Read the rules

Most important one is that you can make substitutions after Tuesdays matches. So you should have ALL of your lads who play on Tuesday in the starting lineup, because if they don't perform well you can replace them with someone who plays on Thursday.

And no, you can't sub players on after their match is finished.
