Even though the level is lower, a good race is a good race and I think it's cool the way they did it so we get a peek at the last climb before the Tour gets there.
Sometimes the level is just so high in the mens races that it makes the race more boring, womens races are less predictable a lot of the time so can be decent entertainment.

I have hundreds of designed routes for my country. All of them have been designed for Garmin Edge (warning about climbs, important intersections etc). Some small, some massive, al pretty well thought out.

I still have the goal next year of making the Portuguese national road N2, from Chaves to Faro. 700+km in 4 or 5 days (nothing too hard)
I have the logistics defined, where to sleep etc, but I still haven't found the time to do it.
I've convinced my gf to do it with me. She will go up front in the morning each and wait for me in designated places, then spend the rest of the holidays in Algarve.

But what I really wanted was 2 or 3 weeks in the Alps. Never ever tho.
