Reposted from the last /fantasy/thread.

Since the old 16 team Mega Spee league has disappeared I've created a new league to replace it.

Scoring is basically the same as last time. 0.5 PPR, standard scoring for rushing, receiving, etc. 10 starters: QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, 2 FLEX, 1 D/ST, 1 K. 6 bench spots and 2 IR bonus spots as well. Teams will also get to keep 2 players after the season.

4 divisions, 4 teams per division, 4 wild cards. Playoffs are Weeks 14-16, one week each. Division winners get the top 4 seeds and the home team receives the tiebreaker.

Email me for an invite. My throwaway email is [email protected] (I made it when I was 13, so fuck off). Snake Draft is 8:00 Eastern on Tuesday, September 5th.

2 spots are taken with 13 available.
>>

Do you know where you are in the draft order? Also, what's the league size and scoring format?

Also, join my league in the above post if you want. I solely created it because >no friends as well.

>I don't like having two QBs unless one of them fell really late
I got Luck in the 10th round, pick 99. Figured it was good value
>Your WRs are middling WR2s with WR1 potential
No argument here
>When did you pick up Gillislee?
Round 8 pick 79
>You went RB RB WR? How did that shake out.
I actually took Baldwin in the 2nd, and got Zeke in the 3rd

And for your team
No major mistakes although I don't like fournette or the jags oline
Also don't like panthers D, they're better than average but play in a division that's loaded with quality offenses
overall still 7/10 should make playoffs

I haven't seen anything about an ankle injury. I know he supposedly had some kind of ankle thing late last season but I also remember that he denied it at the time. Only "injury" I'm aware of is some kind of LASIK surgery he had this summer to improve his vision.

I do agree with you about Cohen tho, he looked great

The idea is that if you look at last season, he actually started producing really well in the second half of the season, after coming back from the injury, which led to the narrative that him and Dak were starting to get on the same page.

Honestly if he hadn't missed the 5 games due to injury he easily would have broken 1000 receiving yards and had 10+ TDs.

From weeks 8-16 he was averaging about 12 points a game in standard scoring which is pretty solid.
>>
Marcus Mariota's last 3 games before the injury last year:

>142 yards per game
>1 TD, 1 INT, 2 Fumbles (1 lost)
>61 passer rating
>39 rushing yards, 0 rushing TDs

I'm not saying you shouldn't draft Mariota, but wew, you'd think as though the whole fantasy community just somehow confused his season with Dak's season last year

Mariota was not nearly consistent enough last year to be an every game QB option. He was good in half his games, and bad in half his games. If you don't plan to platoon him with another decent QB, you are in danger of wrecking your season. He was great at racking up points vs cupcakes, but I absolutely wouldn't start him vs competent defenses.

10 man, 0.2 ppr, 0.1 points per carry. Drafted from the 2 spot. I'm looking to try and get a higher ceiling WR and then I think I'm golden.
>>
>>77735551
would not be surprised at all if one of those bench RBs becomes an RB1 this year, definitely a playoff team
>>
>>77735189
My real concern with Dez is whether he can stay healthy. He is Dak's #1 red zone option, and by all accounts has been absolutely tearing it up in training camp, and backed that up with a very good showing in his 1st preseason game vs a good corner in Vontae Davis.

What really attracts me to Dez though is he has long since stopped relying on speed and hops so much to be effective. That always scares me with speedy athletic receivers because you never know when they'll lose it, and minor nagging injuries can really effect their production.

Dez seems to be a really contentious player in general in fantasy this year. Some people really like him, others are avoiding him because he has to face a lot of top notch corners this year.

Hey guys, 2 spots left in this auction draft league.
I'm also running a standard scoring snake draft league of 12 from last year, we will likely need a few spots filled so for those that might be looking for a team next couple days spots will open soon.
>>
>>77735551
Jesus man, just who exactly did you draft with? A nursery home?

This is fucking stupid. I'm assuming this is a snake draft, and if so, you basically got EVERY single player way below where they should have been drafted. You shouldn't have had this good of a draft even if everyone just turned on the fucking autodraft.

Explain this bullshit.

Edited team names with owner's name still in them.

It's a workmate league and of the 9 other owners, about 5 know more-or-less what they're doing and at least 1 maybe 2 Tacos. With that said, one of the owners drafted Rodgers in the 2nd and Brady in the 3rd. I asked him why he would do something like that. His logic is he will use one as trade bait. While I understand that he at least gave it thought, I asked why not just...you know...draft a good player at that spot?

It still doesn't make any sense to me. You're gonna need to post the other rosters to convince me how it's possible to land that draft in a 10 man league. People drafting Rodgers and Brady early doesn't clarify anything. With the draft you have, there has to be some extraordinary weird shit going on like people drafting kickers and defenses in the 3rd round.

You got a ton of players who normally go much higher than ESPN recommends, somehow much lower than ESPN recommends.

