No it wasn't, maybe there were ulterior motives but the fact is that there is low demand for corners and high supply. Other anon mentioned indians as a possible bruce destination, but they will be able to point to that trade as a reference for what they give up when talking to sandy. It was reported sandy is willing to eat salary but I doubt that will help so much.

Would there be much downside to trading Cecchini? He can't play shortstop and while he's under team control a bit longer than the utility infielders on the 25-man roster, I'm not convinced he's a better hitter than TJ or Flores. Ideally teams see the offensive upside and that he's still got rookie status and don't feel bad about giving up their own prospects in return

Lagares was playing his best defensively and offensively since 2014 before going down to injury. I trust a nimmo/lagares platoon. It sucks he was hurt in 2015, I genuinely think he could have been a superstar if he had stayed healthy. I mean there's still time for him but his best defensive years are behind him age-wise.

I like Darvish but I'm not sure another oft-injured flamethrower is the best choice for the team. Although maybe he would make us more attractive to Otani when he decides to come over?
