Pre-season is over, it is now safe to draft!
12 team PPR, I drafted 11th and 14th. I got Zeke in the 2nd which feels like a massive steal now that news of his suspension potentially being wiped out has broke.
12 team 1/2 PPR, drafted before week 1 preseason
picked up McFadden off FA after the Zeke suspension broke, picked up Kupp off FA right before game 1 preseason, and picked up Hogan as soon as I saw Edelman collapse
how did I do
12 Team 0.5 PPR. Drafted at the 11th spot.
I should win this right? I don't know which two RBs to roll with as my RB2 and Flex.
Ameer, Jacquizz, or Hunt?
>tfw Fantasypros ranks my team as dead last
>>77970758
Forgot to mention Gore as well.
WHO HERE IS RIDING MARTAVIS BRYANT TO VICTORY
>>77970758
Your RB depth leaves much to be desired
>>77970686
Zeke's suspension wont be wiped out, the Brady case already confirmed Goodell has all the power when it comes to suspensions and appeals thanks to the CBA the players union agreed to, but when he returns from suspension you should be in great shape
>>77971182
Yeah, I don't draft for weeks 1-6 but rather weeks 13+
12-team, 2PPR
I give:
D. Parker
K. Hunt
B. Powell
I get:
J. Landry
F. Gore
T. West
My starting RBs and receivers are McCoy, Powell, Baldwin, and Cooks. Flex is Diggs and I have Hunt and Woodhead as the best bench options for RB.
Leaning no because it seems fairly worthless to both parties. I don't like Gore or West at all and i like Hunt and Powell.
how're my teams looking?
feel like i have question marks at WR on both but feel okay to wait and see
I've had Jamaal Charles on my team the past 3 years ama
>>77971153
Really? I'm pretty happy with the RBs I got considering lack of RB depth in the NFL overall.
I could have gotten Murray and Ajayi for my first 2 picks, but AJ Green fell to me and I felt like I couldn't pass that up. Unless you think I should have passed Green and gone with Murray Ajayi?
Otherwise, Murray, Abdullah, Hunt, Gore seems like a solid foundation.
>>77971545
I could have also gotten Zeke but who the fuck knows if he's out for 6 games or not. Didn't want to take that chance.
>>77971545
Ajayi will be the biggest bust of all time
>>77971794
I agree with this. Ajayi legs are so bad that he will not be able to walk in a coupe years
>>77971374
Awful trade. You're guys are worth more than what you'd get in return
Pick 3, 12 team PPR
Pryor
Crabtree
Z. Jones
Parker
D. Adams
Leaning towards Pryor Crabtree and Parker but may switch one out to Jones and says fuck it, ride or die.
>>77971374
Hard pass, Parker is going to boom this season hard.
12 man PPR, had the 9th pick. Also just dropped Cole Beasley for Danny knowing Julian is ded.
>>77971978
That's a solid team, I'd give it 8.5/10. Love your recieving corps and your backs are really strong. Don't really care for marshawn or vereen, both are pretty old with injuries but otherwise a great draft.
>>77972043
Took Vereen as a late round flyer. Will be the first to drop for a hot waiver wire pick.
>>77972139
Prob won't happen, but maybe package vereen, McFadden, and Corey Davis or diggs to get someone like zeke. I'd wait until after Monday but with zeke you'd be unstoppable.

I'm drafting in about 4 hours. Last year was my first year doing this and I went almost the enitre season undefeated. It's a fairly serious league even though I knew almost nothing. Last year I just picked the highest player of whatever position everyone else was choosing that round. Sound strategy?

Everyone says to get running backs first but since I'm third I'm thinking maybe I should snag a good qb. Since it's a snake draft almost everyone will go twice before I get my second pick so I think if I wait I'll get stuck with a shit qb. Am I being retarded?