Thought I'd bring this question to /sp/ since some of you are in the league.
My NFL league is debating on PPR points, I originally posted scoring to be .5 PPR, team owners have said we should switch to 1pt. My stance on the issue is that with .5 pts, we are very unlikely to tie, I ran a league last year that had 1pt scoring, wasn't ppr, but we ran into multiple ties that season.

What do you guys think, is .5 pts better to prevent ties, or do you think 1pt is fine?

2 more spots taken today, 11 to go.

Also, any thoughts on whether or not to allow draft picks before the draft begins? I was thinking about letting people bid on their desired spots through PayPal transfers and putting that money into a pot and giving that money to the winner of the league (anybody who doesn't bid has their draft order spot randomized).

Is this a good idea or no?

>>
>>77736964
It's all speculation but I'd prefer to go in with an educated guess.

I'll break it down further for you. Because you like Tucker I'll use him as my example. He was the #2 kicker last year scoring 161 points. Compare him to the #12 kicker: Steven Hauschka who scored 130 points. 161 is greater than 130, yeah. 161 points is about 10 points per game. 130 is 8.1 ppg, a difference of 1.9 ppg. Unless you're in a league greater than 16 players or people are drafting multiple kickers, you will get a kicker who puts up at least 8 points on average (#16 kicker, Mason Crosby, 124/7.75ppg).

If you want to spend extra draft capital to get the "top kicker" for an extra 1.9 points per game, sure. Be aware you can spend literally zero draft capital drafting kicker last and get virtually the same production.

Look at last year's WR total point production on any list.
In my .5 PPR league, players like Devante Parker, Stephan Diggs, and Brandon Marshall all scored less than 160 points.
You and the "experts" care more about "value" than actual points scored.

>>
>>77736888
I'm in this league, would not really care for this. I'd honestly prefer just doing a randomized league, I don't care too much for strangers holding my money. Also, 16 teams is an awful lot, is it possible to knock it down to 12-14?

>>
>>77737296

Commis here. Yeah I think I'm going to nix the whole "pay for position" part and we'll just pay >for free. Maybe if I knew everyone in the league we could do that, but for here I'll just keep it simple.

I think we'll just stick with randomized as well, but since it's a keeper league I can set the draft order by record for next year and I'll open it up for draft pick trading.

We had that available in the last Mega league and it was really fun to move around in the draft and load up on different points in the draft.

This year I've been finding it a LOT easier to get RB depth after the first 2 rounds than WR depth. Even the super risky but tempting upside guys like Pryor and Cooks are occasionally getting nabbed in the 2nd.

If you don't grab a WR in the first 2 rounds, you can find yourself having to choose between guys like Allen Robinson, DeAndre Hopkins, or Keenan Allen to be your WR1.

This is probably the first year ever where I would legitimately consider drafting WR/WR a better option in most cases than RB/RB

No matter how far he falls or how tempting it is to pick him, I am staying clear away from this pick.

Rodgers strikes me as a guy who is really petty and would intentionally avoid throwing to him if Bennett got on his nerves, which I completely expect Bennett to do.

Brady and Bennett can mesh fine because Brady wouldnt give a single fuck if he was throwing to Hitler and Stalin as long as it helps win games. Bennett and Rodgers though seem like a disastrous collision of egos waiting to happen.

Oh no doubt WR/RB or RB/WR are the best options overall, but you are completely rolling the dice on RBs after Johnson and Bell anyway, so you could be justified in picking 2 comfortably elite WRs in the first two rounds, then throwing out a wide net on a bunch of high risk high reward running backs for several rounds like McCaffery, Derrick Henry, Dalvin Cook, etc... who are usually easy to get after the 2nd.

Also, another strategy I like is grabbing Zeke in the early 3rd, and McFadden much later on which combined I would say is easily a RB1, so you could potentially have something like Antonio Brown - T.Y. Hilton - Zeke/McFadden with your 1st 3 picks. With that kind of security at 3 positions, I would just go crazy on picking the unproven high risk/high upside RBs for several rounds and hope I strike gold.

Let's say you're sitting there with the chance to draft Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, Doug Baldwin, and Michael Crabtree through 4 rounds

Do you completely forfeit taking a RB that long if you continually find yourself not liking any of the RBs available every time your pick is up for the sheer value of having that much value at WR, and just try and trade for ones you like after the draft?
>>
>>77740492
Pickin 9th in a 12-man PPR here....

I dig this strategy a lot... think I can pull it off with 9/16/33 and for Freeman/Michael Thomas/Zeke? I don't see him lasting that long..
>>
>>77736329
Uh, dad, you might want to check out Boldin's status.
>>
>>77740853

I've never been much of a fan of counting on trades, at least with early round picks. You'll hardly ever get an equivalent value trade for someone you want, at least based on where they're typically drafted. Good trade fodder seems to come from hitting on later round picks. But if you can start 4 receivers a week that might not be a bad plan, especially if you can get someone like Doug Martin later on and troll waivers well.
>>
>>77740867
You can typically bet that nobody is gonna take Zeke until the third, but as soon as the 3rd round begins, he immediately becomes really really enticing for the first few drafters that round.

