What makes this even worse though is the fact that Neymar really isn't that good and isn't worth anywhere near £200m. I know this is /sp/ and all you need to do to be world class is have one good season in some meme league, but things don't work like that in the real world. He has a completely average goal to game ratio when you consider who he's played for and where.
The real reason he's hyped is because he's Brazilian. That's all it comes down to. People pretend that the Brazil NT is the same as it was in the '70s (and arguably the '90s). There's been a meme hue pushed as the next big thing every single year since the real Ronaldo retired. He's a poster boy for people to plow shekels into and nothing more.