Nah, someone took a late round flyer on him. Was eyeballing him before he got drafted. Oh well. Danny should take over Julian's slot role anyway, so it's still good value. Kareem Hunt @ NE
Of those, I think Hunt is the best player, but I don't like his match up. I think New England will game plan against the run and shut him down. Bryant has far more upside, but Sanders has a higher floor.

>>77986161

>>77986161
Your rbs are fucked.
>>77986104
>Your receivers are trash.
Dez and K. Allen are both top 15 locks if they stay healthy (lol), but even if they don't Martavis has a good chance of being a really good WR2 with a healthy Big Ben (lol again). Corey Coleman looked like he had great chemistry with Kizer through preseason, and as the only real dynamic pass catcher on the Browns, he will get plenty of targets all over the field. And then Sanders is there as the safe, reliable, though underwhelming option in an emergency scenario.
>>77986154
The only bad thing about Big Ben is that he's injury prone. When he's healthy, that offense is gonna be explosive, and passing TDs are worth 6 in my league. Cook has a decent floor because he is the presumptive starter, but I think I have the RB depth to cover for him if he really sucks.
>>77986137
I am definitely considering replacing Keenan Allen with Martivis Bryant. Keenan looked great in preseason, but Denver is a terrible match up. Not to mention I'm starting Denver's D, so it's kinda counter productive.
The real problem with my team is that there is far too much risk in injury prone players and unproven rooks/sleepers. I see it as high risk/high reward.

Just finished a crazy live draft. 10 teams (standard scoring), a few of them didn't really know what they were doing. It was out first time doing a live draft so none of us really knew what to expect.
I was team 8 (first pick Melvin Gordon). Feel free to rate the best teams and make fun of some of the bizarre early round picks. Sorry if the picture quality is bad, I didnt have much time to take the pic.
>>77986507
>Brown after Julio
>Gordon after Freeman
>>77986462
Wrong. Dak is due for serious regression this year with a tough schedule, I'd be surprised if he makes the top 15, thus impacting dez immensely. Keenan is a joke with maybe an 800 yard season. Coleman is decent but kizer is still struggling with accuracy and honestly just might Mike Vick it And run more than he throws. And semen is a mediocre qb with an awful oline, making Sanders a solid wr3. 3/10 effort, try again next year.
>>77986507
I can't make out BouchBagg's 2nd pick. Is that Rishard Matthews or Jordan Matthews?
Also, that looks fun. Did you have all the nameplates made ahead of time or did you print them as they were selected?
>>77986577
Yes, it is actually Rishard Matthews. We were as confused as you probably are. Maybe he knows something we don't.
And we actually got the whole poster+stickers from this one website a couple weeks ago for like 12 dollars. I was really impressed with it.
>>77986563
Yeah I couldn't believe that Brown dropped to the 5th pick. But I'm glad about Gordon cause I got him.
>>77986573
I agree with you on Dez, top 15 was an overstatement. I may end up benching him after week 2 if the situation looks bad. Your assessment of Keenan Allen seems more subjective/intuitive than fact-based. All I know is he seemed to be the go-to receiver in Week 3 of preseason, and Rivers is still good enough to give him a 1000+ yard, 8+ TD season. I don't know where you are getting that Kizer struggles with accuracy. This preseason he was showing good pocket awareness/movement, good touch on the ball, and he was consistently hitting receivers right where he needed to. And yes, Sanders is not much more than a high end WR3/flex option. I drafted him too high in hindsight, but I guess you pay for reliability.
>>77986657
>Your assessment of Keenan Allen seems more subjective/intuitive than fact-based. All I know is he seemed to be the go-to receiver in Week 3 of preseason, and Rivers is still good enough to give him a 1000+ yard, 8+ TD season.
Agreed rivers is solid and the number one receiver but dude can't stay healthy, in part to the God awful training staff of the chargers. He's only hit 1k yards once in his career and played in less than 40 games in 4 years. I''d estimate he misses 4-5 games minimum on injury.
>I don't know where you are getting that Kizer struggles with accuracy. This preseason he was showing good pocket awareness/movement, good touch on the ball, and he was consistently hitting receivers right where he needed to.
Kizer week one 11/18
Week two 8/13
Week three 6/18!!! And an interception! Against the bucks!! And announced the starter the following week!! I've got Crowell in my main league so if anyone wants him tom be solid and prevent a stacked box every game, it's me. He's far too inconsistent for my tastes, and Coleman is a decent talent but needs the ball to be placed correctly. Further, he does not strike me as confident in the pocket. He honestly looks like someone trying to dump the ball off as quick as possible.
>and yes, Sanders is not much more than a high end WR3/flex option. I drafted him too high in hindsight, but I guess you pay for reliability.
You pay for production.
>>77986754
I watched those Browns games, many of those incompletions were well-placed balls that were simply dropped by the receiver. And INTs aren't necessarily a bad thing for Coleman's value. I'd rather he take risks throwing it than playing too conservatively, and if the Browns get behind in games, that just means Kizer has to throw it more. I get that Kizer has a lot to prove, but he looked competent enough to get the ball to Coleman several times a game.
I just checked, and I took Sanders at the 8/9 turn. Just for fun, here are the WRs taken before my next pick.
Sammy Watkins (rd. 9)

