If you are finding it hard to meet people on solo travel you better learn fast though, maybe the mindset of "i'm alone, no one i know will care if I talk to these people and no one i talk to will ever see me again if it goes bad". try making friends with the hostel/hotel staff you are at not only do they give you the best travel tips to enhance your experience they can act as a host and introduce you to people.

Well first where does your anxiety and self loathing stem from? start there and work your way up. For me it was the feeling of "I lost the only thing I had going for me" when I had broke up with my ex. I was in this shitty relationship because in my mind that was validation that I was successful and happy even though I wasn't. I came to that realization over the next couple of years. I realized that I had friends in the same boat as i had been in where they seemed happy but weren't. We all see things differently and I can see why one would think being in a relationship automatically makes you happy. I think lots of people are like that. I am not from Australia. Long story short I used to game with my dad (Neverwinter Nights, EverQuest, DAoC) and through gaming I made a few friends in AUS that eventually got me into the sport.

As far as unaccomplishment, start making small goals for yourself like "I'm going to start exercising" or if you already do up your weight a little or add a few more reps or laps in. Commit yourself to reading a book or two in a week. Small accomplishments. Then work to bigger things like being in public places and interacting with people. Don't discard the smaller accomplishments when you move on to bigger things, they'll help you tide over until you complete bigger tasks. Dont be afraid to admit to yourself if you bite off more than you can chew. Eventually you can try big achievements like working towards a dream job or learning a new language or getting into a commited relationship. I wish I would have taken more baby steps, my first year of dating my wife was rocky because I was still working on myself and was having trouble loving the person that I was. Thankfully she stuck by my side and help me through. But I was definitely a "Bit off more than he could chew" case for a bit.

Anyways, I'm off to the store to grab some juice and eggs before the poort iggs game starts. You lads want anything?
