-random draws
-all 18 or 20 teams from the big league play in it
-allow half the teams from scrub league to play
-and then quarter depending on coefficient
-make the number of teams 256
-home and away fixtures
-knock out every game
-winner progresses to next round until final

First money balance needs to be fixed. Barca Real and Bayern being so dominant snowballs from them spending each year more and more money on players. Only clubs with investors who are willing to put in billions into the club like with city stand a chance. It makes CL boring to watch and it makes the local competitions in a country even more boring.

it's no good having a tournament only for "elite" clubs that then get extra exposure

we need a tournament where all teams can participate