Keeping Odells head on straight keeps him playing well on the field. OBJs worst games came during/after the whole Josh Norman/kicking net fiasco. He got his shit straight and the whole offense took a step forward, including bumps for cruz, shep, and the defense as a whole.
Screenshot this and come back to me after the season.

>>77987303
That's totally possible. I just think it's much more likely that he plays a smaller role on offense than he usually does, and only puts up low-end WR2, high end WR3 numbers this year. We will see.
>>77987316
I don't like your RBs after Bell. If Martavis looks good, and Ameer underwhelms as much as I expect he will, I'd consider trading a WR to upgrade at RB.

This was the situation at the end of the last season. Of course I usually stream defenses but at that point I probably wanted to keep some defenses out of my opponents hands or something.

Looks pretty bad. I don't see any real areas of strength, besides maybe RB depth. I don't think you're making the playoffs.
This guy in my league is looking to trade Brady. He has Carr as his 2nd QB.
Any recommended trades I should offer? My roster is on the left. His on the right.

You got nothing to offer. His team is perfect.

Freeman, Crowell, Michael Thomas. Are these draft prospects or are you in 4 team league?

Do I have a good chance at winning? $200 is the prize pool winner take all. I thought I took great picks with my depth. 1. OBJ
2. Ajayi
3. Dez
4. Gurley
5. Brees
6. Hilton
I had 6th pick and nobody wanted to touch hilton.
>>78013345
Your league mates are morons. Regardless, you should not be rostering multiple DSTs or TEs, and in the case of Brees, QBs. I'm guessing that there is some insane value available on your waivers if you got Gurley in the 30s and Hilton in the 50s. I would go there now and take a close look.

Yep, choose between having customized logos and using personal stuff, or not, difference is one method requires you to email the Commish for invites, other is just join.

This is completely untrue. The only thing to make people really care is for it to be a money league, which /sp/ is obviously not in the business of making. If somebody is like 0-5 they're probably going to stop caring regardless of if they have a funny image.

auction draft tomorrow at noon and i've done zero research is there any resource out there that can help me win my league?
>>78016102
I usually start by making a cheat sheet using fantasypros.com and selecting the top 3 to 5 experts based on draft accuracy over the past two years. Then I watch all the Week 3 preseason games and see who I really like and who I don't like, and adjust the cheat sheet accordingly (you don't really have to do this, but it helps). Then on draft day, I generally take best player available, keeping in mind which positions I still need or have filled already. Starting with the expert consensus gives you a good basis, but changing the rankings based on your personal insights and preferences is what makes drafting fun.
How'd I do for these two teams? Praise be to Allah that they're both money leagues.
Some dummy dropped Mixon so I picked him up.
Someone dropped Snead in my league. I have the WR depth to cover for him, so should I drop Danny Amondola for him?