The first 2 guys in the 3rd round will probably pass on Zeke because they got Bell and Johnson, but the 3rd, 4th, and 5th guys are almost certainly gonna want him because they took WRs in the first round. It's unlikely it gets past them.

I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have at least a top 5 pick in a 12 man league. There is also a nice backup option to this strategy sometimes if Zeke gets picked, Murray will occasionally slide that far and you could grab Murray and then Henry later which is also a comfortable RB1 option.

>tfw Devonta/DeMarco/T.Y. core

I almost like that more than getting Zeke. Almost.

That sounds horrible. Who were your keepers then? I don't see a single first or 2nd, or even 3rd round tier player on your entire roster who isn't a rookie. Brees and Crowder? CJ Anderson?

You look like an extreme Saints homer.
>>
>>77741240
i started the season 0-5 so i sold wholesale, definitely fucked my team but was worth it because i only had 1 more year of eligibility on both players
not a saints fan, they have an easy schedule this year so i went for it. scooped up as many young guys as possible for keepers next year. trust the process
>>
Went second in my 12 player workplace fantasy draft. Here were the top 12 picks

1. Le'Von Bell
2. David Johnson* (Me)
3. Antonio Brown
4. Matt Ryan
5. Gronk
6. Brandin Cooks
7. Marshawn Lynch
8. Aaron Rodgers
9. Tom Brady
10. Andrew Luck
11. Beckam Jr
12. Julio Jones

I'd bet any money I fucking miss the playoffs in this league because every year I end up getting cucked.

So far I took
2. David Johnson
23. Dez Bryant (Was a fucking reach at 22 but I am confident he will be decent, plus if he has ONE good game he becomes easy trade bait in my league since there are two Cowboys fans)
26. Amari Cooper

>Tfw no WR1s left by the time it got back to me
>Tfw the only T2 QB left is Kirk Cousins
>Some of the decent T3 QBs got taken already
>There will be slim pickins for WR2/RB2 and QB1 by the time it snakes back to me
>We play 1QB-2RB-2WR-1TE-1 Flex(RB/WR/TE)-1DEF-1K

I fucking hate drafting in the top 5. I always end up with one good player who gets hurt and a bunch of people I should not have reached for. I have no idea what I want to do for a QB. I'd usually wait till 6-7 but with half them off the board I might try and grab one in RD4/RD5 (Depending on who is left). I am targeting Derek Carr (Mostly because they have the shittest defense and always end up in shootouts, and they have the easiest strength of schedule for QBs this year) or Dak
>>
>>77741326
I mean, that would make sense if this was like a 6+ keeper league or something, but you only get to keep 2 players, so why would you turnover your entire roster for unproven young possible upside players? 2 keeper leagues are totally possible to win even if you don't have a single player really worth keeping from the year before.

Dez and Evans would have been great keepers. Evans is at least a top 8 player in a normal draft, and Bryant is roughly top 16 or so, and neither is expected to decline any time soon. You didn't even trade them for 1st rounders.
>>
>>77741487
Dude, the 2nd pick in the draft is awesome this year.

>Johnson - Dez - Amari Cooper

That is a great start. If people are taking QBs way too early, that is a good thing. Just be patient. Worse that can happen is you need to make a platoon which isn't that bad. You got an RB1 and 2 WR1s through three rounds. I would love to have that through 3 rounds. Do not reach for a QB.

Brady spreads it around, and likes to go underneath more than over the top. His arm strength has declined a bit, and it could decline more this year.

He seemingly never lives up to fantasy expectations, and I don't see Watson as much if any upgrade over Savage or Osweiler. Might even see less passes this year because Watson likes to run.

>Devonte Adams
Better question is, why the fuck is he so low? Super productive last year, only 24, was better at the end of the season than early, and Jordy is on the wrong side of 30.

>Terrelle Pryor
Super sexy pick. Was productive in the trash fire that is Cleveland, and now will have Kirk throwing to him.

Hey guys, first time doing FF, honestly don't even watch football that much, just did a bit of research before the draft and this is what I ended up with (10 man league)

Somebody suggested that I look up available free agents and see who's good but I'm not sure what to go off of really other than projected points

The top five for RB and WR free agents (respectively) in my league right now are:

1.Terrance West/Rishard Matthews
2.Darren Sproles/Mike Wallace
3.Jerick McKinnon/Brandon LaFell
4.Ryan Matthews/Cole Beasley
5.Chris Thompson/Kenny Stills

Which guys off my roster should I be looking to replace? Joe Williams doesn't seem great based on his projected points but I'm not sure how big of a factor that is really. Do I generally just want to pick from the top of the list or are there other things to consider?
>>
>>77742526
>spending so much draft capital on Brees/Brady
>Hopkins is your top WR
You are already dead. Try to trade off one of your QBs for a WR that doesn't suck ass
>>
>>77742460
I mean talk about spreading the ball around the redskins have Jordan Reed, Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson, Chris Thompson. Who is to say that Terrell Pryor only had such a good year souly because he was the only viable target on that team? If I am taking Terrell Pryor or Crabtree as my wr1 I may as well wait til round 4 to select a wr1 and just grab like Lamar Miller and a top 3 qb.
>>
>>77742526
Sorry, but your draft is already really hard to fix. It's not even interestingly bad, it's bad in the way that there are a lot of players on your team who could do well, but still aren't good trade bait. You basically have to ride this and hope you win.

