i hate to say it but he's probably got this. he was supposed to have the worst of the weather today but the rain actually softened up the course and the wind hasn't been any worse than it was earlier.

i'd say poulter's group got the worst of the weather. the DJ / Rory group had 9 decent holes but then 9 nightmarish ones with no rain to soften the greens. they didn't have a great time either.

spieth, on the other hand, had 6 holes with managable wind, then had to deal with wind and rain for about 5 holes, then the break, since then it has been on and off wind and a receptive course. not the apocalypse we were led to believe. which is fair enough, i don't like to see the draw totally deciding the open. he has been brilliant so far.
