The rehydration clause has nothing to do with the fight contract itself, the rehydration clause is as a result of Golovkin being the IBF champion. The IBF requires fighters to not weigh more than 10 lbs over the limit during the morning of the fight.

Both of them have to follow this rule if they want to fight for the IBF title, and Golovkin's not going to come in weight drained for following this rule, he's been doing this since he took the title from Lemieux 4 fights ago.
Worst case scenario is that Canelo ignores the rule and rehydrates above 10lbs anyways like Jacobs did.

The Chris Van Heerden sparring shows what he's like, he'll let his hands go and has a decent snap to his punches. He has the power to back people up and his straight left his good.