You will learn a lot from fantasy this year and why most of the players you have were highely recommended by the ESPN draft board, but aren't good players to have and why they fell well below their projected ranking.

Pryor looks like an actual WR1 who a QBs can pass to as an easy bailout.

Doctson did fuck all in his first year. Crowder is alright, but more or less looks like a #2 who benefits from playing in a nice offense. Reed is only a decent-ish TE.

Pyror attracted double teams in Cleveland. He could realistically benefit from playing in an offense where other WRs can take some heat off him.

>>
>>77743869
You are getting straight up abused by the people in your league. I don't know your relationship to them, but they are fucked you over with the Dez and Evans trades.

Evans especially should have a ton of value at the point in which you said he traded him (Starting 0-5). Evans was wrecking the league. You should have had leverage to extort people and if they didn't give you what you wanted, tell them to fuck off.

If you don't want my help that's fine, but you should do a little research and try and get better because your roster is really fucking bad. Irrationally bad, like I don't even understand how you made those picks. Everyone else in the league has a roster that is way better than yours.

I wish you luck, but it isn't hard to tell that everyone in your league views you as a sucker.

get a load of this fucking retard and then trying to rationalize this

look at this you dope: you traded mike evans and bryant for 2nd and 3rd round picks. but those weren't normal 2nd and 3rd rounders, they were after keepers, so you traded them for minimum the #24 and #36 overall picks after two rounds of keepers go through

What, did you just trade them for that because you weren't going to
>>
>>77744807
Your wrs have very high potential your starting RBs are decent because of Jordan Howard potential your QBs are fucking garbage and your TE is pretty bad. I'd say let someone like Kelvin Benjamin have a meme game with 3 tds's then trade him out right to someone with good qbs and bad wrs. Also those Literally Whos that your hoping are going to develop I to a good starting qb are not going to happen. Instead if available grab Deshaun Watson and Mitch Trubisky. Also post the waiver.

Grab Cameron Brate Taylor Gabriel and Chris Thompson and drop 3 of those extra qbs
>>
>>77745017
I like Brate, but Gabriel was extremely reliant on a long catch and was barely relevant after week 8.

What would Thompson do other than likely sit on my bench? Trade bait? I'm loaded at RB.

I grabbed those QBs because all of them will start at one point this year, Mahomes may be the lone one unless Smith gets hurt. Henne and Bortles looked like dogshit so far. QBs in this league have super high value, most teams only carry 3 tops, some only run with two. I figure I won't be competitive, so with those I can probably score some 2nd rounders or better in mid-season trades.
>>
>>77745051

I still have Melvin Gordon, Brandin Cooks, and DeAndre Hopkins. Should I keep one of them instead or did I do right?
>>
>>77748813
Get Mariota (my preference) or Cousins.
>>
>>77748841
I know that was my argument for the 2 QB. It's senseless. I basically got what I wanted and anyone who is delusional enough to not play a QB thanks they won the battle. We did lower points for passing touchdowns though. So QBs don't blaze trails like in some leagues.
>>
>>77748836
what do you mean by "full" 2 QB league? its not like that's the standard setting
>>
>>77748867
I almost would have kept Gordon over Prescott just because in one QB leagues it's easy to pick up a respectable QB. Usually. Running backs are way more valuable. And WRs. Cooks may have been a decent keep
>>
>>77748867
Gordon is way more valuable than Prescott

thoughts on this team? picked at 10th, 11th in a 10 man snake

kind of a potato draft, Gronk went in the 1st, lots of quarterbacks taken in the 2nd and 3rd.
>>
>>77748867
Drop Dak, keep Gordon
>>
>>77748881
I mean that half the league wanted a 1 QB, standard God blessed missionary league and the other half wanted to do 2 QBs. One guy suggested a super flex that way those who couldn't find a suitable 2nd quarterback could plug someone else in. Because that was the m their argument, that there weren't enough good quarterbacks.

It's not a matter of how good Dak will be

The difference is that Gordon has 1st round value and Dak has 7th/8th round value. You can keep Gordon and get another QB in the 7th round.

By 50, Rodgers, Brady, and Brees will all likely be gone. The situation obviously depends on how mongo your opponents are but at 71 I would imagine that people like Cousins, Mariota, Winston, Dak, and Carr will all still be on the board.

There's nothing wrong with taking advantage of a QB frenzy to add greater depth to your RB and WR corps and settling for a Matt Stafford or Andy Dalton.
>>
>>77749443
That's what I might do.
Right now I have David Johnson/Dez Bryant/Amari Cooper.

Praying Dalvin Cook falls to me, then going to take either Bilal Powell or Kelvin Benjamin. If I miss those maybe Stephon Diggs or Joe Mixon.

Most of these people went full mongo, there are probably 5 out of the 12 who are playing well.

