Like you say because there might be more pressure on passing that they will win less games which is wishful thinking. The secondary last year was full of mediocre players being coached up by a good secondary coach, and the rookies are already looking to be better than last years group. The Cowboys defensive front 7 is already one of the best in the league and that was without Jaylon Smith, they were quietly middle of the road in sacks without a true pass rush player and now they have Taco. The Cowboys secondary is already on the rise and trending upward each week. There is practically no question marks for this team. Hell Zeke could win his appeal, the appeal could go on all season and not go into effect until next year.

The only argument of merit people have against the Cowboys is they will have a harder schedule and the Cowboys won't have as many wins as last year, which I agree with because it's hard to get 13 wins let alone 12 wins. And even if Zeke does get suspended the Cowboys have two other previous 1k yard rushers behind him.

But that doesn't mean that because Zeke is gone that the offense falls apart. Dak could do even better if he throws more. The offense may not be as dynamic without Zeke, but it will operate completely fine with a year wiser Dak and with pretty good back up RBs

There were lots of missed opportunities for the Cowboys that game, and Cowboys at the time had no playmakers in the secondary which was easy for a QB like Rodgers to exploit. But Dak proved he is a great QB when the offense HAS to pass when the run game is taken away. There is no reason to think the offense will falter enough without Zeke to have Dak collapse. They could go 8-8 and Dak could have an MVP year, their win total has absolutely no bearing on how well Dak would do. But we are getting besides the point. Even with the zeke suspension based on what Dak has shown last year there is no reason to think he will regress when he actually gets a full training camp playing with the 1st team. You can make a point the Cowboys won't win many games with Zeke suspended but with a bigger workload Dak could have better stats in those weeks he's gone than when he comes back.