Different sized leagues pose different problems. Smaller leagues like 8 and 10 man are better teams so it emphasizes your starts & sits. If you fuck those up you lose (fuck you 2016 Drew Brees thanks for torpedoing my playoffs).
Larger leagues like 12-16 team are more difficult to find starting caliber players but when it comes down to it, many times the owners that win simply hit on their lotto ticket of a player as opposed to any skill.
When it boils down to it though, we're all playing a luck-based game irrespective of league size. Just have fun and don't take it so seriously.
>>78028264
>>78028303
Are you kidding? Your team is mediocre as fuck for a 10 man, maybe make it into the playoffs in a 12 man but besides that nah
>>78028411
Ha sure dude
Doing three drafts over the next two days.
Name your top 5 mid-round targets
>>78028608
Get Carlos Hyde. You can thank me later.
>>78026121

Looking for league with two spots open
>>78021897
Bump
I missed my draft this morning.
How fucked am I bros?
>>78029194
Your draft looks great. A lot of eggs in the Tennessee basket, but they're hyped up this year
>>78028046
Your RBs are pretty awful
someone redpill me on rookie rb options. Im in a dynasty league with Shady as my only RB.
(10-team standard scoring)
I have a ridiculous amount of WR depth so I'm trying to unload someone for an RB with potential
I send: Keenan Allen
I receive: Carlos Hyde
fair trade?
>>78029385
I think Christian McCaffrey, Mixon, and Hunt have the most upside. I'm low on Fournette because of his injury history and the fact that the Jags are a dumpster fire.
>>78029443
probably. at market rate Allen is better. But he is overrated Hyde is underrated.
>>77970686
Nah, zeke was a bad pick. He'll end up losing you your season before you can even get started.
>>78029385
as far as rookies go
Cook/Hunt>Fournette>McCaffrey/Mixon>Samaje Perine/Jamaal Williams
>>78029469
>>78029650
cheers guys. I was thinking Fournette is a waste. will consider this when I find out pick order.
>>78029479
The thing is that I have Dez Bryant, Doug Baldwin, and Martavis Bryant, so I feel like Allen might end up wasting away on my bench even if he's having a decent year.

He's projected to get 250 carries and he's a goalie and could be valuable if taken in the right round . They picked him up to take the ball out of bortles hands. He's worth consideration

First year player here. Standard 10 with the 10th pick. How'd I do?
I'm not really sure who to switch up. I'm not too happy with some choices at the moment.
>>78030202
New to Yahoo, played on NFL.com for 2-3 years and ESPN thereafter.
Would you be comfortable dropping Rawls to make a trade work? I won't be playing him at all and I have to drop him because I'll be over the RB roster limit if I get an RB in the trade.
my other RBs are Melvin Gordon, Dalvin Cook, Ty Montgomery, Rob Kelley, and Mike Gillislee

>>78032234
that's either a 6-team league or you're drafting with retards
there is no way that Melvin Gordon should fall all the way to the 20th pick
First pick in 8 man PPR. Bell or DJ? (Or Brown even, was thinking about it)
>>78033023
DJ in all formats.
any leagues drafting tonight need 1 more?
>>78029385
Cooks
>>78033037
Even with the MCL injury last year? Has me nervous about either of them
I hate having this pick, the dropoff is so much worse between the 10-15th players than the 1st to 4th
>>78033068
Bell tore his MCL in 2015 and came back strong
All indications are that he's in solid shape coming into the season, so I'm not bothered by that
>>78033141
I was taking about DJ's torn MCL at the end of last year, up until then he was always healthy so I feel like he's actually riskier
>>78033168
Oh wait I'm retarded, he only sprained it not tore it
In that case DJ seems the best obviously
>>78033168
I know that, I was just saying that Bell had a similar injury and it didn't affect his performance the next year.

