How well would a strongman perform in the NFL? Both Eddie Hall and Hafthor weight more than 400 pounds (180 kg), this makes them 50-100 pounds heavier than the biggest players in the NFL. Their strength and size should at least give them some advantage as tackle guards or some other postion on the offensive/defensive line.

Why would they give up their comfortable strongmen careers for permanent brain damage?
Football is all about your feet though
So you can life someone high, can you move as quickly as them?

Not really asking about their motivation, but there's a lot more money in the NFL than strongman.

This. They're pretty good where they're at. But yeah, I'd imagine they'd make for pretty decent offensive linemen. Defensive too, if they're fast.
Always wondered this too. They're not as quick as your average lineman, but they can plug a hole and strong arm the shit out of anyone at least.

maybe nose tackle or guard, though I'm not sure if they really have the quickness/explosiveness that NFL relies on at nearly every single position
Wouldn't be shocked if a few of them were capable of it.

Their feet probably won't be that good, but they do have some capacity for explosive movement. You can see this at 33 minutes into the video below, when Hafthor throws some kettlebells over a bar.

There's also Brian Shaw who got a couple of world records on the rowing machine one day at the gym when he felt like trying the rowing machine.

Hafthor actually played basketball before getting giant and into strongman, he probably has some athleticism
He's pretty tall which isn't always an advantage leverage wise, but he might be good
Oly shot putters would surely rek

You could also use them as QBs for a laugh

Imagine a 400 lb unsackable QB

Sounds like what one rugby team did, they put a 135kg (298 lb) fijian on the wing. Which is pretty funny the first times