>>
>>77750452
If Julio or Brown are there, take them obviously. I wasn't super high on OBJ this year even before the injury, and now it's even harder to think who I would pick there.

5th is a really shitty fucking spot. Go with Melvin Gordon I guess, and pick Thomas, Dez, or Hilton with the 2nd pick.

Hows my fantasy team looking, 12 team 1/2 PPR, keeping in mind we drafted before week 1 of preseason

since then I've dropped Alfred Morris for McFadden, dropped Robert Woods for Kupp, and dropped Robert Turbin for Tarik Cohen because Colts generally look like a dumpsterfire until Luck returns and their running game is likely going to be garbage until Gore is injured
>>
>>77753816
They are 1a & 1b, both are great 1st overall picks. WITH THAT SAID, I believe that DJ is a safer pick. He doesn't have the injury risk, the "wear on the tires" from the many many carries he's had, or a suspension history like Bell.

Bell is the focal point of what could be the best offense in the NFL this year. The PIT offense runs through Bell. DJ is likely more talented individually but ARI's offense can't hold a candle to PIT's.

If you're risk averse like me, go DJ.

I have pick 6 in my league. What seems to be falling my way is OBJ in most mocks, although my league is unpredictable. How stupid am I if I pick Mike Evans over Odell? Bell had a higher points per game average last season, despite only scoring 9 total touchdowns. Johnson scored TWENTY touchdowns last year, which is going to regress to the mean at least a little bit.

Yeah my strat was to get 2 elite WRs (I think Dez will have a huge year personally) and then focus mainly on RBs. I'm pretty happy with it, got a lot of players that I was hoping to get, especially the underrated (imo) RBs like CJ Anderson and Doug Martin.
>>
>>77762342
I'm with you on CJ, I think he is criminally underrated this year. That's okay though because it means you can get him in like the 5th to 7th round. Sure he is injury-prone but he is the focal point on an offense with a garbo QB and a top-5 defense. I'll take that value thanksverymuch.

Which back would you prefer if you held the 9th? Devonta Freeman or Melvin Gordon? I'm leaning Freeman because it's PPR, but I'm nervous about Coleman vulturing some of his receptions. You'll never get DJ and Bell, it'll cost you your entire team.

Early rounds try to drag money out of people by nominating people like Gronk, or Rodgers in 1 or 2. Later rounds nominate position players right below the one you want. Let others nominate your actual picks.

Mock auction drafts are useless because everyone leaves and you can just trick auto draft into filling rosters with $4 players in the first 6 rounds.
>>
>>77767790
worth the reach even if he doesn't. Take him in the second and do a RB/RB draft. There are plenty of serviceable RB2 in rounds 7,8,9
>>
>>77772634
he might not even serve his suspension this year. Zeke is going to go full Brady on this. Meaning he will go to court lose and serve the 6 games next season.

He's a top 3 QB so he will fetch value. If you want to retain him and start him then sure that's fine too. I just don't like spending draft capital (early round picks) on QBs or TEs. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and guess you took him in the 5th?

So my 12 team draft is this weekend and I'm position #10, snake style.

Looks like my options are gonna be guys like Jordy, Murray, Jordan Howard, Gurley, Melvin Gordon, AJ Green, and Gronk.

Any advice for pick #10? I want to pick Jordy if he's available, and I'm thinking Gronk for 2nd round but then my RBs might be limited...
>>
>>77775757
I'm high on Jordan Howard. Fuck Gronk unless you want your season to hinge on a weekly game of Russian roulette
>>

Rich get richer I guess. I almost feel bad, but then again this was the guy that convinced me to take Gurley off his hands early last season, so this evens it out.

BREHS POST HARDER WE GOTTA GET DAT APPROACHING GET
>>
>>77775757

I drafted there last weekend, RB is a wasteland later on so I'd consider it mandatory to get one early. I picked Murray in the first and somehow had Green fall to me in the second, so I'm pleased with how that shook out. If you take Murray you pretty much have to take Derrick Henry later on, but I think it's worth it to buy into one of the best rushing offenses in the league, and it wouldn't surprise me if they both end up startable at the same time during bye weeks. Seems like a much more stable situation to buy into than whatever Ajayi or Howard are doing. Otherwise I would have been happy taking Green in the first round regardless, and I'd consider Jordy worthwhile also. Gronk is always a gamble and if you're feeling like taking some chances I think you'd be better off using a later round pick on Jordan Reed, as the risk/reward is pretty similar.
>>
>>77775989
Alright thanks for the help, I'll pick up an RB for sure. I'm a little worried about Murray's age tho and he kinda fell off in the second half of last season...

Gronk is a gamble for sure and I'm reconsidering picking him.