RB- C. McCaffery
RB- K. Hunt

WR- Michael Thomas
TE- K. Rudolph

Got a guy offering Demayrius Thomas and Cameron Brate for Michael Crabtree.
1 point ppr. Guy already has Carr, I have Rudolph and Eifert at TE, Winston as backup QB. Nelson, Baldwin, Garcon, and Hopkins at WR.
Thomas gonna be a better option with Denver's shit QB?
>>78033999
looks pretty good
arob at the flex is pretty weak though
>>78034036
I just put it in draft order. Who would you throw there for week 1?
Picked 3rd in a 12team keeper .5PPR, kept Julio in 2 and Gurley in 4. Will be streaming TEs more than likely just waiting on waivers for a stopgap
>>78034067
jizzquiz rodgers
12 team 0.5 ppr. I picked 12th. How'd I do? I know I might need to trade for a TE.
>>78034067
Decker is a PPR machine
Would you guys drop Coleman, Lacy, or Gillislee in a lot league?
Got a trade and I need to drop one.
>>78034189
Of those 3 here and now probably Gilli, although that's probably just cus I don't trust hoodie RBs

>>78034163
stacked team. light on WR's though. drop burkehead and see what you can snag in WR.
dont worry about TE. Doyle is great and has luck throwing it to him. luck digs him.

>>78034492
yeah right. he maaayyyyyyyy miss week 1. thats all.
and Doyle is legit.
>>78034111
why is mcfadden in your flex instead of mixon?
how the fuck do people end up with such stacked teams?

>>78033798
Forgot to add Snake draft
Is there a way to submit your lineup and have it rated? This is my first FF season, and I was too busy this week to really research it. It's a 12-man PPR league and I picked 10. First of all, how'd I do? I went with Vikings D, but what do I do for when it's their bye? I feel pretty confident.
Do I start woodhead or rawls in standard
>>78034841
actually decent team.
Im gonna smash you in that league. but good team none the less.
this is the real team
>>78034248
>>78032895
stacked team.
I would never draft gore myself. but you got plenty on that bench for flex.
>>78034402
come get some
Im taking that league.
>>78035231
whats your bench look like
/a/utist here
I got invited to a fantasy league by some friends of mine
What should I know before the draft tomorrow?
>>78035822
Just do several mock drafts, get an idea of who is getting picked where, and follow that and you won't get laughed at
>>78035822
dont draft a QB early.
just grab a middle of the road QB in the 8th.
Test
This was my team 0.5PPR, I think I did well:
Alshon Jeffery (WR)
Jamison Crowder (WR)
Jeremy Maclin (WR)
Willie Snead (WR)
Ted Ginn (WR)
Marqise Lee (WR)
Melvin Gordon (RB)
DeMarco Murray (RB)
Dalvin Cook (RB)
Ameer Abdullah (RB)
Rex Burkhead (RB)
Alvin Kamara (RB)
Tyler Eifert (TE)
Phil Rivers (QB)
Carolina Panthers (D)
Chris Boswell (K)

12 team league too
I drafted second and took Antonio Brown over Leveon Bell. Was this a mistake?
>>78037414
Yes.
8 man PPR, 1st pick
I'm fucked aren't I?
>>78037466
I'd say 4/10 team.
10 man PPR league.. Drafted 10th, kept Crabtree in the 5th.. Didn't really have anybody else I wanted to keep there.
>>78037466
not really that good for an 8-team league
>>78037498
>>78037506
I hate 1st pick, at no point were there ever valuable RBs at my pick in a snake, I always had to over reach shit
I think if I can trade for a decent RB with some bench WRS I can be okay
>>78037506
Well tbf he asked if he was fucked so we can bully less
>>78037512
>I hate 1st pick

>No good RBs at 1st pick
Johnson and Bell desu senpai
