Sumo

Mhz Networks split off a standalone channel for NHK, so I've been able to catch Sumo events occasionally. I liked what I watched, although the matches are really short with the initial contact usually establishing momentum of victory.

I saw a small documentary about I think a kiwi learning Sumo and his training and first match in Japan, it was interesting. He had an interesting balance between the discipline of training and a laid back go-with-the-flow philosophy.

it's interesting that the best sumo wrestlers are never japanese.