Okay, enough posts on this thread about who should be picked up. Who should NOT be picked up?
>>
>>77775989
not him but youre right with Murray and TEN. their oline is elite and offense is good as is their strength of schedule. This is a situation like Murray was in in DAL when he ran for 2000 yds. he had a great oline and easy SOS. The fact is, Murray is old, overused, and has a talented rookie be breathing down his neck. if by injury or outworked by Henry, Murray will not be starter in late season. any RB can flourish in this offense and chances are Henry will be top dog at some point
>>
>>77776093
Gordon
Murray
Freeman
Howard
Crowell
Gurley
Ajayi
>>
>>77776165
I do not like Howard this year. I've said it before and I'll repeat: the situation is too similar to Gurley's situation from 2015 to 2016. CHI's offense is better than STL/LAR's but marginally so. He is a bust waiting to happen and I don't want to burn a late 1st or early 2nd for him.

>>77776183
Jordan Howard, Jordan Reed, any QB (before the 5th), Doug Baldwin, almost saying no to Shady because the Bills are tanking, DeAndre Hopkins, Ty Montgomery, Blount, the entire Seahawks backfield, Luck.
>>
>>77776284
how come you don't like Montgomery?
>>
>>77776165
not them (rankings OP) but Howard will be good. hell safely finish as a #5-10 rb given the great online in front of him and a decent rookie QB. he gets a lot of carries, had a phenomenal last 5 games, and is very talented. As for the other guys, most have shitty lines, hard schedules, ass QB, and competition. To me, Freeman and Howard are safest picks and I like Crowell given his elite online, lack of competition, and workload but CLE is shit and face the AFC North defenses.
>>
>>77776183
Anyone on the Colts, Seahawks, or Jaguars. I was going to say Jets but then remembered Powell might be serviceable.
>>
>>77776315
i completely agree with all of this
>>
>>77776305
It's not that I don't like his talent but I am concerned he is going to become the lead back after a season where he only tallied 77 total running back carries. RB is notoriously hard on players, either GB will overwork him and he will either get hurt or not play well, or they will split his carries with someone else, capping his upside.

He is a decent RB2 in ppr though I just don't like how high his ADP is and how risky he is as essentially a first year RB.
>>
>>77776081

That's true, but that's why I consider it imperative to get Henry also in case Murray is ineffective or dies, since it pretty much cements your RB1 spot for the season between the two of them. The Titans line is solid and Mariota is at least competent enough to prevent constant 8 mans. Ajayis line is already down to the nubs at guard and Pouncey will probably go down fast, to say nothing of Cutler, and Howard strikes me as a one year wonder on a bad team type like Zac Stacy a couple years ago. Fournette is also an option but his QB situation is a dumpster fire and his ankle is having persistent problems from college. There's a lot of question marks all around but I'd consider the Titans runners floor and ceiling higher than the other RB situations if you're picking at the end of the first.
>>
Are there any other "if you take X you must take Y" combinations like Murray/Henry?

These would be good to know so I can potentially fuck over my friends in the later rounds.
>>
>>77776622
Zeke & Run DMC
Doug Martin 7 Jaquizz Rogers
>>
>>77776663
Alright cool.

What round will Zeke go do you think, and why would anyone take him? I guess DMC has major upside in his absence?

Martin and Rogers is a good one too, thanks
>>
>>77776622

I used my last pick on Johnathan Williams, he's Shady's handcuff and stepping into Gillislee's former position that scored something like 8 touchdowns last year. Considering Shady is getting up in years and has a ton of touches on him the injury risk is notable. A lot of handcuff situations aren't as clear cut as that or the Titans though.
>>
>>77776774
>What round will Zeke go do you think
It depends who you're playing with, of course. Early-mid 2nd round is likely if you're just playing with average Joes.
>and why would anyone take him
Did you watch a game of football last year
>>
Any players that are overrated/ranked higher than they should be?
>>
>>77776851
Yes I know Zeke is a maniac but I'm talking about his suspension. It's like for 6 or 7 games as of right now, do you think it will be reduced or are people just gonna wait half of the season for their pick to play?

>>
>>77740853

Ha, I feel you man.. I had a draft the other night...I accidently went WR-WR-WR (Standard yahoo league must start 3wr and 2rb's)

Picking 4th sucks. I ended up with Julio, Baldwin, and TY with my first 3 picks.

QB: Cam
WR: Julio, Baldwin, TY Bench: Snead
RB: Mixon, Ware Bench: Ingram, Doug Martin, Quiz, Perine, J Hill
TE: Rudolph

What do you guys think? DId i fuck myself up the ass with my RB core?
>>
>>77778724
>7 rbs
But why
>>
>>77778724

Just to add, I passed on Gurley, Miller, and Fournette. I like Gurley but I have him in another league and cant risk him tanking me in two leagues.

I wanted to get Crow but he got taken right before me so I went with TY. Gronk also got taken early 2nd before Baldwin. The RBs in the mid 2nd early 3rd are really risky... I dunno...
>>
>>77778743
What you mean why? Because I need some upside RBs after passing on them in the first 3 rounds.. I dont draft backup QB or TE... only RB and WR on my bench.
>>
Does your league have a flex position? What positions is It?

My 12 team league is W/TE but people are bitching about TE and want to replace it with RB.

I'm not sure I like the idea of 3 RBs on a team...thoughts?
>>
Im in standard..must start 3 WR and 2 RBs and 1 TE and 1 QB and K and DEF.

