I really think he's a very good coach.
The only problem is that he's not a pragmatic coach at all.
If you give him the best players in the world he will make them play better than they ever did.
But he can't set up a decent team to cover for some of the flaws he might have.

My conclusion:
I wouldn't want any other coach if I had the best players.
I wouldn't want him near my team if he didn't had the best players.

Not sure I agree. Players like Valdes, Pique, Busquets and Pedro were not the best in the world when Pep took over, he turned them into great ones (or world class in some cases). On the other hand, he took over a treble winning Bayern side, i.e. the best team in Europe and failed to have them perform at that level in the 3 years he spent there. Now that he has unlimited money at City, he has the ability to assemble the best team in the world but his signings barely make any sense.

As far as man management goes, he's probably as good as a manager can get. Tactics-wise though, he has absolutely no idea what he's doing. It's like he's trying to create meme tactics all the time hoping one of them works magically and he can claim to have created the Pep formation that will still be used in 2030. He most likely lucked out that the tiki-taka 4-3-3 he played at Barca worked because players were taught to play it from a young age at the academy and tries to recreate that success with a new meme every now and then.
