Long short story: my and my friends just have an argument about anime. While they thought that modern anime lacked "sincerity", somehow I argued to them that they were mistaken "sincerity" with "simplicity". Then, they asked me what did "simplicity" really mean in anime?
So, how does /a/ think of this matter? Is "simplicity" mean a simple plot, follow-able characterization, or being cliche?

Is there an anime better than Hyouge Mono or a main character more based than Furuta Oribe-dono?