The only flex leagues i know of are the common ones of 2 WR.. 2 RB.. and a Flex of your choice of WR/RB/TE...personnally i hate flex leagues and stick to traditional standard 3wr/2rb leagues
>>
>>77778958
2 RB/2 WR/1 FLEX is much better imo, you can choose to go heavy on RBs or heavy on WRs (or even 2 TE)

why do you like 3 WR? im honestly just curious

Now that I think about it that is a lot of WR...should I ask commissioner to replace a WR for flex?

the flex should at least be RB/WR/TE, if you're going to require 3 WR
>>
thou shalt not sleep on Cooper Kupp
>>
>>77779106
Yeah I agree, too WR heavy otherwise.

I convinced him to drop a WR position but he's keeping the flex at WR/HE.

2WR/2RB/TE with Flex WR/TE (lol no 3rd RB)

12-team, standard

I feel like I did really well, thoughts? WR is a little weak but I feel like I have a shitload of RB depth, especially with the Martin/McFadden combo. And I think I did better than I thought I would at QB/TE

>>77779147
Ah bro Don't tell me that lol .. I mean I fucked up..4th overall is a shit hole to pick in.. I wanted Freeman but couldn't pick him over Julio so i went Julio. then Baldwin. then Hilton. The Rbs in that range I didn't like. Gronk and Rodgers were also taken. So I went with TY over Brandin Cooks. Lamar Miller and D. Cook were still available.

But Luck is on track to play and him and TY have that special bond and long ball connection. Luck is a great QB. Colts are playing possum. He will be ready Week 1.

Guess it would be useful to mote that he's weaker at starting WR (Jeffery/A. Robinson/Marshall as his flex) than RB (Bell/Beast Mode), but his only other RB is Chris Thompson...
>>
>>77788719
>should I offer anything to upgrade at QB
Hell fucking no. Cousins is completely fine and you should just let the dumb fucker watch his season end in flames before it even begins.
>>
>>77788804
That's what I thought.

This is his third year in a row drafting 1st overall and he always hypes his team up, and usually always takes Rodgers/Brees/Brady way early and the best defense saying that "it's not a reach, man"

I haven't seen him win yet.
>>
>>77788750
The auction league up top of thread still needs teams, just 2 more to go. I'll have 3 spots likely open in my standard/snake 12 man league I hosted last year in a couple days, waiting to see if those last 3 are MIA or not.
>>
Well how did I do? 12 man league.

QB: Ben Roethlisberger
WR:OBJ
WR:Golden Tate
WR:Julian Edelman
RB:Ezekiel Elliot
RB:Dalvin Cook
TE:Jimmy Graham
K: Brandon McManus
Def: NYG
Bench:
Darren McFadden
Ameer Abdullah
Jonathan Stewart
Jeremy Maclin
Zay Jones
Joe Flacco
>>
>>77789393
Taking 2 qbs is a waste and your season is at the mercy of Dalvin Cook not being a shitter like he was in the Seahawks game. Best of luck
>>
Who should I take at 5?
>>
tfw having leveon and julio in a money league

nothing like having two high end players with injury history to make you shit yourself all season
>>
>>77789464
Yeah the only reason I took two was because everyone else seemed to be taking two. Literally the best QB on waiver right now is Cutler.
>>
>>77789958
What the fuck is this a 4 man league or some shit?
>>
Is there a cheap 5-10$ league I can join? I like playing FF but most people end up quitting in casual leagues.
>>
>>77790065

10 man, guy who had julio is projected to go winless and put julio up to fix his team.

i had to give up dez, pryor, and ty monty.

im scrambling to get a WR3 but im trying to convince myself i didnt give up top much
>>
>>77790270

im running a 12 man team, its a public league and theres only 4 people so far, doesnt draft for another two weeks

$25 buy in tho, $250 for the winner

>but im trying to convince myself i didnt give up top much
You gave up too much.
>>
>>77790270
Don't join money leagues with people you don't know. The commish usually cheats,
>>
>>77790664

i know fucker I said im TRYING to convince myself
>>
How many players do you get on your roster, and how many on your bench?

My current league is 1QB/2WR/2RB/TE/K/DEF and a flex of WR/TE for a total of 9 and 7 bench.

Is 7 bench too much? Is standard bench 6?
>>
>>77791187
tell commish to change FLEX to RB/WR/TE
>>
POST YOUR SLEEPER OF THE YEAR
>DERRICK HENRY
>>
>>77791187
we also use 9 starters and 7 bench players in my league, seems okay to me but we are switching from 10 to 12 teams this year so I'm wondering if that will cause issues

