You'll never get Catalunya off the calendar while Drivers love it. It's the most technical track on the calendar. Not great for exciting overtaking but it's a real driver challenge. Plus with the current Aero. Jerez and Jarama ain't going to be much better.

does anyone seriously follow GT racing?

it's a category for the Vadim Kogay's of the world. The category for the bored, middle aged millionaires living out their dreams that should have died long ago. Customer friendly racing for amateur drivers.

The cars aren't really interesting at all, can't rub panels without spraying carbon fibre everywhere, races are long grinds that last half a day and require multiple drivers to complete.

It's all the cost, fragility and line-astern racing of open wheelers without the speed and sound and the size and weight of touring cars without the lack of grip, closely bunched fields and bump and grind.

Don't get how people can watch GTs at all, desu.
