There are people on this board right now that actually ever thought this man was a better player than Peyton, let alone the GOAT.

By all means, continue to shout "muh rings" as if they're a reliable metric for individual success. I'd say this exposure was the most embarrasing thing tonight if it wernt for the absolutely barren stands in the 4th quarter.
>>
Literally everybody that is a real longtime pats fan has always known Tom was only slightly above great-tier. The whole GOAT thing is propped up by bandwaggoners and casuals that can't even name more than 5 players on the team.
Cry more faggot. This changes nothing. Bill is still the greatest coach.
>>
>>78114327
This, we all saw how good Garoppolo looked in the system. Brady is good but it's Bill who got those 5 rings.

>Literally everybody that is a real longtime pats fan has always known Tom was only slightly above great-tier. The whole GOAT thing is propped up by bandwaggoners and casuals that can't even name more than 5 players on the team.
The historical revisionism on Brady has been fucking ridiculous. Only in the last 5-6ish years have people really started considering him elite. Clear product of the GOAT system he's in.
>>
>>78114327

LOL

Bill's defense just gave up 42 points. He's a joke GM.
>>
>>78114327
DAMAGE CONTROL
>>
Honestly I'm ok with this because the overrating of Tom has been the most disrespectful thing to the overall team and the various players that all got the team 5 rings.
Tom is a great QB and perfectly adheres to Bill's system, but it's Bill's genious of that system that has brought the team success, and literally even Tim himself has admitted this. So I'm glad we can finally talk about this fact.
As a pats fans, millenials that just wear gronk and brady jerseys and spout do your job memes are the most annoying thing ever
>>
What a shitty performance
>>
I mean he wasn't great but the gameplan was super fucking vertical against a great defense, Gronk was MIA, Edeljew 0.5 got injured, the offense was hastily playing mess
>>

>>
>>78114420
I still think Brady's best work was carrying that terrible 2011 team to the Owl.

>>78114570
Bill wouldn't even be afraid of benching him if he plays bad.
>>
>>78114420
It's just sad because it's insulting to me as a pats fan from birth.
I fucking love Superbowl 36. It'a my favorite one, but ask most pats """"fans"""" about it and they will spout "Brady's first win babyyyy".
That's not why I love it at all. Brady was at best, mediocre in it. I instead remember the team in red, white, and blue bringing home a much needed win in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, the defense stopping Warner, even Brown's 98 yard run that got flagged and taken back. It was a team win.
And honestly that goes for almost all the Oats owls.
I love Tom. He's my QB and I wouldn't want anyone else than number 12 on the field leading the O line, but this "GOAT" shit needs to stop. He never was that good. What he actually is is the perfect fit for the team he's on. And that's what matters

>>
>>78114641
Peyton was always better than Tom. But Peyton couldn't be on Bill's team. Oeyton IS whatever offense he is on. He hoes up to the line, shouts 10 things, and runs a play, then he gows back uo the next play, shouts the same 10 things, but they mean completely different things. The man is a mental genious and physical majerty at the position. That wouldn't work on Bill's team where everything comes from the top down. Tom is the only QB that can perfectly adhere to Bill's formula.
>>
People are still comparing Brady to Peyton? The amount of delusion is astonishing.

Peyton was always a better individual player
>>
Peyton is a vetter QB

>>
Brady is a great QB but he's not the greatest. However, Bill IS the greatest coach and the pats organization has certainly been the best run over the past 17 years or whatever. I still say you put Rodgers or Peyton on NE over the last decade and the pats have more titles (well not old peyton, I mean prime peyton obviously).

This game was like the first time in what seems like a decade+ where a pats opponent hasn't just wilted in the 4th quarter and given away or squandered a late lead to retarded penalties or prevent defense. I really wish every team that played the pats would actually close the game out like what we just saw (actually continuing to do what is working on offense and defense).
>>
>>78114656
He didn't have Madden curse on him.
>>
>>78114728

Pats defense sucked and has sucked since 2010. Lucky picks here and there but you are retarded if you believe belicucks system has a solid defense. They always relied on bradys ability for the last quarter drive.

