Nordin and Robbins are technically unproven as they've never played a down but seeing Nordin knock in 52 yarders with 10 to spare in the spring game and Harbaugh saying Robbins is the greatest punter he's ever had in college is good enough.

Few other guys that didn't play much last year but when they did showed life (Mettellus,Onwenu for example).

We really need 1 offensive lineman to step up and 2/3 of Hill, Long and Kinnel to be better than expected and we'll have a very good season I think. I think one of the 4 top 30 WR freshman we signed like Peoples-Jones will end up being a starter since it's a pretty average position group in terms of returning players.

The bright side is I think this has a lot more green and a couple blues near the end of this year.I'd say someonne like Gary and Hurst will easily be elite but can't really put that on them now since they were only rotational players last year behind that NFL DLine.

Here is one I made for Ohio State this year. Staring out on Offense, the Offensive line is going to need to make a big step up from last year. There are four returning starters, but with Billy Price moving to Center, that leaves Right Guard open, and it is expected to be filled by either Malcom Pridgeon, Demeteius Knox, or Matthew Burrell. Meyer has also stated that freshman Wyatt Davis and Nick Meyers are in the mix, but I don't think Urban will start a true Freshman on the O-Line for the second year in a row. I hope the spot goes to Pridgeon, mainly because I had a class with him last year, and he was genuinely a pretty chill dude. I expect Isiah Prince to step up and over preform this year, and think Michael Jordan will improve from some of the struggles and inconsistencies he had playing as a true Freshman last year.

I put JT as elite mainly because he holds just about every qb record at Ohio State, and a veteran qb who has played in many games is a good thing to have. WR has a bunch of talent, but nothing to show for as of now. I think it is the weakest unit on the team and hope they can step it up. Expect Parris Campbell to play every wide out spot. Weber should have a solid year, and there has been nothing but praise for freshman J.K. Dobbins. I kniw a bunch of people expect the offense to be elite this year because of Wilson, but I need to see it in action before I can make a fair statement

Moving on to Defense, it is clearly the stronger of the two units. Defensive line is outstanding, and expect all of those guys in the extra to be rotated in and out regularly. Tracey Sprinkle isn't higher up due to his injury last season, but I expect him to play better. Lb is pretty solid. I put Booker as unproven because of the injury he faced last season, but if Jerome Baker was his backup last year, then by logic he should surpass an already established talent in Baker.

Secondary is another unit filled with talent, but lacking in exerience. The position battle at Safety is between the senior Eric Smith and the Sophomore Jordan Fuller. Signs are pointing towards Smith, but true Freshman Isaiah Pryor is gaining popularity among the coaches. Denzel Ward is probably the most talented among the group, and is getting First Round looks. Damon Webb is the most experienced of the group and is expected to show up as a leader. There are some concerns with experience in this group, but as shown by last season, that isn't always an issue at Ohio State. Expect them to be rotating a lot of guys in at DB in different coverage packages.

Special Teams is going to be rough this year. Chrisman is replacing an amazing punter. Neurnberger has shown an increase in distance to his kicks, but has been replaced by a transfer and a walk on soccer player the past two seasons, so I can't have good expectations for him. Don't know anything about the long snapper except for pic related, but he played last year and I don't remember any poor snaps. Parris Campbell had some decent returns last year and came pretty close to taking a few back. I don't think he will be returning punts though. There are a few guys that will be in the mix for that.

As a lifelong Ohio State fan, I know it is never good to have high expectations or have this much hype going into the yeat, but if WR's can step up, the Offensive line gets better at pass protection, and the deep balls start clicking, I think Ohio State will be the team to beat this year. Hopefully they can stay under the radar because they always seem to over perform when they are underdogs.

He knows the offense better than any of the other qbs and has had the support of the locker room since he was a freshman. I think he is the best possible git for this team. Given how weak the receiving core is and how inconsistent the Offensive line was last year, you need a guy like Barrett at qb to be a leader and make plays, which is what he has done in several big games. Against Wiscy and Michigan last year, he had clutch 4th quarter and OT's. As I mentioned earlier he's the record holder of just about every record for a school not well known for producing great qbs. Call me a JT apologist, but I'd rather have him quarterback this team than anyone else in the country right now, let alone their depth chart.

Barrett is only the starter because they run a lot of option and he's a good/big enough runner to pick up yardage more often than not.

Certainly nowhere near elite as a runner or thrower though. Good runner, bad passer and effective option QB. Won't burn anyone like Denard Robinson or Vince Young would or even complete a decent amount of passes over 15yds like those guys would.

JT is a shitter who can't throw the ball with an accuracy and makes bad decisions. He has gotten lucky with late escapes, but that doesn't make him any good. Every year you see him as a "heisman" hopeful and despite playing all last season, he didn't even get close. He isn't the type of guy you want running one of the top 5 teams in the country because he isn't an elite player in this most important position on the team. They have so much talent behind him; why waste their eligibility instead of promoting one that would be better for the team and allowing them to build their own experience.
