What went wrong?
Wait til next year. Pitching should be healthy and you have a nice core in the lineup with Donald, Smoak, Morales, and this Hernandez kid looks promising.

If you beat the opposing team they win
Too many injuries, especially guys like Sanchez and Travis, and sub-par seasons from guys like Bautista and Donaldson.
Next year should be better, I'm really impressed by these call-ups plus guys like Bichette and Guerrero still in the pipeline, this just looks like a bit of a hiccup

Rogers got their playoff bucks. They're content to not do anything for another decade. Maybe even longer now that the Leafs may be good again.

Has any corporately-owned baseball team achieved success?
25 losses in 1 run games. Anti clutchness is what went wrong

They'd at least be fucking .500
Too many injuries to key guys like Donaldson, Sanchez, Travis and finally Tulo. Bullpen has been GASSED for a lot of the season due to so many rotation injuries and those two months of Estrada playing like he should be in A-ball. Osuna's been pretty terrible since the All-Star break and cost them about half a dozen games; Grilli blew a bunch of games too before he got traded. Tulo continues his downward spiral and Bautista further proved that 2016 wasn't a fluke (he's not a bad hitter still but he's not a middle of the order bat anymore). Also the catching position has been subpar offensively for most of the season with all the time impressed and regression from Martin; Montero has helped a bit at least in that regard but he's not exactly a top 15 catcher leaguewide. They continued the trend of having very little team speed, however, Urena and Hernandez are definitely steps in the right direction.
Next year they really need to get another lefty reliever or two since that's been a headache all season. Howell, when healthy (which wasn't much) was dreadful and then got released. Loup hasn't been as good as his ERA would make you believe (which isn't even that good to begin with for a specialty guy). Is Dermody any sort of an answer? Yes, if you're okay with a failing grade. Mayza gives me some hope despite his rocky debut. As for the other relievers, Leone has been a wonderful surprise, Terpera has been good as he's finally gotten a shot to be a full time major leaguer, Barnes has been good but has been shaky lately, and Ramirez has been ridiculous this season (mostly in the minors) and hasn't given up an earned run in nearly 50 innings between the three highest levels of pro ball.

You're retarded. If they went 12-13 there they'd be up to 80-67 on the season; they'd be tied with the Yankees (for wins, not percentage) but actually might be ahead of them since I assume at least one of those new wins would be then a Yankees loss.
