I'll bump this because it's a fucking miracle someone made a thread.
>Contreras in the game
Can't chilly the willy.
Are these umps trying to get killed?
i thought contreras was suspended
>>78299230
He's appealing, which means he's allowed to play until it's heard. Or the appeal is dropped and he then serves the two games. Which will most likely happen when the Cubs face the Devil Rays next week and then the Cubs can have Conteras against the Tards and Boors.
HE DID IT AGAIN! MADMAN!
I fucking hate you Cubs people. But there's one thing I agree with you on and it's that Cardinals broadcasting is absolutely cringeworthy. Mike Shannon on the radio is OK because he gets the same "senile old man pass" I give Hawk.
fuck dan, fuck tim, fuck rooney, especially fuck joe buck(he isn't a regular but he does games for them when he can because MUH DAD) Edmonds and Hrabosky are OK sometimes. I just really can't stand McLaughlin since i hear him the most often.
>>78299230
you can play while you appeal.
>This strike zone
It's like the Umps are doing this intentionally now and not because they're blind.
>Jim Deshais: Kyle Hendricks has picked off 6 already this year
>already
>in September
lackey and the spic are a disgrace to this honorable great past time...cubs will not win any close calls during the reminder of this season and into next baseball season
cub killer Pham on deck
fuck you cusb are lucky to escape that inning without giving up a dinger
another boreball game time to go play some AoE
>>78299731
>more like momentum killer
i wanted to drop Pham 2 years ago because he tripped on some luggage(cub fags might remember this carlos boozer reference) then down some stairs in austrailia and was out for 2 months. but man i am glad they have stuck with him, he's really starting to turn into a good mlb player

7 now
>>78299842
yeah, today is definitely vidya during baseball feeling kinda day. though i'll take a slow close game compared to the rape last night.
this is a slow paced game though, it's really easy to spread attention.
the cubs are the most immature team on the planet. contreras clearly juices that dud went full roid rage
>hendricks day
>>78300146
What game is that anon? It looks comfy?
>>78300183
He didn't even go half as crazy as Bryce Harper went several times this season you goof.
>>78300232
Swedenbro! How are things in Sweden these days?
>>78300319
bryce harper is legit autistic. contreras is a complete juicer. he has no respect for baseball and should be banned from the game
>>78300389
Now you're just trolling :-(
>>78300293
World of Warships.
If you're really into ww2 ships(grandfather was a ww2 navy vet) the game is comfy AF
>>78300446
only about the last part. the ban for steroids is what 50 games? he should be banned for 50 games. it's not fair that he can juice and get away with it
>>78300232
How does a Swede get into baseball?
>>78300338
Really hectic this season, not had time to chill down and hang around as much as I'd like. Hope it gets better closer to playoff time.
>>78300494
Bulls fan since 98-99, picked up Cubs in early 00's when I travelled to Chicago with family and ended up realising Baseball is pretty damn fun.
>>78300573
>swedish
>fan of bulls
u cant make this stuff up folks
that ivy covered brick wall is very dangerous...fuck your friendly confines
Almora's on fire!
Heyward should be sitting the bench everyday until Almora goes cold.
Chicago tourism is unbeatable in the summer. I can't blame a eurotrash for falling in love with this amazing city. No other US city can compete.
2 baseball teams, awesome lakefront activities( like drinking on your friend's "tallship" during a "tallship" even at Navy Pier. The best food and variety of food in the united states (people try to day deep dish isn't pizza- fine, be an idiot and think that way- chicago traditional crust pizza still is way better than NYC and Cali-Style is just laughable.
As a tourist I can't blame you for picking the Cubs over the Sox though. Even back since-forever, Wrigleyville has always been a better place to watch baseball and is way better at hooking the normies. You don't tend to be a white sox fan unless you grew up with it.
>>78301558
was for >>78300573
also, how did you only just become a bulls fan in 98 and not before that when they were even more dominant?
>>78301558
>>78301602
It was just random that it ended up being the Cubs. We went to a game at each ballpark, and the experience at Comiskey is still among the worst I've had. Meanwhile at Wrigley it was far more merry so for a young kid it was an easy choice.
As for the Bulls, I was too young to think in terms of picking teams. I just picked players I liked a lot (mainly Malone, Pippen, Barkley) until I decided that I was gonna be a Bulls fan. Instead I ended up being sent into the darkest era as MJ retired again and the team pretty much disbanded. Baby Bulls era made those years worth it though.
Why don't the white sox have the same cult following as the cubs
Cringey baseball song moment = check

i will hate on the cubs all day (as im sure a lot of people know) but going to a cubs game is 1000x the experience of going to a white sox game. there are plenty of great bars and restaurants to eat and drink at before a cubs game, where at GRate, if you walk 4 blocks away from the field you better have a carry permit for something with .45 ACP or a 9mm with a huge mag. There is literally nothing to do before a Sox game unless you tailgate. yes there are some bars, but they're greasy townie places you don't want to be. Once you get inside GRate, all is fine though. They have a great "stadium club", awesome food selection and quality, and also as good of a selection and pricing as you're going to get on beer. But that's only once you get inside the park. Before the game you might as well sit in your car. The cubs and cardinals both have amazing ballpark surroundings for great before and after eating and drinking festivities. Going to Wrigley or Busch III is a 3 hour affair for me, I spend 3 hours eating/drinking/socializing before the game, watch the game, then to the a fore mentioned things after the game.
I loved charles barkley even though i was a jordan/pippen/rodman fan. hell, i still love barkley Inside the NBA is more entertaining to watch than any of the shitty games. The NBA is a failed professional league.
ALMORA
Goddamn, I love this guy.
>>78302441
*9 hour affair
>>78302441
desu if a 300 pound 6'4 dude didnt threathen to "break" me if I didnt let go of a home run ball we scrambled for I could just as well have ended up a Sox fan. I was like 12 at the time, had nightmares for some time.
Dammit, Baez. That second pitch was a meatball.
>>78302557
>gotta hit every pitch 500 feet
>>78302594
>le swing the bat really hard man
Damn it.
>>78302547
That dude's a piece of shit, hell, I'm a piece of shit, but I'm not even a big enough piece of shit to take a ball from a kid. Even if I cleanly make the catch, I usually just hand it off to the nearest kid since I know it's a big deal to them and it's worthless thing to me.
>The only time fighting over baseballs and threatening to kill people is over HR record breaking balls desu
Damn again. Oh well, still a great start for Hendricks.
air russell is back
Welcome back Addy.
