I think it's unnecessary to swim in an event where she can lose to Pellegrini, Sjöstrom, etc. And another 200m specialist is bound to rise and make it even more difficult to keep up. 400, 800 and 1500 is as already gruelling as it gets, she doesn't need to swim the 200 which is a completely different race. She can swim the 100 and 200 in the relays. Even Phelps knew the 100m was not for him (except in relays). What she's doing is already historical because of te sheer distance she's covering in every championship. And the Olympics will have the 1500m, it would be foolish to also swim the 200m there.

200 and 400 is understandable, as is 100 and 200. Heck, even 400, 800 and 1500 is not unthinkable. But 1500 and 200 are just so completely different that it's hard to imagine someone dominating these extremes. At the Olympics I would just go for the 400, 800 and 1500 + the 4x200 if I were here. She can't let the media influence her with ideas of getting 8 gold medals like Phelps because she's simply not swimming the same events. If she's smart, she can accumulate more medals than Phelps in total during her career. If she's not, she could burn out pretty soon.
