Nowadays 100 mill is worth spending for a top club to a player who is considered to be their main starter for a few years.
United have a 6-8 i dont even know what position he is supposed to play for another 10 years unless some other big team like Barcelona - PSG - come and spend the same amount of money on him or more.
It's much better than trying every damn season and spending 30,30,30,30 in players hoping they ll fit in the team and eventually become a great fit. In total , it ends up being more money to be fair.