i do agree with this guy though
>>77791242
>>
>>77791242
I don't think I like the idea of a 3RB league, honestly...then everyone drafts RB heavy and that doesn't sound fun.
>>
>>77791242
It makes the waiver that much more enticing when a starting RB goes down and backup is available. It requires a lot more knowledge to win considering RBs get injured all the time and picking one up/keeping on bench can win you a season (see Asiata). if your shits PPR too you must be 12 and not worth my time.
>>
>>77791483
Why are you implying that non-PPR formats are superior to PPR formats?
>>
>>77791410
it's not a 3RB league, it's the option of Having a RB in FLEX if your WR/TE depth sucks or they're on bye. We did WR/TE one year and it was gay. Just change your rosters to 0RB if you don't want that extra competitive excitement. PPR sucks dick and doesn't increase difficulty/fun. I'm telling you, standard with RB/WR/TE flex. granted, its not a circlejerk on Sundays every time Deshawn Tyrone Jenkins-Jefferson catches a 80yd bomb for 50 points but it makes every play matter
>>
>>77791537
yes. standard master race. Thank me later
>>
>>77791271
I think Andy Dalton will have another 2015. Gonna reach for him in the late rounds.

Also Kenny Golladay
>>
>>77791571
It's 0.5 PPR and I'm telling you that 3WRs is superious to 3RB thank you for your aggressive input
>>
>>77791271
not really a "sleeper" but I think CJ Anderson is going to have borderline RB1 numbers

for a legit sleeper, Jeremy Maclin. He's the best receiver on that team now and was apparently slowed down by a groin injury for a good part of last season. Going in the 8th round but he's easily capable of being a WR2
>>
>>77791689
we use the standard RB/WR/TE flex in my league and I'd say most weeks people use WRs. It's just nice to have the option for a 3rd RB if you have 3 on your roster that are putting up points.
>>
>>77791581
Literally how is it better? How does standard require more knowledge than PPR? If anything PPR requires more knowledge, such as if a back is also a teams pass catching back.
>>
>>77789393
Any other opinions? I felt like I built a pretty solid team. And if Zeke gets his suspension reduced, or hell if he sues and an injunction is filed, then my team looks pretty nasty.
>>
>>77791793
You're pretty light at RB and if Cook or Abdullah doesn't pan out then you're kinda fucked for your RB2. Zeke/McFadden combo is nice though and obviously your WRs are strong

I don't like having 2 QBs though, personally. I'd rather have that extra spot to play around with on the waiver wire.

7/10
>>
>>77789464
Dalvin didn't do that bad against the Seahawks though....

>>77789464
>>77792028
Not the original anon you guys are replying to, but Cook is my RB2 as well. Is it really that likely he busts? I know its the preseason, but he has been pretty solid thus far...
>>
>>77792182
I'm not saying it's "likely" that he busts, but rookie RBs are always a gamble, especially when you don't have many other options.

The leagues undisputed top handcuff is hardly a sleeper, he's merely held back by Murray's health and everyone knows it

My top sleeper is Cooper Kupp, Jared Goff's favorite target in a new and vastly improved offensive system, seems to always find ways to get open, and even with Sammy Watkins in the lineup week two he still fed on 6 receptions for 70 yards and a TD on like one or two drives, he went UDFA when my league drafted so he should still be in the double digit rounds when the rest of you draft

>>
>>77791271
Maclin. Everyone has written him off but he will be a high end WR2 to low end WR1. Getting him in the...8th? 9th? 10th? Basically free.

Its a shame you don't get points for DPI, otherwise any WR playing for Flacco would be a must start.
>>
>>77796491
Fucking this.

He's on all 5 of my teams this year, that's how confident I am that he will be top end WR2 territory.

My 16-team keeper league is fucking brutal. This is top available players. Who do I pick with 6th overall?
>>
>>77801496
I'd go with Ajayi or Howard. Personally I like Howard but you could make an argument for both.
>>
>>77801532
These are top available for everyone. I'd obviously gladly take Howard or Ajayi if they somehow make it to the 6th pick but they won't. They're going top 2 for sure. After them it's less obvious who to pick.
>>
>>77801567
Oh god, okay. Misinterpreted your post.

I guess Hyde? He's getting all the first-team RB work in the preseason and despite his mediocre production, you at least have guaranteed touches with him. Demaryius Thomas would also be okay I guess. Depending on who's gone, I would even consider Ty Montgomery.
>>
>>77801496
Pryor's poised to have a monster of a season. I'm huge on him this year.
>>
Is Rudolph/McFuckdick a good trade for Olsen? Olsen owner has Zeke but was also retarded enough to offer Alshon for OBJ.

My plan is to get Olsen then trade for Kelce and Henry since I have Demarcbro
>>
any ideas on WRs/RBs to draft in the 10th or later rounds?
>>
>>77802292
Chris Conley
>>
>>77801496
McCaffery if he's there. He's going to end up a top 5 RB and I can't believe he's been dropping to rd 3

>>77802292
Cooper Kupp
>>
>>77796564

my lineup turned from

QB-Wilson
WR-Dez, Cooks, Pyror
RB-Bell, Cook
TE-Eifert

to

QB-Wilson
WR-Julio, Cooks, Marvin Jones Jr
RB-Bell, Cook
TE-Walker

Monty was going to be riding the bench all season, and i can still swap D. Henry, Kareem Hunt, Gillslee/Burkhead into a low-end WR1 once injuries start happening.

I should be okay.
