MMA guy here. Immediately after the fight I thought that the worst thing was going to be that our sport looked bad because Conor was a pretty incompetent boxer and seemed pretty unprepared, constantly doing shit that he should have known wasn't allowed.
And our sport does look bad now, the audience sure isn't going to get any bigger because of this fight.
And that is the worst thing for MMA. But the worst thing for me personally is seeing just how clueless so many mma fans are...or maybe they're really just UFC fans. Spouting so many stupid comments and stupid ideas, looking like everyone in mma is a fucking dumbass. Conor embarrassed us, and now you fucking idiots are embarrassing us. MMA faggots are so depressed and delusional lmao. Connor was moving to the side and behind Floyd a lot when he ducked down. Floyd wasn't going to risk just standing up while McNugget was behind and open himself up to a nearly guaranteed power shot. That being said, Floyd still walked McNugget down as the shorter, lighter, and older man for 85% of the fight and the ref saved Connor from getting slumped.