>Pats defense sucked and has sucked since 2010.
The Patriots have had a top 10 defense 7 of the last 8 seasons

I bet the most you've achieved this week is walking to the fridge to grab another mountain dew

But I bet he hasn't choked in any Super Bowls
>>
>>78135462
The only Super Bowl you could really argue Tom Brady won by himself was 51. The others would have been impossible without Viniteri or the defense.

Tell me, which player has been the ONE constant from the pats' first super bowl win to its most recent?
>>
The bullshit blunder in Seattle and the blown lead in SF years back, all years since Superbowl vs. Vikes....Drew Brees has been banging his head against a wall, record setting air attack, last season NOLA lost 5 or 6 games by a total of 14pts. 2 touchdowns.....defensive incompetence threw his effort out the window. Hope that man gets a good season this year. 3rd all time in everything. Manning holds the single season air record over him by one yard. Brees/Brady will retire, Rodgers has plenty left in the tank. Rodgers, Carr, Marriota, Ryan in shadows. Winston, Goff, Stafford and Luck have a bit of a window. Brady is a badass but I will always hate him and he has nightmares of the game in the snow vs. Raiders. Knows it was a fumble. Can't wait for OAK to get their hands on him later this year.

I don't even watch football, but I don't know why /sp/ feels the need to invalidate a person's entire career via "EXPOSED" threads and the like after one loss.

>people have called brady and the pats cheaters since 2007 my canadian friend.
Gee wonder why, they've only literally been caught cheating multiple times.

You never put the Pats out after one loss of course, but this was big game for the Chiefs, 4 thru the air and 2 on the ground. Well balanced attack.

Let's see what happens when the team doesn't have Tom Brady. Last season they went 3-1 without Tom Brady. In 2008 they went 11-5 with Matt fucking Cassell, and I promise you that after this year when Brady retires they'll still be a playoff contender with Jimmy G. Brady is a great quarterback sure but is he the reason the Patriots have 5 Superbowls? No it's Bill Belicheck, considering he's been the coach for longer than Toms tenure and the GM for most of it. Almost every important decision is made by Bill, not Tom. Anybody who gives most of the credit to Tom doesn't know how important a good coach/GM is to a team's success.

>Last season they went 3-1 without Tom Brady. In 2008 they went 11-5 with Matt fucking Cassell

You're ignoring the circumstances that led to those records. Jimmy G looks like he's a pretty decent qb in his own right and they won a game without him because the Texans were woeful.

In 2008 they have a piss easy schedule and got demolished by any team with a winning record.

That may be true but the fact the team doesn't completely fall apart when Tom has to leave kinda of says something. I mean the team clearly doesn't play as well but it still runs. When Peyton left Indy the team collapsed. When Derek Carr got injured the Raiders collapsed. Those guys run the team. A lot of Partriots plays are designed. It's pretty rare to see a broken play where Tom really has to improvise. He also doesn't audible to much except to put a man in motion to check for zone or man. Tom Brady is a system baby. But he's the GOAT system baby and he's really good at reading a defense. But if you asked him to do what Peyton or Aaron Roders does he almost certainly couldn't pull it off.

Defense wins games, they were highest scoring D last yr and have been one of the best for a long time. Not to mention a division that has been asleep on it's back guaranteeing 6-0 or 5-1 every yr.

They missed the playoffs in 08 you fucking mong.

I'm not a fan of Brady's, but pretending he's anything other than the greatest or one of the greatest is fucking retarded. On the extremely rare occasions when he has a bad game everyone comes out of the woodwork to say he sucks and is overrated, it's fucking pathetic.

11 wins gets you in 99 out of 100 they should have been in there

In both of peytons wins his defence carried him and his stats were garbage.

so in 2007 when he threw 50 fucking touchdowns people didn't consider him elite? this thread is already retarded and I've scrolled down 4 comments
