Obviously there are some legitimately good athletes but the NBA is just sports entertainment and not a real league. Hyping up these average talents, changing the rules to suit the favored athlete of the day, moving franchises around, the NBA Draft, emphasis on parity etc. It's not something adults with functioning brains should be invested in.

Actually you have to get the basketball over the rim so add another 6", they also don't just barely dunk the ball from a foot away they mostly take off from 5-10 feet so add another 5" to compensate for gravity. That's easily a 25" vertical minimum for NBA athletes. That's pretty impressive considering the average population can't jump over 10". Don't even get me started on the athletes who have 40" verticals. (Vince carter).
