when they never happen, or weren't shown at least.
When did the MC and the girl became friends? She barely appeared so far.
Why the sudden focus on that Mayama guy? I just learn his name and he already went through a full arc or something.

Is it supposed to be like this? Does it get better later? Because it's getting kind of dense and this things aren't helping.

The only reason Honey and Clover is regarded as good is because it takes place in college and not high school. Narrative-wise it's as shitty as your average anime.
