I'm not completely in love with Minnesota - I actually really disliked all their moves except the Butler trade. Gibson is definitely washed. and they probably will be a 5 seed at best just because the West is so insane next year. But you're kidding yourself if you think they're not an incredibly good team. I think you're really underrating how good Butler and KAT are. KAT is an elite scoring big. Butler is an elite two-way wing. You don't need elite spacing to be able to score in the NBA, especially when you have guys who are as good at getting their own shot as Butler and Wiggins, and I believe that Thibs can build a good defense around guys like Dieng and Butler. They have so much talent.

And let's not pretend like Denver doesn't have holes, or like Jokic is some kind of elite defensive big. And they don't have a wing who's close to as good as Butler. As far as I'm concerned, Denver is a fringe playoff team in the West next year (which isn't much of an insult, since they'd be a 5 or 6 seed in the East, but still)

In most teams, Murray isn't a point guard, but I think the Nugs can definitely run two shooting guards around Jokic, who provides the playmaking when he's on the floor. Murray is a talented shooter, and he is still young and should improve over the season. He's not a naturally great defender but he puts in effort, something the other guards don't do. I think long-term (or as long as Jokic sticks around) he's a solid option at the 1 for the nugs, rather than as another undersized 2 like harris.
