The thing about Matt is, there is a part of him that is an 'act' for the sake of forcing gimmicks and furthering his '/sp/ identity' so to speak. This is the post (or two posts) that made me, in my opinion. It was here where my career really set off.

I started out 2013 as just Basedogs from the /nrl/ SC league. I also recognized Milky and called him out somewhere near the beginning of the year. However at this time, there was no link between 'Milky's friend' and 'Basedogs from SC'. A little while later, I started ironically tripping as '/nrl/ bro' in /afl/, and Milky recognized me as Basedogs from SC due to 'having similar posting styles'. I decided to confess to Milky that I was also the guy who went to school with him. So now there was a link between the three identities, Milky's friend, Basedogs from SC, and /nrl/ Bro.

Then of course came the 2013 Ashes series in England. You know, the famous series where I started going all out on Obesitygoose. Initially Obesitygoose thought I was 'Angry Iggle', and would always reply to me in such a way (remember the cringeworthy 'IYA CAN'T CONTRAL MAH ANGER!!!' responses that he would post to me?).

Somewhere down the track, I became known as 'trip obsessor' because I was not only attacking goose, but Convict as well. Of course, the Basedogs/Milky's Friend//nrl/ Bro identities were not linked with 'trip obsessor' at this time.

But this summer has really gone to another level. Goose being caught samefagging and forgetting to turn his trip off all but confirmed what type of person he is. Who knows what fucking kind of posts he makes as anon, whilst he tries to present this image of 'that mature trip who always discusses cricket when everyone is shitposting and plays video games and definitely isn't some annoying shitposting cunt'.

I was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, but with the 2011 earthquakes my family and I relocated to Auckland, where I have lived since.

In Christchurch I attended Christ's College boys school, and in Auckland attended Auckland Grammar School until the end of Sixth Form, when I shifted to ACG's Senior College in town for my final high school year. I studied Mathematics (both statistics and calculus), Physics and Chemistry throughout high school, and was accepted into Engineering at University of Auckland, where I am currently studying, in my second year, specialising in Mechanical Engineering.

Outside of academics my passions lie almost entirely with music, I both write my own music and play in a band, and write about music in an online blog that I have run since 2012. I spent much of 2013 and 2014 composing what will be my band's debut album, but issues with personnel have prevented us from completing it. Just got out of hospital. I was attacked by an unknown assailant on Saturday night outside the MCG after the game. I was hit over the head by something heavy and then beaten while I was on the ground. I had never been so scared in my life to tell you the truth. I thought of my wife and my little girl at home and how I might never see them again. I've been placed in a vulnerable position many times but this is probably the first time I ever felt truly helpless.

Anyway I went 6/9 over the weekend but didn't see any of the games on Sunday. I've just watched the West Coast match and will be watching the others to continue to provide an objective opinion on tipping. But part of me doesn't even want to anymore. It's not so much getting beaten up that's depressed me, it's the way in which Essendon won. Normally I would be thrilled to win over the Hawks, but this game was completely rigged. All my friends and acquaintances I was with on the night agreed, and we all put money on Essendon at half time knowing the result would be in our favour.

I mean the umpiring was so contrived to stop Hawthorn's momentum it's not funny. Sure there were bad free kicks both ways, but it's just how they perpetuate the delusion that the games are not fixed. Hopefully this is the only Essendon game that was rigged all year, and I can continue to watch them play without help or hinder from the AFL.

It's like baseball, but instead of a strike zone there are sticks behind you. If they get knocked into you're out. So you just stand there and defend them with your bat. If you hit the ball, it's in play, no matter what direction it went. When it's in play you can run back and forth from one end of the lane to the other. You score by doing this, but if you get tagged by the ball in the middle you're out. So you stop when you think it's too risky, and then you get to bat again. This repeats until they get you out. The other main way to get you out is catching the ball on the fly off your hit.

It's really pretty simple and anyone that gets confused has never actually tried to learn in the first place. Indian kids at my college played this all the time in our roller hockey rink.
