2016 was dogshit on a controller which is amazing considering the fact that e.g. F1 2013 was perfectly fine to play on a controller yet they somehow managed to fuck it up.

Now that I think about it, 2013 was the last good F1 game. People said 2016 was great. Played it, felt worse than 2013, shit to play on controller, never-ending fucking BORING stuff to do in the career mode (shitty cutscenes, endless test programmes just to get resource points, three fucking practice sessions that were skippable but still) to the point that you end up actually racing maybe like 20% of the time and even then its le tyre management or le alternative strategy suggestions every race

2017 has taken that even further it seems. I might only get it if the handling model has been considerably improved, which is why I am also hoping for an answer.

Do people actually buy these games to "feel like a F1 driver", including all the behind the scenes stuff and all the mundane tests? Like I honestly don't get it, the quali and race is the only exciting part of the whole thing in my opinion.

When you can go to other series & they throw in some sort of dating sim section where you get a super fan who will follow you about. Could end with picking someone in media, someone in backroom staff, a fellow female racer or the super fan.

With all this hype about F1 2017, I feel this is the perfect opportunity to plug my league.

We're aiming to replicate something similar to an F1 league within assetto corsa, with our own custom teams and liveries.

We're currently in between seasons at the moment as we're making last minute league preparations however we aim to start the next season on September 9th @ 2000hrs (BST).

We will hopefully be using the FW31

● Each race will be 175km in distance.

● Qualifying session will be 10 minutes.

● The race calendar will consist of 10 races.

Alonso out is more likely than a McLaren engine switch unless he goes back on saying he won't drive a Honda. Remember the FIA want more engine manufacturers to enter F1 so they won't even let it go to a team vote to decide if they can switch.
Not that it would pass the team vote anyway with all the backmarkers and Renault supplied team's not wanting McLaren to have more power than they do currently with how good their chassis is.
If the Sauber or STR deals didn't fall though it would be a different conversation though it still probably wouldn't pass the team vote.
