This. Sanders had a terrible o line and did better.

David johnson. Leveon bell. Shady mccoy. Demarco murray. Todd gurley. Jay ajayi. Melvin gordon. Did i forget anyone?

Lynch is back. Charles based on legacy. Other than that good list

I was just doing backs in 2017. If we include legacy that list grows to well over 100

Sanders certainly never had the lines Smith had, but it's mostly a myth he had awful lines. He had Lomas Brown and Kevin Glover most of his career, two of the better players at their position in the era. Outside of that it was pretty poor though.

>Jay ajayi
>Melvin gordon
If you're going to bait don't make it so obvious

We all know that Emmitt had significant O-line help, but none of these guys are in his league. He's still top 10-15 all time. He made a lot of guys miss for sure. You also can't discount his durability. The only two recent guys in that same realm are Lynch and Peterson.

>smith has more rushing yards, touchdowns, AND a SB MVP
When will this meme die?

Smith was ultra durable for a RB the likes of which have never been seen before.
He wasn't especially special or anything, he just kept going and going well past the expiration date for a RB, which is 30.
Sanders was better by far and he did it in half the years. Smith was just a decently good back that kept going
